Today was the only day i could get off to do some works around my house..... so I borrowed the BIG jack hammer from work (boss said it was ok for me to use it) to get as much done in a day :D
Just dont well the wife Im doing revnos while she is away
where is the huge damage to the adjacent building? Scratches on the walls or something?
Dunno why they are demolishing the building anyways, looks like a perfectly good house. We should build these shit out of concrete and steel, build them to last and you don't need to rebuild them every 50 years.
What is so unsafe with this, exept for the power lines/clothes lines? This is common practice. Yes the digger is big, but the hammer hes got is quite heavy, and its a long reach.
There is one thing above all else that ruins a contractors day, and it is people like you, people who cant bear a little noise and complains about everything. Perphaps they should have demolished that buildning with sledgehammers and wheelbarrows, would that be a good idea? Lets hammer on for a few weeks.
Hmm, I like the way you signed your comment! (Idiot... ;)
If the caption is correct, before the video started, he was damaging the neighbors house, which I would consider unsafe.
The power lines are a major safety issue. I don't know if you have worked on a real job when their are powerlines near, but I'll tell you that this was unsafe by those standards!
The noise complaints are bad, but if he is doing this on a holiday, they are well warranted!
While I agree any damage to neighbouring houses would be unsafe, there is definately nothing in this video that shows damage has been done.
I agree powerlines are a safety issue - that is why he is establishing a work area off the street and away from the powerlines which are heavily insulated and may even be switched off. There is also a banksman.
Maybe the work had to be done on a holiday as it involved closing the road?
By "Best Practice" standards over in in California, this would be unsafe.
It is in Malta, so it might be safe by the standards they are used too!
This could be a well planned operation with a good operator trying to reduce the impact to traffic and having city permission to shut the street, or it could be somebody trying to get it done on a holiday so the officials don't catch him and red-tag him and not caring about others. I have worked for both types! :)
the only way those are clothes lines are if they're sending clothes to the dry cleaners four blocks down you dumb ass i never seen clothes line that thick and how are you going to have clothes lines going to two buildings down?
thats just they way they are I have seen it quiet a few times in between buildings in the big citys power lines in the citys are underground for a reason dumb fuck im a fireman I know this shit
yes because i'm sure they're up to code.. the funny thing is.. if they're fking clothes lines WHY DON'T ANY OF THEM HAVE ANY CLOTHES ON THEM YOU DUMB ASS fyi you dont have to be intelligent to be a firemen

Is the transformer just to supply power to the absent clothes then?
LastCynicStanding 3 years ago
They are most likely powerlines, but one remark on you point. A clothesline doesn't have clothes on it 24/7. You can find some without clothes.
