  • Why do women complain so much?

  • Right on Dad!

    Cheers Christine

  • Amazing. I adored this talk.

  • You can almost hear her self centered soul cry "I did this , I did that , I protested , I volunteered ,bla bla bla" . The same "look at me i'm special" litany all over again. In the words of Bernard Chapin: STANDARD!

  • there things feminst are i accurate&dead rong.men having advantiges in the work place in many jobs imployer faver women from dinners to secraterys&child care.history of women opresion in the renaissance men allso were slaves&were worked much harder then women.seriving in the miltery being told you ca,nt go get shot at will having to shot&kill your self&not having a days rest will in mugie masceto riten jungle is will you see&almost get violentcy killed&get scared for life is much

  • wors then being told you have to

  • Not sure that the content she spoke of was completely relevant to "Reinventing Feminism" but I still think it was valuable to hear. Isn't that the least amount of respect we owe her, and one another? To listen? And understand, if not try to understand?

Too many people dismiss feminism because of the many misconceptions that are associated with it...

  • Reinventing feminism? Isn't that like reinventing the wheel? O your giving the wheel more hands to point with this time...

  • More Bull $hit from the same group of Idiots, and Manginas.

Feminism was crap, is crap, and will always be crap.

  • Imagine the arrogance this dickhead possesses to be "let down" when she graduated from Shithead University and she "didn't save the world." Nauseating.

  • What a misinformed, smug, self-important airhead douche!

  • Was there any content in this talk? I got about half way through and then skipped ahead, since it just seemed to be a bunch of solipsistic, self-congratulating babel.

  • I am pretty sure that all the dislikes come from people who looked at the title of the video, saw "feminism" and assumed that this video was all about man-hating.

  • @Alittleoperalover LOL!

This Video is a thinly veiled attempt to save a movement of BS, Marxism from the 1960's. Feminist IS in fact one of the MOST man hatting sites on the web.

The hell with the "White Bitch" and "Jewish White Bitch" and her agenda.

These people should have been wiped out in the early 1900's when they started their shit.

  • hahaha, has anyone dissing this bothered to listen to the whole talk? Keep your eyes and ears open! There is a lot to learn for any sex :) We're here to coexist, feminism is only about equality. Women have gone through HELL to get anything, ability to vote, ability to get birth control...and not too long ago. So don't mislabel feminists as man-haters, we have a long way to go to have equal RIGHTS.

  • I loved this talk.

  • Courtney Martin let the mask slip 5 years ago in an Alternet article in which she admitted that her leftist activism is a giant projection of her faults and flaws onto the entire world. She wrote, "It is not the world outside of me that is in most desperate need of my world-changing instincts. It is the world inside of me."

She admits her motivation as "whiny white guilt" and an "attachment to the idea that I am a humble truth teller among powerful fibbers."

    Leftists are truly sick people.

  • @Torgo1969 im brown

  • Fuck feminism

  • @QQSlayerQQ fuck you, hater

  • After watching the video and reading the comments (responding to many of them), I still do not understand why this video is getting so much hate. Women's rights are still an issue today and if some closed-minded assholes don't realize that, then they really need to start watching the news more often. Feminists do not blame men for the issue, they blame the people that are just too scared to make a change. I liked the video, found it very interesting, and gave it a thumbs up.

  • @ienjoyoreos Dude, this is the nice side of feminism, the side free of radicals. See the radicals and you will see most feminists.

  • @desertasophy Education opportunities were obtained long before the feminist movement started (don't confuse it with the Suffrage movement) in the 1960s. Equal rights on the job market? What does that mean exactly? Women doing the same jobs as men always get paid the same, in fact more nowadays 117% of men get.

And choosing between homelessness and starvation and a job is forced employment. Obviously.

  • Audiences

This video is most popular with:

    Gender Age

    Male 35-44

    Male 45-54

    Male 25-34

    says it all

  • Go to the kitchen ..biatch!

  • @alienkishorekumar How old are you? 10? Grow up.

