I'm very surprised that you didn't record an album with that guitar. You seem extremely comfortable with it, and it seems extremely comfortable with you.
Sorry I know that comment was all over the place. 3 ideas compressed into a crappy sentence. You're great and the guitar is great!
When I read the title I expected the frets to be more fanned out than they are, just from other fanned fret guitars I've seen before.
I always thought fanning the frets was to give better intonation but now I see it's for that other stuff too. And in terms of intonation, True Temperament frets are very interesting and effective.
Hey man, nice playing but, I think you should know there's a ghost or apparition in the smaller window to the right, at about 1:49. You can see a short of shadowy thing fly up right in front of the blinds.
it's 27" on the treble and 28" on the bass side. Fully one inch longer. Not sure what you are getting at- Does the bass sound tight to you? It's friggin amazing as far as I'm concerned.
@GuillermoSmyser I think you don't understand how fanned fretboard and True Temperament really work because there is nothing in common in those cases except they're both alternative fretboards ;>
Great Video and and an awe inspiring guitar sound. I am requesting a video/tutorial on recording to youtube. It is my stumbling block and your videos are all lush. Please throw me a bone....
Beautiful guitar man.. and as always stellar playing.. How did you record that? Are you using that mic that we see in the shot? if so what mic is that?
dude... if you have a day job, quit it, this is amazing, btw wouldn't the fanned frets make it a little harder to do the more complex chords because the E string is so far back?
@0O0Axium0O0 It's a low B string :P If anything some chords might be a little harder and others will be easier with fanned frets. But it's not that much different, and then only noticeably so at the start and end of the fretboard.
Wow, this guitar has mind-blowing sustain. Your playing style brings out its beauty.

Doesn't seem THAT fanned. Have you tried True Temperament? I think it accomplishes what the fanning is trying to do a lot better.

@GuillermoSmyser True temperament necks are for intonation.
Fanned fret necks are just to regulate tension and allow heavier strings, it's not an intonation thing but a scale length one.
