I spotted him 50% of the time; but, that's because I was looking for him in the picture. Real world - not likely. You're not expecting it; unless you're guarding a logistics base or something. Most log bases have the foilage bulldozed out of the way. That's why they developed Predator Drones - to IR detect. In Afghanistan, insurgents are using soldier and police uniforms - not ghillie suits. To hide from a deer, I can see this working.

Wow the first couple of clips in each location I could not see you. You really blended in very well! As time went on I guess I got trained to look for the suit and I was probably correctly spotting you maybe 75% of the time before the reveal. But I guess it's different if you are expecting someone in a ghillie suit to pop out, plus the camera only focused on one small area.
This is more of a 3d camo outfit. Go to mossy oak for one of those. it works great, i have one, but i am also working on my GHILLIE SUIT, I consider them 2 diff things. but the mossy oak one is great because its not hot and lightweight- best for airsoft

great review ... the biggest con i would say with this style is that you cant really attach natural camo .... which is actually the point of a true ghillie ... and burlap and jute are just a base.... these are nice and light though which cannot be said about a good true ghillie .... this really is more of a bush rag than an actual ghillie.... great vid .... keep up the good work .... our country wouldnt be if it werent for equipment ie the rifle .... thanx

So i enjoy most of your videos nutnfancy but this one is horrible, or i could just be the suit. These suits did a horrible job of making you camouflaged. In every one of your examples the only time i didn't see you was when you were behind something or on the edge of a hill and even then if i was given a little more time, say 10-15 more seconds i would have spotted you. With the money you spend on this suit you can make one yourself that will look 10 time better and be more effective.
These suits are not worth whatever price cabelas is asking. For the trained eye, they are extremely easy to pick out vice making your own using natural vegetation. Iv'e made well over 20 suits over the years for friends,family, etc. I also spent about 1/3rd of my time in the USMC crawling around in the tree line,so i have a pretty good idea of what i'm talking about. I have many sniper buddies and they would laugh till they cried if they caught me in this.......just saying.
@BlackFox416 Easy. look up the ''how to make a ghillie suit" video series on youtube. I got burlap at walmart (hunting section) for $10 for like a 10x10 sheet. Any netting thats strong and big enough to fit your finger between, it will work fine. Use 12 lb fishing line for sewing on the netting (any larger and it won't thread through the needle). ONLY put netting on the back. After you sew it on, (and dab shoe goo on the knots for reinforcemt, not a necessity) cut the burlap into strips and tie

Interesting--like others, I spotted the suit rather easily. For a cover-all though, I think it serves its purpose. I could understand wanting and having it--desert use as you mentioned I definitely understand. Non-double sided is a drag.
When I visited Cabela's online catalog and saw the $170 price tag, I was put off. My first Ghillie suit I made during my uneducated days totaled out at around $100, but was specially adapted for my environment. All it is, is time, quality and price. Good video!

it seems easy to find him, but only because you knew what you were looking for, ie the lighter color of the ghillie suit. if you were just walking by or casually looking around, you would have no clue there was a person there. thats what we want.
its ok for hunting but the only time i couldnt see you was when you were behind something so no better than normal camo. a ghillie is a personal thing and i find its better to make your own. the other thing is there is no where for nateral foliage so you never will blend properly. good review though.

Hell of a Ghillie! works better in some environments better than others..I PERSONALLY prefer a home made custom ghillie i.e. using the fish net and burlap attached to ACU's or BDU's just for the personalization of it. Now this takes time and my first ghillie took around 18 hours to make and works great!! I agree with the burlap shedding and weight..i have seen nylon Ghillie that is basically the burlap layout at a local outdoor store..Love this vid so glad you did a Ghillie!!
I dont like this suit the best that I have found is the mossy oak diffusion ghille sute it has nylon printed on both sides and cut in a leaf shape and comes in obsession that is multy enviroment. You should check it out,it b

@xBoBaReNox im not saying your wrong but cabelas make these suits for hunting and they work great i have 1 for here in australia and it has helped alot mainly with whistling foxes they come in to about 15 meters away

Florida/A+, Kentucky/C-C-, CA/C (note: to much hiding behind stuff to make a good review, Idaho/B. Thanks for the review. Just a note: that the best suit is the ones you make yourself in the terrain you normally in. Very, very tough to acquire an all-around gillie suit.

Interesting--like others, I spotted the suit rather easily. For a cover-all though, I think it serves its purpose. I could understand wanting and having it--desert use as you mentioned I definitely understand. Non-double sided is a drag.
When I visited Cabela's online catalog and saw the $170 price tag, I was put off. My first Ghillie suit I made during my uneducated days totaled out at around $100, but was specially adapted for my environment. All it is, is time, quality and price. Good video!

sucks for all the states you suck you have to be as low or lower than surrounding vegitation with a paint job you have to do a green or OD tigerstripe on the left alternating dierection right on the bush suit not ghille

it seems easy to find him, but only because you knew what you were looking for, ie the lighter color of the ghillie suit. if you were just walking by or casually looking around, you would have no clue there was a person there. thats what we want.

its ok for hunting but the only time i couldnt see you was when you were behind something so no better than normal camo. a ghillie is a personal thing and i find its better to make your own. the other thing is there is no where for nateral foliage so you never will blend properly. good review though.

Hell of a Ghillie! works better in some environments better than others..I PERSONALLY prefer a home made custom ghillie i.e. using the fish net and burlap attached to ACU's or BDU's just for the personalization of it. Now this takes time and my first ghillie took around 18 hours to make and works great!! I agree with the burlap shedding and weight..i have seen nylon Ghillie that is basically the burlap layout at a local outdoor store..Love this vid so glad you did a Ghillie!!
