no offense but that post below seriously John Jowdy if he said that is overated. No one is "un-coachable". Hell, even Fred Borden coached Bob Learn Jr. and his cranker style is way less fluid then Coffmans...
@BrianCRX90 If you did not take the time to read Bowling Execution (john Jowdy's book) please do not comment. John states that he had success in diversifying his game in practice, yet coffman reverted to his normal style during tournament play, and I never said he was un-coachable if you bothered to read my comment I said he was "almost uncoachable"
Actually the sound is playing surprisingly nickny. It's very weird because previously I watched this and no sound, but now it works. What's up with that?
Wow, I've never seen a pro on TV struggle as much as Kelly Coffman did in this match. On another note, what the heck was Hoskins thinking throwing a strike ball at the 10-pin around 5:57? It hit the 1-3 pocket, but no pins were there!
Yes, Coffman did struggle on TV. I remember John Jowdy saying in his book that Coffman was almost "un-coachable". I think Hoskins was using a Critical Mass, I know he was a Track staffer on this telecast.
One of the most-struggling shows I've seen was Bob Vespi's first TV appearance from 1991 or 2. Chris Warren shot 160, Bob shot 133, and the winner won with a 150 or 170.
Coffman should have won at least one title. A couple times in championship matches he got flat-out hosed by bad carry and unlucky breaks.
Love watching old school Coffman strike ball crushing the rack. click 0.46 Nice...

Sorry about that. I posted this vid about 3 times and no sound. I don't know why part 1 works fine and this has no sound.
