He is a brainless moron because he denies the "God-given" right of mankind to even attempt to understand the universe around us with our mind. You "christians" are fools because you first posit the existance of a God who can never be seen felt identified or in any way confirmed, exept in the pronouncements of self-appointed "holy" evangelists who take your money. Then you deny us the ability to even study our universe with tools that our minds create, a universe we can touch and see. Imbecile.
No, I don't think that he was kidding. (And "idiot" is what your mom called you last night when you came before she did.) I went to his channel and the entire thing is bible quotes and such. I've heard these religious people my entire life shit on NASA and on science and on man's need to understand the universe through logic and reason as opposed to witchhunting and worship of an idol which does not exist.
Well, that's great. Just as long as you and your Doomsday Cult ("christianity") don't burn the rest of us on crucifixes for wishing to explore the universe in our regular, un-glorified bodies...
The day of the scientifically ignorant Christian is coming to an end. Though we still have different beliefs on Origin. We have are theories, you guys have yours.
You clumping all Christians as having the same Ideologies, doctrines, and Convictions. Is like me clumping all you Ashiest with the like of Marxism, Communism, Fascist, and the likes of the Columbine shooters in which "all" have Strong ties to atheistic Ideology? Or am I wrong about that?
Your use of the debating tactic of "Reduction to absurdity" is well-founded and I appreciate it, using it all the time myself, in debate AND in my own art. Well done.
I can only quote Ben Franklin: "Jesus taught the greatest, most etical moral system that has ever been known to Man, or is ever likely to be known to Man. However, I doubt his Divinity." I, too, grew up in church and agree with everything Jesus said. But so many times I turned the cheek for "christians" so I can't join that club.
I respect that, I believe that his Identity shall soon be revealed. Man has created this world upon the foundations of it own Ideas and will crumble on its own weight. It's not the Christians responsibility to force people to see it their way, even we can not imagine an eternity of Ideas God has in store for us or how it will all end, that is why there are so many debates on the bible and the doctrines in it. I have strong beliefs and some crazy one I don't talk much about
You know, personally, I'd bet that, as far as ideas go, it's the "crazy ones" that your god would really WANT you to "talk about much." You think Moses, Elijah, Jesus, and the other prophets played it safe and only discussed the mundane things that they thought weren't likely to get them locked up?
I am a Christian , i believe in God, and Jesus, but i am completely for the spending of public and private funds on space exploration, we need to get off the rock we screwed up.
Its our generation that's fucking it environmentally. We aren't going anywhere. We will continue to persist in a doom world we have created. If we go anywhere else without solutions here, same shit happens all over again. As long as there is man, there will be problems.
Some objects in the distant ring of icy bodies called the Kuiper Belt are too small to observe by the sunlight they reflect. So astronomers are looking for their shadows. They monitor thousands of stars simultaneously in the hopes that one will be dimmed by the passing of an intervening small Kuiper Belt Object. The KBO transit event would last less than a second, and as this animation shows, any detection would be dependent on the star, KBO, and telescopes being perfectly aligned.
what a complete waste of time and money, just like the mars missions, the government spend all this time and money to encourage scientists to look for life elsewhere (i.e little tiny bugs/bacteria) when they have been in contact with intelligent extra-terrestrials for a very long time, shame they dont let those poor scientists know about it really, lol. We will all know very soon though!
What leads you to believe that we will all know 'very soon'? Oh no, You must be one of Them. Perhaps the money would have been put to use best in providing you with an education, or some counseling. Imbecile.
im studying for a degree you fucking deranged ponce! My belief leads me to to think we will know soon, am i not entitled to that at least. Instead of disrespecting ones beliefs as this world does so good and leads to wars, why not accept that fact people have their own beliefs you idiotic pillock!
people can have their own beliefs, i dont care, thats what makes us human, and different, but the same.
its just funny seeing you media raised un-educated non thinkers going after the sensationalism of a select few members of congress's worries.... things are in place to make sure we dont screw up... god gave us free will.
ok.....i could see how this could work if u were able to detect this out in space, but the animation is just laughable...but i know its made for a lemans approach, but keep workn on it
the probability of that must be 1 to a million, but it could help with fewer narration instead of us reading the description, considering newscientist is one of the most popular channel and considering ther's a lot of babbling youtubers
This isn't all that "new". Maybe new in terms of a few years, but it's been talked about for a while now. It was mostly used for spotting extrasolar planets by watching for the wobble of stars rather than the dimming of them. So I guess this is sort of new? Meh, they've had better is all I'm saying.
Audio would definitely help this video - but for those who care it's "showing" the new technique astronomers are using to find asteroids, when an asteroid crosses the path of a star for a fraction of a second, by watching for that shadow at different points on earth, they can calculate the location of the asteroid.
what is it?

Free will causes conflict. As long as there is man, there is war, and war never changes.
Free will is what made us the violent creatures we are
