I would think in the case of funerals and such, the rights of the family and of the dead should ethnically and legally trump the rights of whiney nonsense and ilk such as Westboro. Whenever a Christian thinks that they can use that to support their hatred toward homosexuality I say look again. God wanted to destroy the city because there were no good people in it. I would think in the case of funerals and such, the rights of the family and of the dead should ethnically and legally trump the rights of whiney nonsense and ilk such as Westboro. Sure, you have the right to free speech, but if it's out of turn there are and should be consequences on a case by case basis. ie, shouting 'fire' in a crowded movie theater, or 'bomb' while on a plane. Whenever a Christian thinks that they can use that to support their hatred toward homosexuality I say look again. God wanted to destroy the city because there were no good people in it. i think the westboro baptis church is a cult and they are completely insane. they protest the funerals of soliders but do they realize that those men died to give them the right to express their ignorance and hate and i find it hard to believe that god hates everybody but them

@jonbei Idk how to exactly answer to that, but to tell you the truth, no sin is bigger then another sin, so to tell you the truth, we all deserve to be put to death and be thrown in Hell cuz were all sinful people, but those who come to repentence can recieve eternal life, i have heard of man and woman who were gay but they were changed by the holy spirit, look it up on youtube theres many interviews that they gave explaining how they turned away from homosexuality and then turned to God.

@brightsidepunk God feels hate and love, but he NEVER feels hate for people, God created human emotion so don't you think he can feel it? But God does LOVE everyone, he just does not love the sin, but the blood of Jesus already washed that away, you just have to except him into your heart, but God still gets sad when he see's people sinning, because he loves us more then you could EVER comprehend!!!

@brightsidepunk also, God is the creator of everything. he created us with emotion because he invented (for want of a better term) it. also God is love so he embodies it (even tho it's not merely an emotion - neither is hate) i think love and hate are the manifestation of a core belief. if i love you (that is a choice) i will do everything to make you happy (the manifestation of that core belief). if i hate you, i will do the opposite. a bit convoluted but does it make sense?? lol :)

@brightsidepunk God allows us to do anything we want. what's the point of creating humans if we can't make a choice? u'd essentially just make an army of obedient robots. why bother? He created humans to be in relationship with him, humans were separated by disobedience (don't eat the apple. whoops i ate it cos some snake told me to) and we can now re-enter a relationship with him because Jesus has taken our sin. Religion = rules, relationship with God = Freedom.
