I totally agree, it lost it's feel that the original had. I didn't een like the sequel to this either.

The Japanese version of Golden Axe... complete with blood dripping in the Player Select screen. Nice!

this specific japanese version also features an extra scene in the demo which has ax battler beheading an enemy which was deleted in the international and US versions. btw, the arcade version features Deputy Mitch's "Oh, God!" scream from First Blood (along with the scream Arthur Gault does when he falls from the police chopper)
