  • when i saw the travel i was like o shit did i click a lebron video by accident

  • I think technically you get 2 and a half steps, with the half step coming on the dribble pick up

  • travelingggggggggggggg

  • D rose Is Hella Cold But The Dude Traveled. He Took 3 Steps

  • Dude, I don't care what anyone says, that's a travel. Look at the slo mo from 0:15 to 0:18. He takes three clear steps beginning with his left foot. Anyone who says it is not a travel because the refs didn't call it is a fool. Referees aren't aliens, they're human beings like us and they miss calls on occasions.

  • People still do not understand the NBA gather rule. Stop acting like you know more than the refs. They didn't call it because it's not a travel. Idk about your playground rules or your YMCA club rules, but the NBA has their own set of rules. So if you don't know them, shut the fuck up.

  • thats 3 steps .. lol .. thy dont call that tho .. its a good move

  • If you look closely lebron traveled

  • traveled @@

  • he traveled

  • U got that right hey that my bf

  • i think he is going to be the next jordan

  • @maynina123 Hell no the only thing him and MJ have in common is great athleticism and they play for Chicago...Kobe's the closest MJ like player Rose has his own greatness

  • @maynina123

Nobody is going to be the next Jordan. D-Rose will pave his own way to being one of the greatest to ever play, but he will never be Michael.

  • wow u guys r still arguing... if u guys said he traveled u guys should quit playing basketball and should not say u guys ard playing basketball. if u dont pick up ur dribble u can step as many as u want . he stepped 2 times and then picked up his dribble and then he stepped 2 times so its not traveling

  • Travel

  • @Psalm789 not really lol

  • @mhourani97 yes it is

  • @teesaccount stupid lol he took 2 and a half steps u dum dum... smfh aha

  • @mhourani97 cool answer; but still...it's travel. how many steps are u allowed to take? - 2

  • @teesaccount omg u dum how many steps do you have to take for a travel? 3

  • @mhourani97 which is what he did

  • @teesaccount no he took 2 and a half steps!

  • SefoloSHAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • No Travel

  • its called the eurostep..

  • @gsxrboi1000 LOL, do you even know what a eurostep is?

  • the first step was when he picked up a ball, which was a gather step, no travel idiots.

  • That's not a travel. He took 2 and a half. You are allowed 2 and a half in stride off the dribble.

  • 3 steps AFTER carrying the ball. obvious travel but nice finish.

  • God damn it's not a fucking travel? do u fucking dumb asses understand the rukes?

  • You guys are fuckin stupid! 3 steps is a travel!

  • shake and baked

  • The first 2 steps he was picking up his dribble therefore still legally dribbling, so he didnt travel, fucking idiots

  • @MrBirlax ur an idiot if, the only way ur allowed to take 2 steps while picking up ur dribble is when u jump stop, not when u do a lebron "travel" layup

  • ive seen him do that move in every ankle breaker that he does. between the legs back peddles than boom to the right.

  • 4 steps?

  • Slick.

  • This has to be one of Rose's prettiest moves!!

  • this one was kind of iffy. His gather move was pretty darn long. One could argue that he finished his gather by the time he took that gather step. All the great players do stuff like this though. (e.g., it looks like three steps but on the first step they don't have full control of the ball yet so it's not a step.)

  • @ak2pacalypse It's not that iffy cause derrick rose is faster than most players, so in slow mo it looks like it's iffy but it really isn't.

  • to me derricks crossover isnt that good if u watch him.. its mainly that first explosive step he gets on the defender

  • it's just like practice, lol.

  • Bulls vs Lakers

    Rose vs Kobe

    Raper vs the Rapist

  • @Braydent31

    Raper isn't a word..

  • Comment removed

  • if you think this is a travel you should stop watching the NBA when it comes back on Dec. 25th.

  • travel

  • If you pause it at around 0:15 his first is a dribble stride and picks the ball up on this step then takes his 2 steps for the layup.

  • Did he travel?????

  • @H3NOCH15 ya he traveled to oklahoma city

  • "Oh, oh stop it" D Rose raping the D

  • that was a travel, it looked nice though

  • @poinkero Had to rewind it like 15 times to confirm it. Damn, fast don't lie.

  • This is my player but that was definitely 3 steps.

  • @tomcatfdynasty In the NBA your allowed to take 3 steps...but the 3rd one has to be when you take off.

  • @mag3er1 It's not right that the NBA has different rules than the rest of the world(not including streetball of course) if it's two steps in highscool and college, it should be two steps in the NBA. They're supposed to be the best of the best, so why do they need it to be made easier for them...

  • @tomcatfdynasty i honestly asked the same thing.

  • thing of beauty

  • @Kadrolix23 he just did sir

  • This is just disturbing , children under the age of 16 shouldn't be watching this . lool where yo ankles at ?

  • NBA IS BACK MOFOS..ROSE REPEAT MVP FUCK DIRK!

  • rose travelled

  • @taemepramis that will never catch on because he doesnt do it

  • Damn. That's like our best defenders.

    OKC Fan

  • i cant belive but he travaled :/

  • travel

  • LeRose traveled

  • lol he took like 4 or 5 steps

  • WOW! What an awesome crossover... Even though he did travel on his way to the basket, but the refs were so amazed at the move D-ROSE made they didn't even see that he walked. LOL

  • @Abasketballgirl How's that a travel? Every NBA player finishes like that. With the exception of Lebron, he takes a few more steps.

  • @ChicagoFan32 Well he simply took 3 steps after he picked up his dribble... Unless the NBA rules have changed, that was a clear travel... Pretty easy call to make if you're paying attention, but it was just over-shaddowed by his awesome move. D-Rose is one of my favorite players, so I'm not hatin on him, but a travel is a travel...

