  • 6:16 new recruits?

  • i wanna know how old i have to be to get into bold eagle camp ..im only 12 ... can somebody please tell me

  • AFT is awesome!

  • 5:26 I hope he ain't infantry

  • @zippylip76 I've seen bigger men cry buddy.

  • @zippylip76 Robinson should have chewed him up

  • How heavy is the full pack?

  • @ALX753 I think around 20-30 pounds/.

  • @iFlaare more like 55 lbs

  • @ALX753 You have to have 55lbs total. TacVest, wpn, and rucksack. so the rucksack weights about 30 lbs.

  • @RobtimusPrime Alot of these people have never done anything like this before and it's a really big deal for them when they accomplish something as painful as this. I did this course and the 13k and fireman carry is no walk in the park, we lost alot of good recruits due to injuries.

  • This is embarassing. I have never seen so my crying and hugging after a long walk.

  • 2h 26min

  • Hang in there Warmenko. you'll make up for it..HANG IN THERE.

  • Hang in there Warmenko. you'll make up for it..HANG IN THERE.

  • geez i hope when i go for my BIQ in the spring we dont have a bunch of cry babies in my platoon...

  • why is that one guy crying?!

  • @FemaleEmceeNetwork hmm id like to see you go in the army and do what we do

  • they dont do fireman carry anymore, now its a 100m man drag, much more difficult than a fireman

  • 6:16 i bet the kids in the bus were like "look there are army guys"

  • @Raildog111 Well man... to be fair, every platoon has three or four criers. The March claims a few, the being away from the ones you love gets a couple, the wall gets a few. PT test failures cause the odd one too. Now, all of those moments from all of those people caught on camera? Yeah, they're gunna show it all.

  • @Raildog111 Happens in every military.

  • @Raildog111 ARMY STRONG

  • Bloody proud of all these people, damn good job!

  • @superjabpandafist yea okay bud... u cant just say the whole country is gettin weak... some people just dont have heart... and how do you not kno how hard it is? if you went through ti then i wont say anythin but if you havnt then dont even talk

  • um how much weight do they have to walk with :) like um how much do their rucksacks weigh

  • LOL My instructor where nothing like this!

I was in a french platoon and let me tell you that it is a lot LOT rougher then this..

Someone crying, no way. We did that march plus the fireman carry and the trenches a -40C at Farnham and none bitched or cried about it and all finished in 2:01 hours

R34 is a legend, never lost the commanders flag and never will!

  • i heard that in the american army women are not allowed to take combat arms jobs

  • @ZackyChann Women in the U.S. Army cannot serve in a combat unit on a permanent basis, but they can rotate through combat units months at a time.

  • why are so many people crying...

  • @AshFromCan These men and women train for MONTHS, they are there because they want to be the best they can be, they set a goal and they achieved it. 13 kilometers is 8 miles. or 140 football fields. imagine picking up someone your size on your back and carrying them that far. I guarintee after mile one your legs would be so soft you couldnt stand. and achievement that huge would be enough tomake chuck norris get emotional

  • @AshFromCan It could be the level of pain they're experiencing? Muscle's and tendons tightening up.

  • Whats the deal with kids these days.... 13k rucks are not a big deal....im getting old and I still dont have a problem with them. When I joined I think the 13k was the easiest thing you did... LOL

  • They guy at the end crying made me really sad for some reason...

  • so what happens if they cant make it?

  • Yea I think im going to need to be hammered for this part of BMQ 0_o

  • MIne ways about 55lbs fully loaded

  • Their gear weighs at 60 pounds for the 13k walk

  • Imagine if they had to jog or run haha

  • i thought u had to jog.! sweet. haha, i start in april! ^_^

  • @MrBrodsters what are you going as i might be starting end of april i find out when the new fiscal starts in april I just got excepted as a Combat Engineer :)

  • lmfao c u in april hopefully my application was handed in late and i get in april or june :S

  • @kenllll how long did it take to get the call?

  • LOL

  • AHhh the girls couldn't do it i feel bad for them they weaker then guys must of had trouble

  • @MrMrMarr I'd say about 53 pounds.

  • since when did we start saying hooahh, I thought it was hoorah?

  • @warriorslo

    H.U.A

    Heared, Understood, Acknowledged...

  • thts american

  • I'm really glad that this series was made. It really helps me for what to expect for when I go to St. Jean.

  • Best of luck. Going through te process of getting in for ATIS.

