  • “To me, that’s all I need to know”

Then you, lady, are bound to remain ignorant for your whole life, willingly believing in bullshit. Education is necessary to get rid of people like you, who choose not to believe in evidence. We have evidence, evolution is a fact and it has been proven over and over. If you choose not to believe in facts, and choose to believe in fairy tales, that’s your problem and your ignorance should die with you.

  • @Shakespeare4Christ "Check out ICR.org. They do some awesome research about origins"

Interestingly, the above website you mentioned is currently down. Regardless, what kind of 'origins' research are they doing that you find so awesome?

  • I think it is fair and impartial. I believe in freedom of choice and that folks should choose what they believe in instead of having something pushed on them. Evolution has been pushed on us for a long time now. I think that intelligent design should have a voice of its own but be put to close scrutiny just as "modern science" At least let that theory float or sink on its own instead of trying to destroy it. At the core of my post,,, things should be fair, not one-sided, like they are now.

  • @Landotter1 " intelligent design should have a voice of its own"

I don't think anyone would disagree with you. However, if supporters of ID want ID to be a REAL scientific theory like evolutionary theory, then ID needs to be able to make predictions or solve problems just like any other scientific theory (atomic theory, germ theory, etc). Until ID can be applied usefully, it doesn't do anything more valuable than 'stork theory' does for science. Science is a tool used to solve problems.

  • @blaisingm Agreed!!!

  • @Landotter1 ID ha been put to close scrutiny, and it turned out to be bullshit. So, there you go. You have facts, and you have fiction. It's not fair and impartial to push fiction when it's about scientific matters. If you are talking about science, then you do science. ID is not science, it's fairy tales.

  • @BortolanAlexandre speaking of fairey tales, lets talk about evolution!!!

  • @Landotter1 for which there is actual evidence. that you don't want to accept facts and substitute them with fairy tales is your problem only

  • @BortolanAlexandre well, then, Please tell me such fairy tails. I have never heard them. Please give such evidence of these fairy tales, to validate your statement.

  • @Landotter1 Well, for instance, a magical bearded man in the sky, who can contravene to the laws of physics, created the universe and Earth. He is caring and loving, and will put you on this earth to be killed by famine, or an earthquake, or a tsunami when you are 6 years old, knowing in advance that your existence will be made of starvation and suffering and slow, painful death, because he loves you oh so much. A lot of people actually believe this stuff.

  • @BortolanAlexandre OK, now, where is such evidence that this is a fairy tale and not real?

  • @Landotter1 are you asking me if there is evidence that kids die for no reason every day? If you have your head THAT up your butt that you can't see it, then you are beyond hope, sorry.

  • @BortolanAlexandre What does this meaningless statement have to do with anything? Kids die every day regardless of religion, you stupid fag, now go elsewhere with your uslessness.... I'm done here.

  • @Landotter1 This meaningless statement means that an all powerful, loving god created humankind so some of their members can get cancer at 20 years old, other can die of starvation, kids can die before they reach 10 because of some incurable illness, others are born blind, or mentally handicapped, etc, and that was all because of the will of said god. If someone actually believes such a god is just and loving, then that someone is believing in fairy tales, like the lady in the video.

  • @BortolanAlexandre boo hoo-hoo, so cry me a river... life's tough, get over it gurley mouth.

  • @Landotter1 You are either missing the point of willfully ignoring it. In both cases, suit yourself. Evolution remains solid fact, intelligent design remains a fairy tale. We have hard evidence for evolution. We have made up stories from the Bronze Age for intelligent design. You are obviously free to pick whatever option you want. One is still fact, the other is still made up bullshit.

  • @BortolanAlexandre What proves your statement wrong, at least now, is that if Evolution is "fact" it wouldn't still be a THEORY. Wake up man. Who has willfully ignored what? dude, think about it before you say all other is bullshit. You haven't even looked into it yourself. It is obvious by your comments. A theory isn't even close to fact. Fact lends to no further discussion as it has been broken down to its most simple form, and evolution has not. think about it.

