I had the Varroom car and I thought is was super fantastic. I have always remembered it. I still think about it. Especially the particular features of it.
Wow, I finally found it. The VARROOM car. I had one of these in 1963 when I was 6. I pulled it with a string and I thought that sound was something. It's the memory of very good times when I had this car. It does seem like it was well made like things were back then. What a great memory. Thanks for showing. It's in Great shape.
Fantastic attic find! Your dad must have loved these, because they are fantastic shape. First, the truck: Buddy-L around 1963, There were different models with different features (boat trailer, car trailer, horse trailer, camper top, etc.) The paint on this one is near perfect! I had one. The Vrroom racer: most are scarred and worn from excess play. Saw one at my local toy mall for $55 last week, and the truck for $280 in the same condition. Keep them as reminders of your father's past. : )
Ah, thnks for the info! I have some other retro reviews of some old vehicles like these coming up, so keep an eye out for those. ;D Oh, and my father is still alive, he's only 50.
@RoyalKnight1335 Okay, you're dad is only 2 years older than me then. I should have guessed since I had the same toys. By the way, the reason the truck only has one mirror is that the real trucks came that way. A passenger side mirror was an option! How times have changed. Can't wait to see the other vehicles you have. This really brings back memories. Also, check out 'Vrroom Guide Whip Racer TV Commercial" on YouTube. "You can tell it's Mattel, It's Swell!"
