  • Proof you don't need graphics to get a great game... *Replays over and over*

  • 1:02 So F***ing EPIC!

  • This opening has such a bad ass song. It's a shame back then they couldn't really give the opening visuals that do the song justice. Hence why I like the remake's opening better even if the song isn't as awesome.

  • Awesome game great music. They don't make games like these anymore. Thanks for the videos.

  • KEEEEEEEEEEEP MAAAAAARCHING OOOOOOOOOON

  • Wow, the opening song is completely different from the psx?saturn versions )

  • And this game is why my daughter's middle name is Xenobia..... Can't wait to explane that to her.

  • man i really loved this game. it was one of the best games, even though i never beat it.

  • I get chills every single time I watch this!

  • This was some seriously impressive shit back in the day... I fired the game up sometimes just to hear this song! lol

It really got you pumped to play the game, that's fer sher. (Though it feels like it fell right out of the 80s)

    *~t3h C.

  • Chrono trigger before there was one.

  • man i wish i played this when it first came out, but i still love to ps1 remake regardless

  • one of the best RPG opening song

  • THIS is lunar, not that goody goody crap from the remakes. Lunar is edgy, has some evil stuff in it, but they lessen than in the remakes. Like how a certain village is kidnapped and used as slaves, good stuff and they took it out.,

  • Cara! um dos melhores jogos que eu já vi!

    Boas lembranças mesmo....

  • Ohhh god the memories. One of my favourite RPG's of all time.

  • I wasted hours on this and got no where

    time well spent

  • That's a perfect comment

  • I swear they had this song in the PS1 version somewhere, or at least in the OST that came with the 4 disc version (collectors version I guess but it doesn't say that on any part of the box so I don't call it that :P, I bought it thinking it was the regular version. $70-80 O_o worth every penny =D).

  • You might have also noticed that the OST that came with COMPLETE had several songs that weren't actually in the PS1 version. I think it was sort of a "best of" thing. I think they should have just released the full OST out here.

  • Music CD, came with the game. track 9

  • Oh my goodness!

I remembered the Sega Saturn version all these years and forgotten that this was the original one! Wow, I actually remembered the song as it was playing too. Let's see, '93 I was 12, now I'm 28! Man, I feel old. Ghaleon was the best though!

  • Yeah, Ghaleon owned! He had the best background music too.

  • Damn right he did. He killed dragons, made your character's parents into slaves, unleashed plagues, brainwashs your underage girlfriend (and makes her wear a thong for his amusement), staffed his army with hot evil chicks who all want him, shot down a floating city for the lolz and kidnapped every decent looking chick in the land and put them all in his Cadillac of evil bases: a giant tank city that had badass backround music (the only way it could be cooler is if it had spinners).

  • @sortedevaras Spinners are for rap fans and rap is welfare music. Go drink a pitcher of Kool-Aid.

  • Ummmm... you mean the Sega CD/Mega CD? The Saturn version was the same as the Playstation, and only in Japanese.

  • @anime271 LOL i know i still have mine in my closet ah the memories ;-)

  • I've never played Lunar but this song is just 90s video game music goodness.

  • yes, definitely good times , i remember playing this and getting chills during some of the cinematic scenes ;)

  • Omg this actually made my hair stand up watching it.... good times man....good times...

  • I still got my copy and I still play it

man this has to be one of the best rpg's ever made

  • I really need to find this copy... Thanks for broadcasting it here.

  • Actually, I have the original 2 Lunar games for the Sega CD. I'm just missing the actual Sega Genesis system and Sega CD add-on. I think I lost it during one of my moves.

  • They're out there. Those things are gold to me. You're lucky to have the oringinal games. I'd probably emulate a SegaCD by making images of the games merely for the lack of a SegaCD. There are a few emulators that play them, I'm just not sure how the change disk functions are used these days since it's been two years since I've dabbled in emulation. I would imagine that it's mainstream now.

  • Its only one disk for both games on sega cd.

  • Wish I could find an MP3 for this song.

  • Um....out of sync much?

But seriously, thanks for posting this. I have so much positive association and great nostalgia from in regards to this game that I almost cried watching it. This was probably the first time I've seen this opening in nearly a decade.

  • Hmm, this isn't synched up right. Good song anyway. Lunar rules.

  • Yeah, I noticed that too. I have the Sega CD version but chose to vid the emulated version. Serves me right ...

  • Isn't there another song thats kinda slow in this game?

  • this game is amazingly beautiful

  • Aw man...takes me back. lol!

  • Oh you gotta love the English version of this song. "...kiss me my love and go, the time for battle has returned again!!" The Japanese version uses the same song but no where as insane as this version. Do you think this is appropriate for an RPG game? Hahaha!!!

  • sure its cheesy being a typical 90's style intro song like all the cartoons were, but still, this was EXCITING.

  • Wow, the mood of this opening is drastically different from the one in the remake. I like it though, it's catchy. ^^