  • @BortolanAlexandre Oh, and true to atheist form, you still haven't provided me with any evidence that the other is bullshit. You bring up unrelated things. Gee, I wonder why.... Don't even bother to respond if you have no evidence. I will not argue any further. GET THE EVIDENCE OR FORGET IT!!!

  • @Landotter1 You clearly have no idea of what a scientific theory is. Look it up. The fact that you think that a scientific theory is some sort of “guess” explains the huge level of ignorance you dwell in. Learn what a scientific theory is, then come back. And again, I don’t have to bring any evidence, because I’m not the one making the claim. You make the claim, you bring proof. Evolution has solid and factual proof of how things happened. Whether you like it or not.

  • religion is always starting wars....be it the crusade and etc. they always start wars with science also. religion is a control mechanism.

  • @VanMedia Just as any religion, who controls the knowledge of the day controls governments and such as well. Leaving religion out of it all, mankind will fight and kill for control, wealth, power, no matter what. to blame religion for everything is pretty far-fetched. I won't disagree that many wars have been caused by religion, but not all. Science and knowledge aren't blameless. many have been controlled, killed or discredited over new scientific theories too. To blame all religion is dumb.

  • If mythology/religion can be tought in Science class, then Im guessing that Math can also be tought in History class. This would be a horrible idea.

  • Oh, wow, Monkey Trial is not over yet?

  • America is retarded. Viva Darwin!

  • @Shakespeare4Christ Intelligent Design doesn't need any help making it look ridiculous. You speak of science... REAL science is when you look at the facts first before forming a conclusion, not the other way around. REAL scientists are willing to admit when they are wrong, for the sake of collective knowledge. It doesn't matter what they believe, all that matters is the truth. At least ideally. I'm kind of generalizing.

  • @Shakespeare4Christ: No, it doesn't. There is simply no science in it, and the ICR would be the first to say so as well. Unfortunately, the ICR's research all begins in the Bible and ends with what supports it's words; no less.

  • Lewis Black once said that whenever people argue for "Intelligent Design" he just responds "fossil!" While that's not a scientific approach, I'll have to say that would have to wrap it up for me.

  • science class? who the hell invented such stupid subject? we are beign taught phycisc, chemistry, biology, etc. in different classes. the same way we are being taught math, computer literacy or geometry separately, not just scrambling everything in something like "numbers class". how the life began and what is its purpose should not be taught by anyone anywhere. everybody needs to figure it out on the way through life. some schools must really think their students dont deserve a brain.

  • @jiripilat Nobody should study the origins of species? That's the dumbest thing I've heard a long, long time!

  • @jiripilat: Science classes, used in this video and the whole basic argument, include all those you mentioned. You included biology; why should it talk about insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, primates, monkeys and then dodge when it comes to humans? As a matter of fact, the class affected by the happenings in this video was a biology class. The problem of not training a brain is reflected in your own posting.

  • ID is creationism with a hood pulled over it

i cant believe how damn stupid people can be

  • ID as a hypotheis is almost ideal to demonstrate the scientific method. Id says there is a designer. OK, what did he design, where did he do it, what materials did he have available, did he start from scratch or modify an existing design. Did he make any mistakes , or leave examples of poor design. Why did he design what he did.? what predictions does ID make , and how can we test them.? I predict a very short course and an epic fail for ID as science.

  • the church would not like scientist at church

so why should they put up with church at school

  • You know ... I thought about "What would I do if I was a teacher there"

I would accept to teach them both

But I would do it in a way to show that Creationism defiles reality

"If ID is correct we would expect this ... but we get this" and so on

  • @RazielKain Right, but then you get people complaining that you're mocking their beliefs. Not to mention that in practical terms you don't want to teach contradictory things, it's usually better to merely cover the stuff you know is accurate instead of also having to disprove the stupid.

