As far as I can determine, SOPA is still in congress, tabled till after the holidays. And that speech by Biden in staunch opposition gives me the strong impression that Obama is not in league. I'll be looking into it more, but so far, I just haven't seen evidence that Obama supports this.

What I mean is that they would be a perfect boogie man to chase around and create massive laws against (such as SOPA and PIPA). It's very interesting they became popular around the same time such bills to regulate piracy is introduced. As far as I can determine, SOPA is still in congress, tabled till after the holidays. And that speech by Biden in staunch opposition gives me the strong impression that Obama is not in league. I'll be looking into it more, but so far, I just haven't seen evidence that Obama supports this.
