ever since i got to know frostie ive been seriously looking for buying this cockatoo kind. the only thing holding me back is all the stuff ive heard about them getting too attached to their owners and have behavioural problems at older age....:(

by the way, this kind of living of yours (california, outdoors, lots of parrots etc) is my fantasy !! its seems perfect. everything is nicer in america;)

My Bare-Eyed Cockatoo's name is Curly. He is a natural clown, so I named him after the greatest of natural clowns, Curly of the Three Stooges. He was hatched in January 1995, and he enslaved me in March 1995. He dances all the time, talks all the time, and "sings" along with opera.

This video was actually made about a year ago down at Birds of Paradise where Frostie was being babysat prior to my buying him. Ted owns over 350 parrots! Not all of them are in the house but there were enough in there to make some noise! Lol! If you listen carefully to all his dance videos on the perch you can hear the birds in the background. Mind you, I was in his office with the door closed!

I have four parrots: Avis, Frostie, Gracie and Corkie.

I got my lil conure sitting on my shoulder now watching movies with me. He's a good bird...he will tuck himself into the crook of my neck when he gets cozy. His name is Pedro and he says his name all the time...and when i shut the light out at night...he likes to make kissing sounds.

How cute! Avis whispers to me, "Give me a big kiss!" He actually said it once in his cute little crystal clear voice. I took him outside and he just said it! That was months ago. When I take a shower, he sits up above and says, "Did you take a bath? Take a bath! Avis take a bath! Avis, did you have a bath?" It's so cute. When the phone rings, he makes this really strange sound then says, "Oh! Oh!" while I'm talking and when I say, "I'll talk to you later", he says, "Bye! Bye!" It is so cute!

That is awesome! My bird has picked up on a few bad habits like burping...lol...don;t ask me why. But it is as funny as heck. He immitates decently...but i would love to have a gray cause they pick up on everything...and it would just make me laugh to see that. But I fear my conure would be sad if I divided my attention...I really like him and want him to know he is the bird...you know?

Gracie and Corkie spent four years without attention so they aren't demanding it. In fact, they'd just as soon I leave them alone, although they will let me handle them and don't bite.

Avis and Frostie compete for my attention! Sometimes one will be on my shoulder and here comes the other one.

The other day, Gracie got in Avis's cage. I had Avis on my shoulder and was lifting Gracie out and Frostie jumped on my other shoulder! Mind you, they don't like each other!

This is the problem I've had when trying to make the dance videos. Frostie will stop to preen (like at 0:38, poop, turn around and dance with his back to the camera or keep doing the same dance move the entire song.)

Hi Patty! Frostie does that a lot and I've got to make a new video of him doing all his dance moves while flapping his wings ............. you'd ROAR! The only one he doesn't do is the fast head spinning. I've noticed he always puts his wings down as he starts to do that. (Watch Frostie's Dancing Lesson: Mustang Sally to see what I mean, keeping in mind that I don't give him lessons and the video was to illustrate how he copies me if he sees me make a move I've seen him make.)

Actually, this video was shot a long time ago and I didn't upload it because of him being distracted.