  • @Darkstar1484 Kids already know the creationist crap

"According to Creationism we would find fossils of all ages mixed but we find them in the correct order"

  • Wow. "In the beginning god created. That's all I need to know,". That just proves how future science education will be if we teach ID. Also, teaching the theory of Evolution does NOT in any way force children to stray from their beliefs, NOR does it force them to believe the theory at all. The only point of ID is to force religion into schools. Preach what you want at home. Leave schools to education, not fairy tales.

  • I like how they make them read a script on "gaps in evolution". Should we read about about the gaps in other theories before we teach them? Theories may have gaps but the information on them are based on facts and evidence, Not opinions and fairy tales.

  • Why do both 'Creationists' and 'Scientists' are so hard-headed close-minded? Quantum theory are now suggesting of a 'Creator'. That's favorable for the 'Creationists'. It is also favorable for the 'Scientists' because using science they can find the 'Creator'. Unfavorable for the 'Scientists because they are proving that there is a 'Creator'. Unfavorable for the 'Creationists' because science can find the 'Creator'. So please reconcille...

  • @drag0nblight Creationist are closed minded. IF it does not match their idea of what the bible says, it is automaticly wrong.

Science does not comment on the supernatural.

  • @drag0nblight: Can't, sorry. The whole idea about science is to seek natural reasons and causes for all reality, to the greatest extent possible. You can think of that as an anti-creator bias. Quantum mechanics most certainly does not suggest a creator; Reconciliation on the basis of allowing for a creator is antithetical to all that science is trying to do.

  • i think the funniest part of the whole debate is that the creationists want to be taken seriously.... good science is science that questions itself (making it infinitely better than religion) but if you want scientists (or anyone else) to take you seriously yoou can't come to the table with the intellectual equivalent of "yeah.... well.... you're a stupidhead and we're not friends anymore"....

  • intelligent design is just creation science with a more "scientific sounding" name.

  • @12stepfailure: many of the scientists at the DI would wish this weren't true, but the problem is that altogether too much of their following derives from creationism's roots; all their "scientists" have been steeped in creationism from the start and still think in those terms. ID itself fails as a science, this was shown in the trial. But it also fails as a philosophy, as shown by its direct adaption of the Pandas and People book and the Wedge document. God needs this sort of help?

  • If God is the creator of all things, He would also be the creator of science and He Himself is the ultimate scientist. Theologians try to reduce God down to something that they can understand, Scientists theorize bending space back upon itself (worm holes) to reduce the universe down to something that they can reach. Science and theology together is no contradiction, there is where you find the better scientists and theologians.

  • 00:17. Rest In Peace, Peter Jennings.

  • There is intelligence connecting and directing all things in this universe. The US DOD knows that the connection between all freed electrons is highly intelligent. Roger Vogelsang hooked a computer up to a device, a self thinking interface, and it communicated digitally. The force called quantum entanglement, which is timeless, triggered his device and knew events before they happened. Predicted the random characters before they were conceptualized in the computer then communicate with him.

  • Intelligent design is the only truth. Don't worry, the truth will come out soon enough. I don't blame scientists for overlooking the facts, I blame those who control the masses for keeping the facts from the people then making the scientists shut up else loose their credentials or die like Roger Vogelsang.

  • People can give me several thumbs down, only because they are scared of the truth, I don't really care. If you research quantum entanglement you will see that between every freed electron is a force connecting everything timelessly. Meaning the connection is an instant and defies Einstein's c in Relativity. Vogelsang said it showed thought ahead of time. That is why he created the self thinking interface back in the 80's. It wasn't until he got his first computer could he try it out, an Osborne.

  • So, when will alchemy be taught along side with chemistry?

IMO we don't need periodic table with 118 elements, four is enough. Earth, Air, Water and Fire.

