  • Wow, this guitar has mind-blowing sustain. Your playing style brings out its beauty.

  • damn, exquisite bass response

  • pete, would you say this is a jumbo or small jumbo sized guitar? it sounds huge!

  • I'm very surprised that you didn't record an album with that guitar. You seem extremely comfortable with it, and it seems extremely comfortable with you.

  • nice....sounds great ..how much friend ,,,also are you running to amp,, then to interface ,,for that chorus reverb?? ...excellent vid and thanx Rob

  • Im really impressed with your chord work on your album and in these videos. Could you elaborate on how you got to that point with chords?

  • D A D G A D ?

  • what song do you play???

    i i i i i i i i i i i want that song *¬*

  • Sorry I know that comment was all over the place. 3 ideas compressed into a crappy sentence. You're great and the guitar is great!

When I read the title I expected the frets to be more fanned out than they are, just from other fanned fret guitars I've seen before.

I always thought fanning the frets was to give better intonation but now I see it's for that other stuff too. And in terms of intonation, True Temperament frets are very interesting and effective.

I see how that came of weird.

  • Hey man, nice playing but, I think you should know there's a ghost or apparition in the smaller window to the right, at about 1:49. You can see a short of shadowy thing fly up right in front of the blinds.

  • There's a ghost at 01:49 in the overlayed video, next to the window. Who ya gonna call?

  • these acoustics you have been demoing are really on a different level then some of more available brands people are used to

  • @swyitch yes it's pretty amazing, and kind of hard because I wish they were all mine!

  • @sinasl1: pete, would you say this is a jumbo sized guitar or a small jumbo?

  • Stunning: The guitar, playing and recording...

  • ive heard worse recorded records :D that was a compliment, hope you get the angle ;)

  • Best recording quality on youtube, thanks Pete.

  • Doesn't seem THAT fanned. Have you tried True Temperament? I think it accomplishes what the fanning is trying to do a lot better.

  • @GuillermoSmyser uh.... huh?

it's 27" on the treble and 28" on the bass side. Fully one inch longer. Not sure what you are getting at- Does the bass sound tight to you? It's friggin amazing as far as I'm concerned.

  • @GuillermoSmyser True temperament necks are for intonation.

Fanned fret necks are just to regulate tension and allow heavier strings, it's not an intonation thing but a scale length one.

  • @GuillermoSmyser I think you don't understand how fanned fretboard and True Temperament really work because there is nothing in common in those cases except they're both alternative fretboards ;>

  • Great Video and and an awe inspiring guitar sound. I am requesting a video/tutorial on recording to youtube. It is my stumbling block and your videos are all lush. Please throw me a bone....

  • Beautiful guitar man.. and as always stellar playing.. How did you record that? Are you using that mic that we see in the shot? if so what mic is that?

  • dude... if you have a day job, quit it, this is amazing, btw wouldn't the fanned frets make it a little harder to do the more complex chords because the E string is so far back?

  • @0O0Axium0O0 It's a low B string :P If anything some chords might be a little harder and others will be easier with fanned frets. But it's not that much different, and then only noticeably so at the start and end of the fretboard.

  • @0O0Axium0O0 Fortunately for all of us, it is his day job. Great job Pete and a really unique guitar-thanks for sharing
