I learned about Crank Balls because these specific characters in this video are featured all over NYC subway ads for the Brooklyn Art Museum. Congrats.
Didn't even know what it was until googling, but now I see you are a spectacularly talented animator. So much deceptive detail in your work. Bravo.
Applause! Applause! Bravo! That's some totally fantastic animation right there! I love the fact that I watch it with really no idea how you manged to do it. It's classic stop motion alright but, you've given it a bouncy weightlessness, smoothness and personality uncommonly great for the medium. More Applause! Applause! Bravo! :)
i love the detail of folds in the skin as i too have a passion for this type of animation and many other types as well. how do you your teeth? made of white plasticine or what ever clay you use?
I'm glad you enjoyed my film, thanks so much! Currently, there is no release plan for Crank Balls, as it is still circulating in festivals. Eventually, a good full-length version will be online.
Thanks for your interest in the Valentine spot. I made the piece through JibJab, and so they own the screening rights, but you can always view it on the "Valentine's Sendables" page of their website. (more movies to come!!)
I went to school with you, long, long ago. I was hoping to find your claymations! I did, I did. Looks like you are doing well. I just did a crude but fun claymation with my Art Appreciation class. Peace-Miles
I just got back from watching "Crank Balls" at the Sprockets Film Festival here in Toronto, and it was the BEST FILM WE SAW! I laughed soooooo hard. Brilliant!

Any decent art supply or craft store should carry plastacine in different colors. It’s oil-based non-drying clay that is perfect for animation.

the teeth are oven-bake clay, and the puppets are plastacine.
Thanks for the interest in the film.