  • she is 30, she looks old for a 30 year old woman. I am 29 and if 30 year old women look like that then I am not marrying them.

  • reinventing feminism really??? more like inventing new ways of extorting money and milking men of the last penny from their pockets.

  • lol what a perfect example, they demand a totally separate even called "ted women"

why isnt there a "ted men" event? cos the fucking feminists would campaign against it calling it sexist, and men dont require constant self-aggrandisement.

and she has the fucking ovaries to bring up the paygap lie.

    fuck. you.

  • @mikesomething Maybe you've forgotten the fact that about 90% of the news and politics is still focused on men. White, middle aged, and closed-minded men. It wouldn't surprise me if you were categorized as one of them.

  • @ienjoyoreos why lie stupid cunt ? women spend 70% of the money that gets spent and the media knows it and is geared towards them. why lie ?

we can both make up crap.

erm, yeah er, 90% of the media is all about women, cos like thats how it is yeah.

  • @mikesomething Cunt means Holy Well, stupid manhole. I knew when I saw a talk on feminism I'd see guys hating on it. Pathetic, really....

  • @mikesomething the purpose of tedwomen is to specifically address and discuss women's issues (most prominently past and present gender inequality). The reason a tedmen does not exist is because there are few "men's issues/problems" that exist. The reason we have these events is for the same reason we have "black history month" or "gay pride day", because total equality is yet to be achieved.

  • @ashdudeification Few men's issues exist? Or maybe you're just willingly blind to them. Homeless- 80% male, Family courts & divorce courts are sexist to say the least, criminal courts- women serve 40% less time for same crimes, less $ spent on mens health issues, false rape accusations 33%, 93% of workplace deaths are men, ZERO parental surrender rights that women have, suicides -80% male..... all this off the top of my head but yeah... men's issues don't exist.

  • too late bitch! feminism failed!

  • What exactly has the Feminist movement achieved? Other than forcing women to work for 8-12hrs/days, 5-7 days/week, that is.

    Answers please.

  • @historypoliticsbb how about voting rights?

  • @nenozezeful Suffrage movement. The word feminist wasn't used until 1913. That would be like claiming that the peasants in the Peasants' Revolt of 1381 were Marxists.

    Feminist movement was '60s onwards.

  • @historypoliticsbb The ability to work 8-12 days, 5-7 days/week? Work is good. Feels good, man. etc.

  • @FascistFemale 'Facist' female? Says it all really.

    ARBEIT MACHT FREI

  • @historypoliticsbb And yet I recognize and advocate against the thinly veiled misandry that's rampant in Feminism.

    Nice.

  • @FascistFemale Oh sorry, was your point not serious? If your point was sarcastic then I sincerely apologise, but you'll forgive me for misinterpreting it with a name like 'fascistfemale' I hope.

  • @historypoliticsbb Nobody /forces/ you to do anything. You can sit on your ass at home and do nothing if you really like. But you know, some of us women like making something out of ourselves.

  • @ienjoyoreos 'us women' you really have been brainwashed by the 'education' system and media haven't you. We need to do away with these divisions and unite as human beings, men and women, against the ruling elites who control us primarily through the monetary system.

In any case, no, you are not free to 'sit on your ass at home and do nothing'. If you haven't noticed, you can't have a home, or even eat and drink, unless you work pretty long hours in boring, dead end job.

  • What two guys? It skips at that point

  • To all of you saying that this is a joke, or that because she lives in the West she has no right to say these things, keep in mind that everything is relative. I live in the West as well, but I definitely feel discriminated against at times. I don't know what it's like to live under Shariah, but I know that I am a feminist, and I will fight for what I believe in.

  • What a joke. Drop the Gender Studies, Journalism and Nonprofit Management Degrees, and enroll in chemical or computer engineering. Then perhaps someone will respect you. Until then shut up and make babies.

  • @shmiggen You, sir, are an asshole.

