I honestly think the sound of the bass sounds like a fat guy taking a shit at times, can someone tell me it's purpose? I rarely here it in songs..Is it supposed to add beat?..I'm sorry to those who play bass..But that questions been in my mind for a long time.

@TheVorpion The bass in a band is necessary. If you don't have one, then there could be no sense of partial melody. In each band, there is a bass for the low sound that it produces. Listen to songs more carefully and I assure you that you will hear it.
