Under the tank and saddle bags are PILOT from Autozone, and under the floor boards are Electro Pods.
I suggest getting something reputable and returnable. I tried some no-name stuff from ebay, but the color never matched, or they shorted out quickly, and I replaced them with the stuff above. As you see it here, is still trouble free today (+3 years later) - BTW same user name on KawaNOW. See you there
Well sort of. It's all stock hardware, but I've replaced the cat.converter with plain pipe to make it true-dual. Also I've cut the baffles from the stock mufflers and pushed big holes through the remaining insides. I'm happy with the sound, and often get compliments. Thanks for the question.
I worked in a machine shop at the time. I set each muffler on end and cut the weld with a home-made fly cutter. I've seen it done by hand with a cut-off wheel on a dremel or roto-zip. You might get it done quick and clean with a fine tip on an acetolene torch or plasma torch. ??? Good luck.
Exhaust won't change the fuel mix, but I did add the Cobra fuel processor after the Kury. hypercharger. Along with the exhaust, though, be sure to plug that "coaster" thing that pushes fresh air into the exhaust. If you don't you'll have back fires on decelleration. Cool at first, when you fire 12 inch flames, but probably bad on the valves, so I stopped it. Instructions for that can be found on Gadget's page and others.
What brand of LED did you install? Do you like them?
