those lights dont crack very often. They are supposed to be water proof but most of the time they are not. If water gets in them all it does is flip the breaker.
that was an easy job lol as long as the lights are off soulardbill your pretty safe unless you just turned it off and the housing is so hot it cracks lol has happened to me before
