After watching the video and reading the comments (responding to many of them), I still do not understand why this video is getting so much hate. Women's rights are still an issue today and if some closed-minded assholes don't realize that, then they really need to start watching the news more often. Feminists do not blame men for the issue, they blame the people that are just too scared to make a change. I liked the video, found it very interesting, and gave it a thumbs up.

The reason a tedmen does not exist is because there are few "men's issues/problems" that exist. @zkriski men's rights advocacy is a sub-branch of liberal feminism. feminism is about the equality of males and females. right now there isn't equality. over 80% of the homeless are men, and over 85% of prisoners are men. there is obviously a problem with the way we treat men as compared to women. women are safer at work even if they are payed less. being a feminist is being an equalist. right now i see men being treated very poorly.

Reading the comments you'd think she'd advocated sending men to labor camps. The right has done a very good job of vilifying feminism. They've not done so well against race-based civil rights movements though. I wonder why that is?

real feminism addresses the fact that men are a fundamental part of most women's lives. until men and women are treated as equally as possible the movement of feminism will not be finished. at this point it is the men who are not protected enough, it is the men who are demonized by the media.
i am a feminist but i am also a men's rights activist. part of feminism must address men, and men in turn rely on women. without both we all fall down.

@spyletu men are over represented in the prison system and in the homeless populations. there is bias against men just like there is bias against women. the problem is that anti-male bias isn't recognized by the common public. we need to stop trying to treat everyone the same and instead admit there are differences between the genders, the genders commonly accepted roles, and we need to move on from there with an emphasis on treating people different but equally.

@Buntzums Hey, I'm with you dude. I have no problem with falling marriage rates. For me, feminism is a good thing. Because feminism allowed me to have sex with young girls when I was in high school without the need for marriage. Also, feminism allowed me to have a good variety of girls all through my military career, again with no need for marriage. I grew bored with feminists in my mid 30's, so I went overseas and got a spectacular wife 10 years younger than me. All legal, as you say.

After watching the video and reading the comments (responding to many of them), I still do not understand why this video is getting so much hate. Women's rights are still an issue today and if some closed-minded assholes don't realize that, then they really need to start watching the news more often. The reason a tedmen does not exist is because there are few "men's issues/problems" that exist. The Women's Suffrage Movement was NOT "feminist". Those women were 1) Anti-Abortion 2) Pro-Family and 3) Conservative. The "Second Wave" feminists just hijacked that history.

Jesus Christ on one TED vid we have a woman apologizing to fems because she was going to talk about how little boys are being left behind and on this we have a fem talk bullshit and get cheered for her pointless banter. real feminism addresses the fact that men are a fundamental part of most women's lives. until men and women are treated as equally as possible the movement of feminism will not be finished. at this point it is the men who are not protected enough, it is the men who are demonized by the media.
i am a feminist but i am also a men's rights activist. part of feminism must address men, and men in turn rely on women. without both we all fall down.

@greycloud24 you don't need to emphasize on male's 'victim-hood' as if to tactfully reverse the role of 'lesser species'.. it's like males who never leave their mother's houses. how many of these become successful people? males are under attack all the time. we are the entrepreneurs, the do-or-die who engage in risky activities in exchange for handsome profit. many of us are eliminated during the process, but that is how we improve. 'protection'.. well spoken from a women's mentality.

@spyletu men are over represented in the prison system and in the homeless populations. there is bias against men just like there is bias against women. the problem is that anti-male bias isn't recognized by the common public. we need to stop trying to treat everyone the same and instead admit there are differences between the genders, the genders commonly accepted roles, and we need to move on from there with an emphasis on treating people different but equally.

I for one encourage feminists and females in general to continue this delusional line of thinking. So you feminists do all the "reinventing" you want, but know we men are long gone, and we are not coming back. Marriage rates will continue to plummet, while foreign bride visas skyrocket. Men read all the feminist blogs, watch all the feminist videos, date all the feminist women etc. On you tube most of the people responding to feminism or talking about it are men. They go so far as to watch women who don't like feminism and convert to Islam to escape it. No one is chasing you. Women are just doing what they want to do. Relax, it's still a free country. If you can find love overseas all the better. I'm sure you could help them too.

@Buntzums Hey, I'm with you dude. I have no problem with falling marriage rates. For me, feminism is a good thing. Because feminism allowed me to have sex with young girls when I was in high school without the need for marriage. Also, feminism allowed me to have a good variety of girls all through my military career, again with no need for marriage. I grew bored with feminists in my mid 30's, so I went overseas and got a spectacular wife 10 years younger than me. All legal, as you say.
