  • Razer sun your gay this was so sad this is what im gonna do when im older well when im there age and this os my life goal

  • fake and gay

  • @Razersun how in the world is this fake? animals are so much smarter than you think, I have no doubt what so ever that this is real, and if you were a pet owner of any kind you would understand that.

  • @1892mimi

Your comment seems fake. And gay.

  • @Razersun wowwww did you think of that one al by yourself? how old are you 4?

  • @1892mimi

How old are you, 3? You take it in the ass?

  • its rare to see people who care so much about a living thing-- RARE if with an animal that is capable of eating u.. im one of the person who wept like a baby also :)

  • they are a gay couple thats why the lion was so loving! becuz gay are ful of loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • These guy's set a beautiful example...... Wish more people would think this way.........

    Keep it up people

  • I hope the lion is still alive and looking for u guys all through the world!

  • @Beanpup9 Lions in the wild usually live 5 to ten years.Remember he was born in 1970 so C would be in his 40's now, no way. Many lions die from fights, guns and disease.

  • WATCH LIFE UNEXPECTED MONDAYS @ 9/8c ON THE CW!

  • that video is amazing! i wish that could happen to me with my rat!! JK JK

  • i can't believe, she doesn't know how long a lion lives. She's so ignorant, she should do her homework and be prepared.............

  • I think most of us don't know how long a lion usually lives in the wild unless we read a book or reserach the topic.Yes,I watch Animal Planet but not everyone does.

  • i hear that when you reach a certain age you can go to africa and raise a panther. without gettin paid ofcourse on your own will. im plannin on doing that it seems like a great experience

  • @antonii07 well.. 9 years or 90 years old, panther's are not your property. they dont need to be raised, they need to be left alone!.

  • where can buy 'Christian the Lion' in hk

  • you can't buy that in hk. hong kong? lol

  • how long did Christian stay with them at home?

  • I think around a over a year.

  • 1 year~

  • omg this makes me cry how cute and touching.... so sweet....

  • Old G A never went looking for Christian once Ace and John left for the last time.

  • It was due to the hard work of Ace and John and ESPECIALLY George Adamson that this lion's life started in a cramped cage, turned into a beloved pet and then lived out his days as a lion should...God bless those 3 men for their compassion and respect for animals...40 years later gentlemen, and you are my heroes...George Adamson, RIP.

  • Im going to remember this forever,I think Christian was a very very special lion, and its sad to think it was a long time ago and George Adamson is no longer alive, and all these neat people are older now and some no longer living. I wish Christian was buried next to boy and George at least we would know where he was...love you Christian

  • Ihope you are right Lacey, by the way was it protected? its just strange he was never seen again? argh its just so sad.

  • Yes it was a protected sanctuary..and had great ppl look over him.. He lived a long and wonderful life and most important got to live like a REAL lion should.

  • @LaceyBlue1 We don't know if he had a wonderful long life.Geo A never saw Christian again. He also never heard of any big lion being killed before himself was killed by bandits.

  • I wish they did put him in a sanctuary. I cant stop crying over this I sometimes wish I never saw it. I hope christian didnt die sad, he should never have been put back in the wild he was too tame and to human like if that makes sense

  • Christian lived a BETTER life in my opinion BECAUSE he was allowed to live a "free" life as a lion.( in a protective area) I assure you he didnt die sad.

  • How can you know that though? Do you Like have Edward cullen powers Or something, Cause, Otherwise you would have no fact bout that.

  • as a matter of fact...I do have Edward Cullen powers.

  • You glow like if you had been thrown in a pixie dust pool?

  • hehehe nice one...

  • @klsmithy2

animals do generally have harder times getting readjusted to the wild but Christian adapted surprisingly well and became the head of a friggin pride. There's your proof that he lived a better life-had a family and everything :)

  • @LaceyBlue1 I agree with you completely. This is one of the most inspiring documents I have ever seen / heard. I hope many others will give this some thought and consider how we treat the non-humans who share our earth.

So happy today that Catalonia has banned bull-fighting, at least a beginning!

  • @taliasalia My sister who also loves animals and particularly felines thinks that they did Christian a disfavor by putting him into a "semi-wild" preserve after having been so accustomed to humans. He could have become a prime target for poachers. But I say no! One hour or one day or one week in freedom was far better than what he, or his parents experienced pacing in tiny cages in various zoos and even Harrods, in his case. He had a wonderful life thanks to John and Ace.

  • i think it's funny how some people think christian is going to attack them because you can tell that it's a playful run not an attack run. Atleast i can. Such a great story.....BIG KITTY!

  • its soo cute story! about two "hippies" from the sixties who took a lion home and had it in their flat and drove around with it in their car! <3 love it!

  • I'd train it extract revenge on all those who have crossed me in the past!!!

  • How about bringing them peace and showing them the real, good path of life instead of poisoning yourself with vengeance?

  • ...nah.

  • I bought the book last night. Its been updated some since the first edition came out in 1971.I am sure the lion didn't live ten years like Ace had hoped since the area was rife with poachers and distemper.Too bad the lion wasn't put in some wildlife sanctuary in the UK or US and live a long happy life.Half the posts here aren't even about Christian, its other crap.Funds are being raised to try to bring Kora Park back as it went downhill after Geo A was killed.