  • @Abasketballgirl This is how it works. If you cross someone over, or simply drive in, if your hand is over the ball, or slightly to the side of the ball in a motion to where you could dribble or pick up your dribble, they don't count the steps yet. They count the steps when the ball is gripped with two hands, or is being carried (hand under the ball).

  • @iBreakAnklesss That must be some new NBA rule. Never heard of that? My dad and my grandfather are NCAA refs, and they have never heard of that rule either? So maybe in the NBA it's different, but in regular basketball, if you take 3 steps without dribbling the ball it's a travel.

  • @Abasketballgirl It's not new, it's been that way for a while. But in your case, if that's the real rule then traveling happens every play, lol. When you see college pg's and even Nba pg's they often take 3 steps between their dribbles, especially when pushing the ball down-court.

  • no nba....

  • Like this if you like all derrick rose video's put on here. Especially the ones on rondo

  • obviousely a travel even though i love d.rose

  • OMG ! 720p HD Best Video on Earth !

  • Damn I miss the NBA!!

  • @j099 its back!

  • @AkramJumaOfficial Haha Finally!

  • @j099 Don't gotta miss it anymore buddy!!!! :)

  • @koalalauncher Haha hell yea bro!

  • @j099 Its back !!

  • @j099 well ur getting it back for christmas!!

  • three big fat steps but nba clearly allows 3 steps these days

  • @mxpx83 You get 2 and half steps (two normal steps and a gather) before they call it traveling. Also, if the ball is still in a position for you to continue your dribble, then you're allowed leeway on that step as it is too hard to tell during live action if the person is going to dribble again or not. Look closely @ his first step, he could have continued his dribble.

  • @GRG313 thank god someone else knows about the 2 1/2 rule. fuck i swear some people need to read the rules. lol seriously

  • @mxpx83 but he was aloud to take as many steps because it was on the dribble wasn't it then he took his 2 steps

  • Refs look mostly at D-rose feet because of the speed and that was not a travel thats not how it works!! But thats one of the smoothest crossovers i have ever seen!!

  • how did he travel? the ball was in a dribbling motion and he took two steps. Most of don't seem to have the mental capabilities to figure this out.

  • wow i guess lebron isnt the only one to travel

  • lebron traveled

  • 3 footsteps with the ball in his right hand. Left, right and left again to jump.

TRAVELLING number 54673457566556822 of the nba season

  • @aupathletic27 The thing the refs watch Most when D-Rose Plays are his Feet. they would've called the Travel

  • Comment removed

  • yup he traveled, but this is nba

  • no travel he ne didnt pick up the ball until he took his two steps

  • @alexmvp14 thats not how traveling works

  • im pretty sure he traveled

  • @asassin4496 Who the fuck doesnt travel in the nba?

  • @asassin4496 3 steps isnt travel

  • @xSLiMxTHuGx Uh, 3 steps actually IS a travel, look it up. In this play though it's a little iffy but I don't think he traveled because the first two steps happened before his dribble was completed, THEN he took two more.

  • @boredfun91 if it was travel why didn't they call it?

  • @xSLiMxTHuGx cus apparently nba likes travel

  • @asassin4496 naw he didn't travel he took 3 steps

  • Comment removed

  • This is a travel. Happens almost every game, but it's the NBA

  • @harriszsultan Here: espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/9963/traveling-violation-nba-on-rule-change. Also make sure you click on the hyperlink "the Two Step". Does that open your mind? Ever wonder why it happens almost every game? Because it's the NBA, LOL. you are so misinformed. This ain't highschool or college derp. Even they allow this in College, just not often cuz they dont want the players getting used to it during pre-NBA

  • @frkye everyone knows the two-step rule fuckboy. he took 3 steps though. Now go google search 'is 3 steps a travelling violation in the NBA?' then send me the link if you find that its not.

  • TRAVEL

  • he just abused THABO SEFALOSHAA!

  • Not a travel, but if Lebron did the same exact move it is.....

  • Ayyowhatupman@ I agree with u

  • you guys are stupid! you dont even know the rules of the NBA! you can take 3 steps as long as you dont stop after taking your 3rd, when you take that 3rd step you have to jump and shoot, or do a jump step! Thumbs up BOI!

  • that's some black magic

  • lol SEFOLOSHHA...lol commentantor

  • cant even see that in normal speed lol

  • best finisher in the nba

  • @Alexao67 You added an extra word (finisher)

  • i miss thabo..wish he was still with the Bulls

  • As u can see Derrick Rose indeed Traveled Lol no hate but damn he took like 7 steps

  • THABO SEFoLOOOSHAAA

  • Greatest Quality Ever

  • too smooth

  • if the ref didn't see it, it didn't happen...so no travel. ha

  • The body control is amazing. I tried that today and looked like a fish outta water

  • im more concerned with the fact that whoever posted this video doesnt understand that when someones ankles get broken they fall... that was just a good crossover not an ankle breaker

  • @KUCaldog187 Not true Ankle Breaker is when u Twists Someones ankle or make them roll there ankle and make them off Balance you dont have to fall

  • steps only counts after he holds the ball with 2 hands or carry the ball my friend.

  • Why is everyone complaining about how he traveled? He obviously kicked ibaka in the balls

  • @BombDragon1 lol

  • In the NBA 3 steps are allowed.....

  • that wasn't an ankle breaker

  • He cant be stopped

  • 0:15 Derrick Rose hella travels... three steps

  • he took three steps so Rose Traveled

  • If you think this is a travel

Derrick rose probably broke your ankles to..

  • thats not a travel

he only took two steps with the ball in two hands

if thats a travel then nearly everything in basketball is a travel

  • @MrBeauJango He was holding the ball on the first step. It is a travel.