  • Women are submissive and support their men

  • I LIKE PENIS

  • Her father quit the male business club because it would not eventually welcome his daughter. And that is a BAD thing? The only thing I could fault that club for would be that it did not OPENLY state that it was "men only". Did they not have enough stones to put this in their charter, overtly?

If somebody started a chess club, I wouldn't hold it against them if they did not "welcome" entomologists or stamp collectors.

No, that's not a false analogy --but it takes a paradigm shift to see this.

  • This is stupid. If she's living in Arab world or a 3rd world country then she can talk about equal rights. She's living in the West and feel discriminated? Live under the Shariah for a month bitch and you'll be more grateful to your men.

  • @giriisindahouse Western feminists are the most spoiled and pampered "victims" in the world. Feminists sit in air-conditioned offices and whine about how "oppressed" they are. Meanwhile, men are outside in the sweltering heat, pounding hammers, building things, lifting, getting dirty... all the things that make a feminist's standard of living possible. And is the feminist grateful? Nope. She just spits in our faces.

  • @JesusManson323 exactly. Personally I think you guys treat your women more than fairly. You guys don't need to be that soft on your women when they don't feel grateful in return. In my country, men aren't that soft on women and so women are very modest. And you see a similar pattern in the whole of Asia, and its worse in Muslim countries. I'm not supporting our ideology but women do realize how far a man can go over here and I don't think your women understand that.

  • @JesusManson323 I do agree with you to a partial extent it is true, there are difference between white, black, international feminism because every culture is different. And men in this society, are more willing and sympathetic to our cause then ever before. But women's rights is still a pressing issue and discrimination and misogyny is still widely present. Maybe in some places more than others, but its still in our music, our tvs, our offices, the alley ways, the block, mindset

  • @giriisindahouse I have to say that I disagree with you for many reasons. Why couldn't she talk about equal rights ? Because she lives in the West ? Women are still not equally paid for the same job , the same work experience and the same qualifications. I thint that's unfair.

  • a woman can even accuse a man of rape (after she got drunk, and then changed her mind the next morning) and destroy him with no evidence. a woman's word holds up a lot higher in court. and the amount of support women get for domestic violence, yet when a man is being abused, he's called a wuss and no one would even take him seriously. They make it sound like men are the only people who commit crimes, well it goes both ways, but no, feminists want women to be victims and men perpetrators.

  • @zIxNiGhTMaRexIz NOBODY deserves to be raped. If a woman is drunk, naked, and screaming songs about Dumbledore, she still does NOT deserve to be raped. You are uneducated, closed-minded, and you need to think before you decide to speak.

  • It's a joke because feminists make it a joke. They have no one to blame but themselves and their actions. Feminism is filled with female chauvinists, male-bashing and completely non-nonsensical arguments. Feminists only look at one side of things, and only want to deal with women's problems, even though they are pretty damn privileged in today's Western society. They have achieved far better rights to men in most ways, and feminists still continue to demand more, and complain.

  • TED talks are usually clever, profound, and ingenious in their simplicity; this clip is none of that. All she does is talk about her childhood, mention feministing, and throw out a couple of fluffy and nonsensical mantras. There's nothing about reinventing feminism here at all.

  • women don't care about men's issues, because everything is men's fault right? Wrong. People of the male gender created civilization that, ironically, protects women today.

  • As a woman I cant wait for feminism to just die already. I have never been treated more equal with feminism. All it did was put a big chip on my shoulder. But when I relaxed and was just myself, then men treated me just fine.

  • @WomanAgainstFeminism Not being treated equal isn't an act of feminism, men or anyone treating you "just fine" is what feminism is about. If you're a "woman against feminism", then you are against the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes- (note: not just females). Too many people assume the feminist stereotype: man-hating, in your face, and not caring about men's rights without realizing that a real feminist is an advocate for human rights.

  • @jameskalla

Feminism cannot call itself for equality as it has never done anything for men.

Feminism is the idea that you can solve the problems of sex equality by focusing on the problems of one sex.