  • how long does it take to walk 13k?

  • u have a time limit of 2 hours and 21 mins i think

  • @KiraUsuck

The time the head guy gave was 2 hours, 24 minutes.

  • @KiraUsuck it take's me about 30-35 minutes to walk 4-5k so i dunno there walking faster then how i'd walk so it might take em 1-2 hours, but with all that weight it might feel like 20-30k lol

  • @KiraUsuck they even said 2:24....

  • @KiraUsuck Depends on the person I guess. I calculated that I walk about 6.7km/hour so I'd be able to do it in just about 2 hours of non-stop walking.

13km isn't that much though. 2 years ago, I walked 24km in 3 and a half hours, but I wasn't carrying 30 pounds on my back. I'm pretty sure I could do i with 30 pounds now, I was 15 at that time.

  • @hockey6467 its a min 45 pounds combined kit.

  • @KiraUsuck apparently 2:30 hours.

  • @KiraUsuck these guys did in 2 hrs 24 sec. We did it in 1hr 45 min in my basic.

  • @KiraUsuck these guys did in 2 hrs 24 min. We did it in 1hr 45 min in my basic.

  • @KiraUsuck around 2 hours normally but less is better

  • @KiraUsuck i had to do this exact thing and did it in 1 hour 35 minutes at a jogging pace

  • @KiraUsuck

When i did basic we did it in 2hrs and 6 mins. But if i remember correctly your given like 2hrs and 26 mins or 30 i don't remember.

  • @KiraUsuck Less then 2 hours

  • @KiraUsuck 2h and 30 min

  • @KiraUsuck The standard for the 13k is something like 2hrs 28mins. (keep in mind 50lbs on your back and 10 in your hands gets very exhausting and painful)

  • @KiraUsuck A persons walking average speed is about 80 m/min, so that would be about 162.5 mins for 13 km.

  • @KiraUsuck depending on what group your in but the fastest i have done it is like 1 hour and 45 minutes but the usual time is like 2 hours and 30 mins

  • @KiraUsuck Shouldnt take much more than a couple hours at a slow pace.

  • @KiraUsuck 2 hrs and 25 minutes I think is the time limit. Full fighting order and rucksack.

  • @KiraUsuck that one guy had his stop watch on. 2 hours 24 mintues

  • @KiraUsuck These guys jog for about around 10 miles with lots of heavy gear on their back. That pretty much sums up what the Infantry do a lot.

  • Hey guys starting my BMQ October 5th!! Going Met Tech!

By the way they don't say ''Hooyah'' or ''Hooah'' They say H.U.A. which stands for Heard, Understood, and Acknowledged. In the infantry it almost sounds like UH!

  • @MetTech09 thats american not canadian

  • I just did the BFT with my unit yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Hardest part is the fireman's carry at the end. As long as you keep a constant pace during the march you're fine. Jog for a few meters as well, helps your feet. Though my unit also lets guys go at their own pace so I'm sure that makes a difference. I still finished in a good time though.

  • Well I already walked 23km without gear, so with 120lbs I hope I'll be able to walk 13km

  • I`ve walked 13km on my own...It REALLY is hard to do alone. I took a bunch of breaks. Do it with a team, you can all help each other to do it all, no breaks. Damn I remember how good that felt. No blame for those that fell out here, it really is difficult.

  • These physical tests look easy.

  • Bear in mind this is Basic Military Qualification, this is a common training program for all branches and trades in the CF. It is designed to be reasonably challenging but not beyond achievement for someone who isn't an athlete. Combat arms personnel go on to further training which is much more demanding.

  • They are bro.. honestly the 13 k is a piece of cake.. remember mental fortitude, proper breathing and preperation.

  • Keep in mind you're only seeing bits and pieces. I'm sure it's all starting to add up.

  • If someone didnt finish the march sucessfully, would they be booted out right there. Or would they still be able to finish it somehow?

  • @PFCPEDERSON They would probably end up being recoursed.

  • we will see....

  • Besides the fact that this is Basic Training for everyone in the CF, and the SEALs are american Special Operations

  • too many emotions IMO

  • Man I hope I get Robinson during my BMQ.

  • who doesnt???

  • hahaha i know right?....thatd be awesome

  • come on now get showered up you stink!

  • whats the canadian forces battle cry? I know the USMC is ooo rahh

  • Hoo Eh?

Haha kidding, that battlecry isn't exclusive to the Americans you know.
