Karate & all other fighting sports/ martial arts that incorporate ''fancy'' kicks will fail against muay thai/ kickbox (especially the dutch ''variant''). Fancy kicks 9/10 times needs distance between the fighters, and a good kickboxer will put so much pressure on a ''fancy kicker'' he wouldn't be able to get through the first round as you see in most cases.

@cavello89 They incorporate fancy kicks in forms and techniques. In actual fighting or sparring if the place is intelligent they encourage more realistic moves. There are effective kicks outside of what muy thai teaches. Speaking from experience. I can do the fancy jumping and spinning kicks but won't ever do them in the cage. Maybe I'll get a chance and land it flawlessly like Pettis but I doubt it. More likely I'll have my solid kicks and punches and not throw a jumping switch kick.

only Jet Li nuthuggers would think boxing isnt effective. People die in boxing fights all the time its rly one of the toughest martial arts of all. This is obviously some sort of propaganda clip used as "proof" that taekwondo is a more lethal style than muay thai. everybody who knows anything about martial arts knows that a pure taekwondo practitioner would get his ass beat by a muay thai champ.

if martial arts isnt superior how come ive never seen amove in boxing that can paralyze a man for the rest of his life, or kill a man with a single blow.
and if anyone brings up tyson the only reason he's famous is cause he has hard hits and he bit and ear off cause he was desperate for a win..whcih he ended up getting disqualified because according to him he was getting headbutted but the ref never saw it.

@hedlundkevin666 Hey kid, most of those "moves" are illegal in the sport of boxing because they CAN kill! Rabbit punches, kidney punches, spinal cord punches. The main reason they use such big gloves is to minimize the potential fatality of head and heart blows. Boxing is not a "kill" sport, but don't ever think a boxer can't kill YOU!

@JTHEJUDGE Actually, the reason boxers started wearing gloves was to protect their hands. Back in the old days with bare knuckle boxing, they threw more body shots than head shots, because the body is a softer target than the skull. But once gloves were brought into the mix, they started throwing more head shots. ironically, it is the gloves that made the sport more dangerous. Lots of pro boxers suffer multiple concussions over the course of their careers.

Those kicks were impressive. I've done some MMA style fighting, and landing those kicks are very difficult.
