The Army was at best under Saddam's leadership. My dad served in the Iraq-Iran war, 8 years straight! They get up every morning at 5AM, do intense jogging/sprinting until 7AM, then eat breakfast then more hardcore drills. Anyone who tries to run away from the Army gets found within minutes and is then immediately killed, i know it's wrong but it teaches them a big, big lesson that they must obey and do the right thing to protect the nation.

They're not even that effect on stand-up for you're average sized male. The pkm is a rapid fire mg, Yet it shoots the largest infantry calibre in the world. The 7.62x54mmR is larger than the standard nato sniper rifle/battle rifle round. So it's not exactly easy to shoot with the 5th,6th,7th etc. rounds become duck hunters.
