Anakin Force FX farewell

I like my Anakin FX saber, but it's definitely not my favorite. That honor would have to go either to my Luke Skywalker ROTJ FX or my Obi-Wan FX saber.... probably the latter.

Hasbro now has the license to produce them and you should be able to get them online at most retailers or instore at places like ToysRUs. The blades are not removable but there are sites you can go to where you can convert them to be removable.

Yes they are. They are still made at the same factory where MR made them. Just switched over ownership. The factory still uses the same MR tooling for the sabers.

Yup, thanks to Hasbro buying out the Force FX line from Master Replicas, they went back and released it again under their Signature Line of products. I guess they realized that they should keep the best selling FX on the shelves.

Also, it could mean pressing something into a surface, and leaving sort of an indent. Try pressing your hand into a piece of wet clay for an example.

Good News for all. Hasbro intends on Re-Releasing the ROTS Anakin Force FX (not the ANH Luke) for their first line-up of the sabers. They will be a direct copy of the MR versions.

Force Fx lightsabers like the one you just saw are gonna be all gone in a while. Production has stopped making them ever since November 2007. So get while you can.

No worries though. Hasbro picked up the Force FX line and will continue to produce them from the same factory after a few changes are made such as packaging and stamping.

Actually, the initial run will be the same quality as MR's. They are using the same tooling and materials as what MR had. Same factory, as I stated so the quality won't change on the ones they are re-releasing. Now, I can't say that the entirely new ones that they develop aren't gonna be cruddy, since hasbro is know for making crud and putting a big price tag on it.

Actually, through the course of the years they have. But no worries. With Hasbro taking over the Force FX line, you will continue to see these sabers and possibly some reissues later on.

There are minute differences in the design. The Luke ANH is modeled after a Graflex flashtube. The Anakin is a stylized version of the Graflex flashtube.

That is the Luke EpIV that replaced the Anakin ROTS. MR was able to reuse some of the tooling for the Anakin to make the Luke which is why they look similar. But I can tell you they are completely different sabers.

No those are not heavy they are actually lighter than the very old models of toy lightsabers for kids they are made so they can manuver very well and not so simple like star wars 4.

That was strange. Even if the Anakin Skywalker lightsaber are being discountinued, you still have this as your own and you own only. Plus, I wouldn't say Anakin's is the best lightaber, obi wan is if you like blue lightsaber that are confortable to hold and have more freedom. But this saber lookes as if you polish it everyday, that's good to know that this lightsaber is in the hands of someone who cares about it.

Actually they ARE discontinued by Master Replicas. What I mean by that is that, Master Replicas no longer MAKES them at their production facility in China. They switched the line over to start making the 2007 Luke Skywalker: A New Hope FFX.

Now, they are still buyable on the retail market as I'm sure many businesses have leftover stock, but they will not be getting any new Anakin's from MR. :)

I wouldn't say the Obi Wan or Luke are made of plastic, because they are not. The Obi is actually Very Heavy and made completely of metal. The Luke is made from milled aluminum so it has a very lightweight feel to it. When I worked for Master Replicas at Comic Con, we sold more Anakin's than anything else with Mace and Luke being close behind.

The best out there are the Luke ROTJ,(if you can still find one)Obi Wan ROTS and Darth Maul TPM. The Darth Maul is the most Durable of the Master Replica Force FX sabers.

Master Replicas(MR) has already announced 2 other Force FX(FFX) lightsabers for 2007. Those 2 will be the Darth Vader: A New Hope(ANH)version and a Luke Skywalker: A New Hope(ANH) version. MR has previously released the ANH Vader in 2003 and a similar Luke when they released the Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back version. Both of the NEW ANH versions will be ALL NEW design and tech.

Actually, the Luke ROTJ, Anakin ROTS and Vader TESB have all been discontinued from production to make way for the new Yoda AOTC FFX, and also Vader and Luke ANH FFX's for 2007. You can still find the Luke, Anakin and Vader in some retailer stores, but they are no longer being made by MR.

The most durable "one" is the Darth Maul FFX. The rest have a thinner less "smackable" blade. The others are sturdy but just can't take a beating like the Maul does.