  • @jameskalla I don't assume anything about feminism. All you have to do is look at the record to see what feminism is all about. If feminism really cared about people and not just women it would be called humanism and not feminism.

  • You jelly, bro? Strange how I posses more casual knowledge of feminism than a feminist. Thus proving the best fascist is the one that does not think it is a fascist. "Man-hating is everywhere, but everywhere it is twisted and transformed, disguised, tranquilized, and qualified. It coexists, never peacefully, with the love, desire, respect, and need women also feel for men. Always man-hating is shadowed by its milder, more diplomatic and doubtful twin, ambivalence." -- Judith Levine

  • @zkriski you're not even "in your camp" what does the MRM do. They don't even have a mens shelter yet.

  • MRM = equal protection of the law and equal protection of government.

    Feminism = hate.

  • RIGHT! I'm gonna be the first to say it... GET TO THE FUCKIN' KITCHEN

  • @JAMamation Actually men are better cooks. So im gonna get my ass in the kitchen and make me a grilled-cheese samich! Mmmm MMMmm! Thats good eat'n!

  • @JAMamation lol I've built kitchens but I'm a lousy cook. Salmonella anyone?

  • @Buntzums

    haha xD

  • @zkriski men's rights advocacy is a sub-branch of liberal feminism. feminism is about the equality of males and females. right now there isn't equality. over 80% of the homeless are men, and over 85% of prisoners are men. there is obviously a problem with the way we treat men as compared to women. women are safer at work even if they are payed less. being a feminist is being an equalist. right now i see men being treated very poorly.

  • @zkriski Look up the history of Feminist thought in "historiography" (the history of history writing) and you will see it comes right out of the Marxist historical ideology. They just replaced "Capitalists" with "Patriarchy".

The Women's Suffrage Movement was NOT "feminist". Those women were 1) Anti-Abortion 2) Pro-Family and 3) Conservative. The "Second Wave" feminists just hijacked that history.

Ironically, the Women's Suffrage Movement would be rejected by today's feminists as "too extreme".

  • i don't get why she thinks it's great for her mother to have a women’s only film festival and at the same time think it's wrong for her father to be part of a men’s only business club

  • @g2thaz because she's dumb

  • @sronsr quite

  • @g2thaz Its not fascism when we do it -- the classic cry of the brainwashed fascist.

  • WHY

  • "my dad said he would never be apart of an organization that would accept his son and not his daughter" So he moves to a woman only organization that will accept his daughter and not his son? -_-

See feminists don't want equality, they want advantage.

  • @DannyBISFAJohnson I tell you, 10 years ago men making astute comments like this were unheard of. Now, the majority of men on youtube know exactly what the score is. The cat is out of the bag. All thats left is for American men to sit back with a bowl of popcorn and a 6-pack and watch feminism collapse in a smouldering heap. Then females will beg men to save them, but men will just sit and smile, and maybe tell our *foreign* wives that we love them because they are not feminists.

  • @gulskjegg can't wait either :)

  • Love feminism? Watch this- /watch?v=HXeszLlTX5E

  • I came here to dislike this video. That is all.

  • @MensRightsVideos No sweat man, and no worries. Females require men far more than men require females. Men also have nearly limitless options with women in other nations. A core element in modern feminism is the comical assumption that men will continue to engage in behavior that is not in their best interests. The ongoing and growing Marriage Strike proves this to be patently false. This is not a battle of the sexes, because men won a long time ago. Just do not marry a feminist.

  • @gulskjegg "Men also have nearly limitless options with women in other nations." Yeah. You tell 'em. You don't need women that's why you are obsessed with feminism and spend all your time reading feminist books, watching feminist videos and complaining about western culture and.... posting supposed feminist quotes.

  • "Females require men far more than men require femailes". Interesting claim, can you back it up?