  • @muranziel <Well, you can actually classify the 118 elements of the periodic table as Earth for solids, Air for gases, Water for liquids, and Fire for radio-active. Also, you can classify the states of matter, Earth for solid, Water for liquid, Air for gas, and Fire for plasma. Plasma is the newest state of matter. It was shown on a Discovery Channel Video at least about a year or two ago.

  • @drag0nblight But that would lead to a situation where we'd have 4 categories with uneven amount of elements, gaps between them and what not.

If elements are to be organized like that, what about water? Don't you think for consistency's sake water category should include the elements from which it forms? Oxygen and hydrogen would be in "air" category even tho the molecule whey form is a category. Gets some what confusing.

What about elements with two properties?

  • @drag0nblight Like Element number 92, Uranium. It's solid so I goes to earth category but it's also Radioactive which would put it to fire category. So how should we place these elements?

At what temperature should we determine if elements should goto earth water air or fire?

  • @drag0nblight ''Fire for radio-active'' LOL

Are you trying to take us back to the age of Greece?

    at least the Dark Ages.

  • @drag0nblight: The Discovery channel just discovered plasma? Wow. Not only the newest state but also the oldest. That's quite a discovery. Perhaps they should have asked a scientist.

  • I can't believe how many idiots think intelligent design is science. Let's be honest, it's religion hiding behind a lab coat.

  • @Michigan1985 <Then explain what is in the missing links of the Darwinian Evolution Theory. If you're a scientist, then you should be open-minded and try to prove that there is no Intelligent Design scientifically.

  • @drag0nblight I'm not a scientist, but I'm smart enough to know you can't disprove a negative. Your the one making case for intelligent design, so it's up to you to prove it. All your "proof" and "evidence" has been debunked several times over.

Have any belief you want, but just remember to keep it out of the science class room. Ok? k! :)

  • Easy... but circular.

Science is what we can know beyond any reasonable doubt. What Inteligent Design scientists do is to show the weakeness of the theory of evolution

Like the statistical improbability of something good come from accidental recombinations of a damaged DNA.

Also the innumerable frauds perpetrated by evolution scientists.

I believed in this shit (the theory of evolution) and I am grateful the the ID scientists for educate me better on this subject.

  • intelligent design is not real science cuz god is not science

  • the problem is everyone wants to be right..or content with their beliefs so that they can go about their life and have it make sense to them. belief structures are a matter of convenience nothing more.

  • What are the goals of intelligent design!? Once everyone is converted, are we going to just be satisfied with "god did it" and stop trying to understand what is physically going on around us?!

  • That goes against Plato's Allegory of the Cave (yes, he did give the allegory credit to Socrates). Once we know how species came into being, can one just put it on a shelf and live a life of ignorance? Hopefully, according to Plato, that we don't find that satisfying or else creationism will take over. God without science is a religion based on illusion.

  • @ehhhhhhhhhh ARE YA Kiddn !?? Thomas Edison, Ben Franklin, Albert Einstein are JUST a MERE FEW that believed in GOD !!!!!!!!!!!! I am a CHRISTIAN to the BONE, and I firmly believe in Science, exploration, and discovery and learning about all aspects of culture.. I just dont except any theory as fact such as evoluttion..

  • @jfitguru except evolution has been proven...... Hell you can see simple evolutions around the world now....

  • @Ritalynn666 PROVE IT.. And there lies the ARENA of DEBATE and Evidence.. See You and I have the same data, same evidences, same sciences and research when it comes to our opposing views, However , it is our Interpretation of all this that differs ! You see Evolution, I See a Creator AND a designer ..

  • @ehhhhhhhhhh What is the goal of atheists like Richard Dawkins? At least, that is clear! Worship the ground on which he walks, and shut up if you don't want to be sent to the eugenics lab. Modern science is an intellectual cartel, nothing more!

  • @twombonu Hyperbole, much?

  • Yea, and astrology alongside astronomy. Alchemy alongside Chemistry, etc etc.