  • I was thinking the same thing, he would have had an easier and longer life in some kind of sanctuary. If he thought humans are all friendly and came across poachers it would have been game over for him. Other lion prides probably could have sensed he was different from them and attacked him. Hope he had a long life anyway.

  • I am Nancy and I have watched this video many times because I am desperate for 'hope'. I have not seen my son since September 2005 due to childabuse 4 profit in Cuyahoga County, Ohio Juvenile courts and my son is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to many as long as he remains with his abusers. Christian / lion video gives me 'hope' that my son Jordan will have the same memory of our life together as the lion cub when I save Jordan.

  • what was the website's name where you can get remind of George Adamson??'

Everyone who's thinking this is such a beutiful story, search for George Adamson if you havnt do it yet, he's the hero.. love that guy. shame he got murdered

  • Not commenting on the story itself, I must say that this is the most poorly put together news segment I've ever seen. They had a camera trained on a fucking computer screen, for crying out loud, and as they replayed the footage they neglected to turn the sound off so that I couldn't even hear what the guys were saying, Fail Today Show

  • No, the youtube video of this actually has that Whitney Houston song playing and you can't hear the guys talking. it would be better without the music but that's the way the original video is.

  • What a horrible comment for this venue. If you actually had a constructive comment why not offer to do the adjustment. Your hostility is so bitter and probably hurting you. Its clear that your anger has stopped you from feeling something wonderful.

In all honesty, I'm conserned that you get some good advice and may be meds. to help you think with consideration for those around you. There are opportunities to have good impact and you are deserving of them.

  • LMAO @ joopapoopa

  • coleusername, what a sad jerk you are. Most everyone knows that people who care about other's sexual orientation, and who spew hatred against gays, are merely afraid of their own sexual orientation. The irony is that most people don't care about it. Get over it. Live and let live. That you can't see the beauty of this story, and focus on the orientation of these 2 men, speaks volumes about you and your fears and small world. Get a life man.

  • It is obvious your lack of intelligence is why you had just posted this rather ignorant and useless comment. Why don't you read down before you post another stupid comment that just makes you look like more of a dumbass, and see the ignorant douche bag who my comment was directed to.

    thanks,

    go fuck yourself.

  • omg im crying here this story is soooooooooo touching i just still cant beleve that a lion could be that way

  • Comment removed

  • I must have seen all the videos of christian's almost as many as 1000 times.and each time i see him i cry..Hats off to these 2 men who did such a great job..

  • this is proof homosexuals can raise a decent family!

  • Yeah unfortunately your fathers raised you. Shut the fuck up fag, go fuck your two dads.

  • such love between different animals is always so special

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for recording and posting this...

We are all animals... though Humans are animals

  • Animals are so much smarter then humans derangedranger1

  • dam i don't trust on lions...

  • are you kidding me? they stood there when the wife came along??? Wives are the ones who take down buffalos.

If lions can communicate with each other Im sure he was telling his wife "see? see? i told you I wasnt crazy. I really do know some english crackers and they like me. alot. maybe now you'll believe my story about the ball. It was a round thing. It rolled."

  • "oh yah. go get me and my friends some dinner"

  • Lol, nice one mate that was fuckin funny :) same kinda sence of humour as myself!

  • Yeh the lion was probably saying that. But when the wife came along she didn't attack them because she saw her "husband" being nice to them so she knew that they wern't food or danger.

  • I had seen this some time ago. Thanks for the update!! 5 stars *****

  • aww this is the cutesttt!!!!!!!!

  • That was Amazing I Cryed And im 13 Ho sad lol It Makes me So Happy :)

  • are they lovers?

  • no, they both had girlfriends when they owned the lion. they have wives now i think.

  • This shows that people need to give animals more credit. They are living beings that have emotions and intelligence. The world is not all about humans and people need to stop believing they are somehow superior--that's arrogance. Try watching videos of elephants mourning their dead next.

  • I couldn't agree more. Animals amaze us every day with their antics, intelligence and how they interact with us. From the bird that saved it's family by screaming and flying through their bedrooms to wake them, to the dog that got it's family to safety but got trapped inside and was found in a bathtub with it's snout to the drain (a tip from a fireman's handbook) for air...they constantly push that bar that humans set saying "It's just an animal."

  • While I understand your sentiment, I still think the language you use reveals a humanocentric stance. First, it suggests its ok to own animals (I'm not so sure); Second, it acknowledges their intelligence only when it is in some service to humans.

I like to see them as some how equal in status, including wild animals, and deserving consideration. For that matter, plants should be considered as well. Why should we priviledge humans over these other life forms?

  • We shouldn't. Humans and their so called intelligence makes them feel superior in this world. Perhaps they are, or perhaps it is just their arrogance. Every life, animal, plant or otherwise should be respected and withheld in the thought that there is more to them than what we give them credit for. Owning animals...not so much. I do believe that animals come into our lives and choose to be with us. We have the illution that we own them....