  • @jameskalla When a man gets up from the bar to use the bathroom, does he bring ALL his friends with him? Females are social creatures, and are more apt to define themselves through social means. Men on the other hand define themselves by what they accomplish, mostly at the individual level. The term "lone wolf" is usually attributable to the male of the species. Men can function perfectly well in solitude for extended periods of time. Females have more of a need for social interaction.

  • is this a cult?

  • Reading the comments you'd think she'd advocated sending men to labor camps. The right has done a very good job of vilifying feminism. They've not done so well against race-based civil rights movements though. I wonder why that is?

  • Great speech!

  • My god, without a vagina, women are so dreadfully boorish, boring, and obnoxious. No wonder we love prostitutes and porn.

  • thats a big kitchen!!!!

  • I don't like people who hits the dislike button just because they aren't female :(

  • what's your Blog Courtney Martin? I so like the way you talk about feminism

  • Reinventing fascism ( blink blink)

Heres a picture of Adolf Hitler in a party hat. (blink blink)

  • I do not call myself a feminist, I do not call myself a masculist. I call myself a gender equalist. I believe that inequality is a common human problem and must be treated as such.

  • Who were the two guys she was referring too? Did they edit them out? Did it make her seem over anti-male? Feminism is cool and all until the Titanic crashes and they say men and women are equal so who ever gets on the boat first gets to live! Why don't women fight against that right? Are we really equal if everything a feminist proposes is applied? Or is it just a switch in power?

  • osama wasnt the only terrorist feminism has destroyed waaaaayy more family's..

  • The video is broken at 3:40

Great video. Sucks that youtube is filled with a bunch of misogynist racist capitalists.

  • Feminism is the new facism. Its taking over the West, and when the levy breaks and men fight back, the feminists will be sorry. Its not a threat, its a reality.

Feminism and Unions are two things that have run their course.

  • Another book.... Activism absolutely must become more revolutionary if anything is to change.

  • Ho-Hum...wow what a bore...

the biggest problem I have with speeches like this is it assumes a middle aged white male bogeyman hiding in the shadows trying to keep the women down. The reality - hey you women! if you REALLY want to work we men are all ears - pick up a shovel, stethoscope, protractor, steering wheel, whatever and start busting your ass - not just talking about wanting to bust your ass but some mysterious force is preventing you. Quit making excuses and DO - not talk about it

  • Of the many hundreds, even thousands, of TEDTalks videos, this one is probably the most intellectually bankrupt of them all. women like this exhibit a cowardice and stupidity that is a disgrace to humankind. I expect better from you TEDTalks.

  • ...yeah it true, feminists keep the strap on dildo market afloat

  • Is it me, or does this chick look like James May from Top Gear.

  • brilliant to hear from younger women, loved getting an insight into the paradoxes. hate the title though - "reinventing" sounds like there was something wrong with it in the first place! am completely fed up with how successful the media brainwash was, and how blind to it even supposedly intelligent people are. feminism has never been about man-hating & anti-racism has never been about hating whites: humans need to express anger however & big privilege tends to make you self-obsessed!!

  • GREAT! Got lots of Inspiration from it!!!

  • In all honesty, this is one of the most boring uploads from TEDTalks.

  • The word "feminism" doesn't evoke great things in the minds of many people, that's probably why it got voted down a great deal. When forces are on the move in this world and people are training as we type to kill us as part of this global war we are engaged in, things such as "environmental justice" don't seem to matter. That seems harsh because it is, but I'm just saying what I believe the real situation to be. I'm looking for the feminist that can be taken seriously by both men and women.

  • Yawn... "environmental problems, wealth disparity and... Trafficking"? Oh, thats number three, prostitution? How about war, famine, aids and disease, religious oppression etc? Thats feminism in a nutshell. Dislike.

  • @MMAoracle Trafficking is different than prostitution. Educate yourself.

  • @ienjoyoreos Ok, forcing people into being prostitutes. My point still stands as firm as it did. Its not really one of the great challenges this world has to tackle. I think oppression of muslim women, just to mention a feminist issue, is as big of a problem.

Besides, I'm pretty sure I've got a higher education than you. So chill down and humble up.