  • Peter Jennings was on NOVA?! That's AMAZING!!!! I do miss him being on TV. He was a great news anchor. It was a sad shame that he passed away in Summer 2005. But he died peacefully in his home with his familiy by his side. May his soul rest in peace.

  • If Creationists are so determined to foster *equal treatment* for Evolution and Creation in the nation's school science classrooms....

... they could make a start by granting Evolution equal time being effectively taught from all those CHURCH PULPITS?

Yeah! Let's see how equivocally they REALLY want the "controversy" discussed, eh?

  • Gringos idiotas!

  • Hope this american sect don't get much influence in europe, especially in germany.

Their influence on the american policy seems to be big enough to lead the country into two wars against the "enemys of israel"

    Poor educated america.

  • Comment removed

  • I support Evolution...yet, I fail to see how this video qualifies as 'propaganda' as some people here are claiming.

  • It feels like a cop out, "it's to hard, so lets not try." That's just silly. I'm not going to dump on it, but let BOTH sides do research and prove it either way. not "you are wrong, I am right die die die" bullpoop we all pull.

  • They have. Evolution is FACT. The theory in evolution theory is what causes the changes to come about

  • The theory in evolution documents....

  • Thearyan3 - nsm88 is an excuse for Nazism to continue. You and your perfect Aryan can suck a dick. This ideology is what brought about the Holocaust. Why don't you get educated you stupid FUCK. Go spread your bullshit paranoid conspiracy propaganda some where else you stupid fuck. I seriously wish people like you would jump off a cliff. Go fuck yourself you stupid ass cock sucking fuck.

  • @UTuBombEr <I'm just a simple person trying to get knowledge. And I go with your point. But... don't you think you have used **ck too much. FUCK THAT NAZI BITCH, SUCK YOUR COCKS YOU FUCKING COCK SUCKING NAZI STUPID ASSES. Ooops, what did just slipped my fingers. Hehehe... I think I used too much, too.

  • Creationists are awesome pre-conceptual scientists. They reach their conclusions before doing any research then simply dismiss anything contrary to their preconceived notions.

You can dismiss this post as propaganda too.

  • Evolutionists have done it many many times.

  • "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, FOR ME, that's all I need to know" - portraying creationists as ignorant is the reason they put this quote in

It is not a violation of constitutional rights to be taught what a great segment of the population believes. A great segment of the population believes in creationism. Frankly, I do not think creationism should be taught in schools by secular teachers, instead teachers should point out evolution's flaws.

    This video is propaganda.

  • Creationists are ignorant of biology.

  • well I as a Hindu believe when Brahma the creator and Shiva the destroyer made love, the earth was created. why can't we teach this in school?

  • I think that should be taught...but in the realm of Humanities.

  • Inteligent Design do not pretend to teach theology of any religion only show that the theory of evolution is wrong and suggest another explanation. An inteligent Creator.

Theology should be teached in the temples.

  • The courts ruled that shit? Really? I am astonished!

Now, would you be kind enough to define "scientist" for me?

Wake up kids you have been deceived.

  • Science is the only thing that should be taugh in science class.

  • Define "science".

  • @Edinaldo08

The courts ruled, "Science is what scientists do, and they don't do ID or IC."

    Easy enough?

  • @gregrutz <Then 'Intelligent Design Theory' should also be taught in Science class. Dawinian Evolution Theory should be proven first of all the Families of living things. If not, then 'Intelligent Design Theory' should be proven as not acceptable using the scientific way.

  • @drag0nblight You didn't watch the video, did you?

ID has been proven to be religion not science. Evolution has been proven to have happened.

  • @gregrutz Exactly. How much simpler can that be said?

  • @YoungNubb <It is a field of science when the scientific community accepted it as a counter-theory of Evolution. I think Intelligent Design goes with Evolution. Don't you think. With too much diversity of living things they came from a single bacteria. It is way too much. Living things may have came from different entities from the start (the Intelligent Design) and as time goes by they changed to what they are (the Evolution). It is theologically scientific and scientifically theological.
