That's true, but she's not exactly more advanced. If anything, she's less advanced. There is a backstory to her, as she is not part of the Stargate universe (she just bears a strong resemblance to the Daedalus. She actually is no longer using rail guns. As of now, she uses conventional large-caliber guns (8-inch and 5-inch)nearly exactly the same as those used on modern warships.
Very interesting. However, I think that the columbia would be a more advanced starship than the already very capable Daedalus class. Does the columbia not deserve the Asgard Beam Weapons in addition to the rail guns and missiles?
Not quite. It's a ship of my own design, but yes, it was heavily influenced by the Daedalus-class ships from Stargate. I am actually currently in the process of building a new model of this ship, the USS Columbia, that while still bearing a resemblance to the Daedalus will be more different and distinguishable.
Time Travel may already exist. "The History of Time Travel" is a nearly-completed novel, almost ready to be published. cjfontenot

Just a couple of shots from Asgard Beams should wipe out that probe not to mention some shock to a sovereign class starship shields if you liked. :)