  • This is fucking stupid! Jesus Christ on one TED vid we have a woman apologizing to fems because she was going to talk about how little boys are being left behind and on this we have a fem talk bullshit and get cheered for her pointless banter. Seriously most people just like to follow the common trend. GTFO FEM!! She has said nothing here that is of use to anyone. Its all been about her own little world and her own little views.

  • i see nobody else have said it so i will lower my self and do it *clears throat*: Courtney Martin what does that have to do with making us an sandwich?

but srsly, can we stop this ted women and have a stage for both men and women, and maybe do some quality control?

  • @astorpolsen LOL, awww. Go get a girlfriend you lonely child.

  • @finnsia do you have to be a lonely male to like sandwiches? i called that sexism!

  • @astorpolsen LOL you are as stupid as you look, I'm sure there's no need for you to vent your frustration of women because you can't get a girlfriend

  • @finnsia you know i'am joking right : ) or are you a little frustrated?

  • @astorpolsen no, it's clear you weren't joking

hence why I was constantly laughing at your stupidy, and even now you try to say you're joking just not to be seen as a douche

  • @finnsia just checked out your profile and it seems a lot of people don't really like you, and i see you are very hostile as well so i guess that's why, and if you can't see that's joking you're are insane, I seems like you really want to fight for this course, but honestly, you just really seems hateful towards men

  • Wow so many teens here venting their frustration of not having a girlfriend so they do their best (yet poorly) to justify why this video is wrong. HA!

  • This was not what I expected. I'm surprised at the amount of dislikes on this video, considering how tame it is. Maybe I'm being hypocritical, but I think some of you jumped the gun when you saw the title...

  • Fuck you, I'm a humanist

  • not what I expected to hear when I first read the title. But still, a wonderful, inspiring speech made by one of the many fantastic women gradually emerging - and proudly so! As part of the 'next generation', I still think there's hope for this overwhelmed world.

  • Ask why you hate.

  • To Courtney Martin: I am part of your generation. THANK YOU for framing the paradoxes we face so succinctly, accuratenly, and poetically. This video was very moving.

  • interesting as in different/original or refreshing

  • real feminism addresses the fact that men are a fundamental part of most women's lives. until men and women are treated as equally as possible the movement of feminism will not be finished. at this point it is the men who are not protected enough, it is the men who are demonized by the media.

i am a feminist but i am also a men's rights activist. part of feminism must address men, and men in turn rely on women. without both we all fall down.

  • @greycloud24 get back in the kitchen woman!

Nah, JK...Just an example of sexism.

  • @greycloud24

Equal ? I have learned women are better at some things and men just cannt do some things at all.

It's diversity that makes the world.

  • @solobackpacking the same is true the other way around as well.

  • @solobackpacking equal.......in terms of rights - not abillities

obviously men can't give birth but in terms of psychology we also dont know

    people are socialized

women as socialized to be weak, be fashionable

and for men be brave rugged and love sports

  • @greycloud24

All we need is human rights and working economy no more no less!

    All this emotional crap!

  • @greycloud24 you don't need to emphasize on male's 'victim-hood' as if to tactfully reverse the role of 'lesser species'.. it's like males who never leave their mother's houses. how many of these become successful people? males are under attack all the time. we are the entrepreneurs, the do-or-die who engage in risky activities in exchange for handsome profit. many of us are eliminated during the process, but that is how we improve. 'protection'.. well spoken from a women's mentality.

  • @spyletu men are over represented in the prison system and in the homeless populations. there is bias against men just like there is bias against women. the problem is that anti-male bias isn't recognized by the common public. we need to stop trying to treat everyone the same and instead admit there are differences between the genders, the genders commonly accepted roles, and we need to move on from there with an emphasis on treating people different but equally.

  • @greycloud24 I once called myself a "feminist" by default thinking created by the mass media, universities, etc. But VISIT MY CHANNEL to see why I oppose Feminism.