  • ...however, ask any person that homes an animal and they will tell you otherwise. It is the animal that owns us, we just care for its needs and in return they give us their love and trust. At least as far as the people who treat their animals correctly and not those who see them as "things" to abuse and neglect. I am owned by three cats and a parrot. All of them chose me to home them, and every day that I care for them they bless me.

  • Same with my pony. And I used to have a dog who loved me I was devesated when she was put down and I still cry about her now she has found a special place in my heart and she was and still is the best dog in the world.

  • loved it !!!!!!

  • Please if you can go to your humane society, and adopt a pet only if its for life and not if you are not responsible,my cat loves me like this every day,I get more love from my animals than most people.I am still crying over this video thanks christion.

  • i love this video so.. much!!

  • i wish i could feel the half of this love :)

  • very very heartwarming story..

  • i think Christin was last seen in 1974 and then never again. thus, he's probably dead. but he lived a happy life, so it's all good :)

  • No, I dont believe he is alive... Was so long ago.

  • is christian still alive to these days?

  • /watch?v=Ad7hs7ZxSME&feature=channel_page

  • i love animals, thes video brings tears to my eye, everytime i watch it,it is so magnificant how christian remembered them after a year, but no matter what CHRISTIANS LEGACY WILL LIVE ON FOREVER

  • Isn't it seriously funny? That as humans we can learn a thing or two about civility from animals of the deep jungles.

  • truely amazing story, and why cant it be like this all the time insteed ov killing them for the fer and ponitless other item we dont need, the title it right, love knows no limits..

  • Truly a fascinating story about a wild beast befriending humans. It's so heartwarming that Christian still remembered them after awhile of being separated from them. And when Christian introduced them to his wife and cubs, wow! brings more tears to my eyes. And Christian is a great father too and a wonderful husband. Love him to the bone. A great story, brings tears to my eyes. I will remember Christian and John and Ace forever and ever. Amazing!!!!

  • I simply loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee animals. this story is amazing. i cry everytime i watch this video. Love it!!!! check out my litle lions too if you want.:)

  • i love the story with the song is prefect..i cried many times watching this video. i don't like animals, but after see this sweet lion i love it.

  • They like the segfried and roy of lions. Only straight... I think they're straight. lol

  • If you want to watch a greyhound that washes his face when I ask him to, don't miss my video.

It has been really hard to teach, but the result is so funny !!!

I hope you will enjoy it. Thank's

  • fuckin whitney houston... where's my kleenex... *sigh*

  • wow..!!it has touched me and i think you are both amazing people!! God bless you and here's a BIG ROAR to both of you...ehehe hugs!!

  • you are a man or woman incapable of emotion! I've seen humans living a life without eny emotion ans I've seen animals capable of grief, compassion, rage. Those are emotions. If you an raise an animal and observe very closely its behavior you would notice they have emotions like we have and other kind that we don't have

  • ok, sure, i take it back, he does feel emotion if that makes you feel better. And for the record, since you do not know me, you cannot actually say that I am incapable of feeling emotion just because you disagree with a flippant comment on Youtube!

  • There you go!, You can feel emotions, I can see it since you replied my message, just like christian the lion!... great!

  • When lions fight and one gets clawed really hard what hapeens? He roars in pain right? So if he can feel pain why can't he fell love? Anger? we know for a fact they feel that. Animals have emotions. Period.

  • Pain is not an emotion, it is a physical effect caused by nerve endings. But I do think it's great that the lion remembers them after all that time. I am just not sure animals feel emotions they way we project them to.

  • its proven animals have emotions.

im not sure why its so hard to believe.

were animals and WE have emotions, many similar to lions.

  • i'm 19. i didn't cry.

  • shut up and go back to your souljaboy videos

  • yes, because soulja boy is my favourite...whatever he is

    retard

  • im ten and i cried. i love animals and that was so cute

  • I remember watching the Christian video earlier this week. Such a heartwarming story. Its a shame too that they neve saw Christian again after 1974, but I think they were glad to see him happy, healthy, and with his own batch of cubs in his native country.

We need more people like Ace and John as well as George Adamson, the father of the lions. They give and gave a lot to help protect wildlife and show the majestic beauty of animals not as dangerous pedators, but as beautiful creatures.

  • The clip is also right: Love truly does have no limits.

  • I am 10 and even I cryed the first time I saw the one that was feacered in the inter view on youtube!

Was this interveiw done in 2004?

I loved Christions story and it was very sad that he was never seen again after 1974, he could have died :(. Ah well, sure he had a VERY good life! With the help of John and Ace!

Christions story toke place in 1969, so I'm sure sadly he wouldn't be alvive anymore :(.

Rest in peace Christion, I will ALWAYS remember you!

    Bekky

  • The interview was 2 weeks ago.

  • They show make a movie out of this and maybe this movie could bring hope to the many people around the world that live in hate, envy and sorrow. There is light at the end of the tunnel :)

  • I read that wild lions live only 12 to 15 years, so Christian is long gone. Now so many years later millions of people are enjoying Christian, John and Ace's beautiful story.
