Caldwells hips are just ridiculous. I used to wrestle with him back in NJ tournaments years ago. Its like no matter what predicament he gets himself into he can just shift his hips and end up on top. Between his crazy hips and flexibility, he's a hard man to take down. Im happy to see metcalf cry like a little girl tho

dude darrion caldwell is such a freakin bch with his injury time and faking back spasms. He's trying to take a break cuz his cardio blows and metcalf would tear him apart if they continued another minute and a half. brent metcalf is a world class wrestler but i don't think he will be able to do good on the world stage. he just relies too much on his strength and endurance. He seems flat footed and against very technical or slippery type wrestlers he will do very poorly.

@DrunkPerson plus the way they have freestyle set up these days. I think they have taken alot of the conditioning aspect out of it. Technical skill wise the U.S. is behind. Those other countires do nothing but olympics style wrestling and they come back year after year. We need our medalists to keep coming back for more.

this is college wrestling. anyone can beat anyone any given day. Caldwell is one of the best wrestlers in NC State History, so I dont think its a huge upset.

well metcalf was the champ the year before with only one loss. and if you were listening, metcalf teched caldwell in an unofficial match in a tourney. so yeah id say it's an upset. metcalf choked like crazy

but I realized that Metcalf didnt act like a dick the whole match. U must remember that there was time left on the clock, metcalf is a brawler and didnt stop wrestling til the whistle blew. I think it was an act due to the heat of battle. I no longer think he's a dick for it

haha, BS, how is this the best ever? Metcalf vs. D. Schlatter in college and High skool are much better matches, plus Mark Perry beating Hendricks was pretty good too.

Plus Caldwell seemed to be stalling also, yeah he took sum good shots and scored and he took sum more "Shots" to get the ref off his back, but he is a really long 149lb anyhow, all he did to win was counter mostly and he took "injury"" time also....