  • @greycloud24 Keep in mind, feminists think this entire subject is a negotiation. That somehow, men will be tricked into coming back to the table. I for one encourage feminists and females in general to continue this delusional line of thinking. So you feminists do all the "reinventing" you want, but know we men are long gone, and we are not coming back. Marriage rates will continue to plummet, while foreign bride visas skyrocket. Enjoy your many, many cats! :)

  • @gulskjegg men never left the table. Men read all the feminist blogs, watch all the feminist videos, date all the feminist women etc. On you tube most of the people responding to feminism or talking about it are men. They go so far as to watch women who don't like feminism and convert to Islam to escape it. No one is chasing you. Women are just doing what they want to do. Relax, it's still a free country. If you can find love overseas all the better. I'm sure you could help them too.

  • @Buntzums Uhm...marriage rates are the lowest in the history of Western Civilization, and you claim that men "date all the feminist women"? I encourage you to maintain your monumentally delusional mindset. I am also glad you think no one is chasing me. My wife will be quite amused at that, but since she is from Ukraine, she finds American women pretty comical to begin with.

  • @gulskjegg I'm quite happy with a monumentally delusional mindset. I'm glad you found love. Mine is from China. Ni Hao. Is that your wife in your photo? She's quite the looker. BTW not in America.

  • @Buntzums Well, since the feminism infects all Western Civ, waving a flag is merely quibbling over details. "Statistics Canada reports that the number of marriages per year dropped 18% between 1989 and 1996. If the trend continues, the marriage rate in English Canada will soon match Quebec's, where only one person in three is expected to marry.". Stay the course. Cling to your fantasies. Project your delusions. You are only fooling yourself. Not that I am complaining, mind you...just laughing.

  • @gulskjegg so what if marriage rates drop? what does that have to do with feminists and why is that a feminist concern? People doing what makes them happy (within legality) is better for everyone.

  • @Buntzums Hey, I'm with you dude. I have no problem with falling marriage rates. For me, feminism is a good thing. Because feminism allowed me to have sex with young girls when I was in high school without the need for marriage. Also, feminism allowed me to have a good variety of girls all through my military career, again with no need for marriage. I grew bored with feminists in my mid 30's, so I went overseas and got a spectacular wife 10 years younger than me. All legal, as you say.

  • @gulskjegg seems reasonable to me. I never said it wasn't. Good for you. The fact that you hate western civilization despite it's obviously enriching you, according to your post does not explain the fact you spend time reading feminist literature when even most feminists don't. As I already said feminists are not chasing you. They are doing what they want to do. If you have a problem with that - meh.

  • @Buntzums No hate for Western Civ here, LOL! There are those that do hate, though. ""I feel that 'man-hating' is an honorable and viable political act, that the oppressed have a right to class-hatred against the class that is oppressing them." -- Robin Morgan, Ms. Magazine Editor.

  • @gulskjegg You wrote "Well, since the feminism infects all Western Civ, waving a flag is merely quibbling over details." Sure does sound like you are ready to go live in a lighthouse or join the foreign legion. So men who hate women are sexist and women who hate men are unpatriotic?

  • @Buntzums Out of context responses may be seen as grasping at straws. Keep trying though. "All men are rapists and that's all they are." -- Marilyn French, Author; (later, advisor to Al Gore's Presidential Campaign.)

  • @gulskjegg well that's your quote then. Obviously not all men are rapists. Thank you for looking up every obscure person with an English degree. I will not be joining you in this as I am more of a technically minded woman but keep up the good work for the MRM. You are keeping feminist writers employed as people look all that old stuff up.

  • @Buntzums Al Gore and Marilyn French are "obscure"? Nice. Please tell us more.

  • @gulskjegg I can't you're the one who read the book. I did look it up on Wiki and it says one of her characters said it rather than her. It is of no significance to me.

  • @Buntzums "Men who are unjustly accused of rape can sometimes gain from the experience." -- Catherine Comin, Vassar College. Assistant Dean of Students.
