Oh yeah!!!!! That box right there is tuned at 35 hertz, I got a new box tuned at 28 hertz and that bitch hitting way harder than this video, the lower the hertz the harder the lows
Yeah definitely do that those L7 15's can hold more rms than the 12's... You'll be killing them with that setup and your speakers will be able to hold the power easily with no problem
i was thinking for a system getting two l7 15"s and powering them each with a sperate zx1500.1,would it be a good idea? becouse most people power them with one zx1500.1...?
@Hubert thanks for the information...I actually ordered 2 ohm L7's the other day so I won't have to worry about keeping the amp on 1 ohm anymore... And that wasn't my buddy who said the smell thing that was me...lol... But I didn't want to put a bigger fuss on it because I was afraid the amp might blow... The fuse is used as a protector for the amp... I even had people tell me to take the fuse off and just run the amp like that... That was definitely a big hell no!! Lol
@Kickerfiend86 actually from what i understand lately fuses dont even protect ur amp u can still blow the amp it protects ur vehicle so that shit dont catch on fire lol
if your amp is at 1ohm then your current draw is going to be mroe than 150amp, place a 200amp fuse in ther, if that blows put a 250. To small of wire wont pop the in line fuse it will just starve the amp causing fets usally to blow. Also clipping cant always be heard, more than likely you are clipping the amp, if your going through 150a fuses fast with that amp. plus ur bddy said they subs smell. Not a good sign, althougha common sign that you are def clipping. No because you are overpowering
But yeah the amp is set at 1 ohm so all that current just demolished the fuse... But when I get this 0 gauge I should be fine until I get my hand on some 2 ohm L7's 12's
@Kickerfiend86 what u tryna wire ur woofers to u have like 3 options i think u have daul 4s if ur talking about daul 2s u can wire them to 1 ohm and 4 ohm wired together if u were each sub just to its self ull get 2 ohm and 8 ohm
What do you mean? I actually have the amp set at one ohm which is a big no no... The reason is because my speakers are 4 ohm... Which means that I can't get full power with the recommended ohm on the amp which is 2 ohm... I don't really hear any clipping of the amp...

@50pieces honestly a single zx2500.1 would power those quite nicely.

Far to late for what?
Kickerfiend86 11 months ago
you can run the amp without fuse for DB drags but not for daily driving.
clipping can easily kill your subwoofers, it clips even before you hear it. if you notice clipping its far too late...

1:02 are you clipping your amp to death?
you shouldnt blow a 150 amp fuse because the wire is too small.
