When we setup our prefs for OS X, what should we put for the activation key? When I downloaded my version of iAtkos 4i, I never got a page telling me what the key was. Anyways, great vids, and I also happen to have the same laptop as you. Do you think replacing the wifi card with one made by Broadcom will get the wifi to work on both vista/osx ? To burn to a dvd u need a program such as img burn. just watch because with kalyway it is annoying to duel boot with vista. i have successfully got kalyway and vista to duel boot. i hope you get it and if you get stuck at any point just ask and ill try to help you.

I had to take out my hard drive and wipe it and change the file format and install vista again due to being stuck on the apple loading screen with an error icon after installation. I think my computer wasn't compatible or either I installed the wrong drives or left out the right drives, really frustrating.

great tutorial. i followed both the v1.0i and the v2.0i tutorials. both loaded succesfully and dual-boot works correctly. i have the same model hp as you (dv6000... more specifically dv6103nr with 3945abg wireless card). you show that your wireless is working correctly. i have tried several times with clean installs following the instructions you gave and even tried installing the iwi3945.dmg wireless patch but have had no success. please help

My Question is :

1. why it doesn't restart automatically after installation progres is finished?? i've been waiting it to reboot manually for 10 minutes, but it didn't work. I have to shut down my laptop manually by pressing the power button for 5 seconds.

2. After turning it on, i can see the boot loader but after a while, it turns to a black screen or blue screen when i typed -v in the boot options.

What should i do?? Please help me.

DON'T SELECT ALL THE BOXES BECAUSE your computer might not be compatible with what u selected plus you're going to get a kernel panic......... just select what u need then keep the DVD inside after it installs and don't touch anything!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING AFTER IT INSTALLS AND REBOOTS it should go to the configuration screen. What is wrong in this version is that the bootloader doesn't work...... so if you have the iatkos v1.0i install that bootloader!! Good Luck.

ok go to system preferences and select display and select your resolution and if it isn't listed there try reeinstalling it without the driver and if it doesn't work try installing the driver.

Hey I installed v2.0i on my custom computer thats running nforce chipset. and after install i take out the dvd when its booting and try to get it to boot but it keeps trying to boot form the cd or something, it says "boot from cd" then it says "nvidia boot agent 246x0540" and then it tries to go and then it says "media test failure check cable" and it does that a bunch of times and then says "disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter"

it's the bootloader in this iatkos some times it doesn't work only this time it worked.. what you can do is download iatkos v1.0i and use that bootloader instead of the other one if you still have it installed just leave it like that and install the bootloader........form v1.0i

Its the bootloader you have installed incorectly or the iatkos v2.0i overwrote the bootloader and modified it........

try first to install the iatkos v2.0i then just install the v1.0i's bootloader REMEMBER THAT THE HD NUMBER IS ALWAYS 1 NOT 0! then everything is normal or maybe your system doesn't support the EFI Emulation....like mine.

Yes i think so, i think you have an intel core 2 duo which has EFI, but mine is a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz, i read a long time that it may not work but some people have made it work on Pentium 4, thnx for your help, soon i will try it on my Laptop, HP Pavilion dv9700TX

Hey for some reason after I finish installing Leopard and I restart my computer, I pull out the disk but it says something along the lines of "Operating system Error" NOT exact quote and then I just have to restart the whole thing over again. I did download the iatkos brokem stones (mininova) and installed on the computer when i reboot leopard don't start and i don't see the options to chosse the partition. it need some image and some special hardware for i install the v2.01 in my dv6675ep? Hi i was wondering if someone could help, in Orteginho tutorial on dual booting vista and leopard he said, at the darwin boot u have 2 put in 1 as ur disk number, but wen i checked it on terminal with the diskutil list command it showed it as disk0, is this normal, i really need help as this is the only thing holding me back from completing this installation.

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 with Core 2 Duo T7200. iATKOS is supposed to work on my machine.

After I install and it finishes it says "Operating System Not Found". I have to do a repair on the MBR inorder to boot back into Windows Vista.

After I install the thing, when i restart the pc, the boot loader screen comes up and i choose leopard, but the screen goes half white and half gray after loading the apple logo. What is the problem? Is it something with the screen or the installation customization? Thanks in advance

According to wut I read on google, there are currently no patches that actually let intel 3945 work. It gets it active or something like that but u can't actually access a wireless network.

ok it's the darwin boot loader if you still have it installed the OS X and haven't erased it you can just install the darwin boot loader from iatkos v1.0i and it will work ..........I had the same problem some times......

there is a iwi3945.pkg or something like that to make your wireless card work.......(THAT'S NOT THE REAL NAME I FORGOT IT BUT IT IS SIMILAR)

hello mate i just finished watching and really enjoy your videos and i was wondering if you could help me, ok heres the problem my computer has nforce 4 sata now i have installed the jas 10.4.8 before if i use and ide hard drive and an ide DVD reader when i popped in my iatkos i get still waiting for root device this is with my sata and then i tried leo4allv3 no dice i got a sam multimedia read or write now i know the problem its the nforce 4 kext isnt there, i have to write another comment.
