Very interesting! I have a very outside perspective, I live in a very racially homogenous country, Finland, and I'm white, so I might not get the full picture of this. However, everythin I hear about black liberation theology sounds amazing! Jesus is a revolution! a revolution of love! Not a violent revolution, but a revolution against all injustice, of which racism is a huge one, a fact shown in all research, in statistics! The bible passionately hates all injustice, and we are to hate it too!!
I think that people just don't understand what black theology really is. BTW half of the bible in the text are true and some of it is just stories or yet to come. And yes, Yeshua(Jesus) was black.
Black liberation theology is of satan. Their jesus is black but the Holy Bible says Jesus is white. Sooooooo, if you believe in a black jesus and Baptised into a black jesus, you are not saved!!!
That's interesting! Please tell me, where in the bible did you find the info that Jesus was "white"? I did only find him mentioning he was "not from this world".
But social justice for whom? Blacks. What about all the poor white children. What about all the poor white adults out of a job or money. There are actually more poor white people below the poverty line than blacks (not percentage wise however). My point is this, from the little I heard, is poverty and injustice comes from being black because of the rich white people. Wright lives in a mansion but talks about rich people. And he identifies the white ones. But he doesn't really give names.
Reverend Jeremiah Wright didn't say a single thing that offended me, and I agreed with much of it. This is just the typical racism and anti-Christian bias coming from Hollywood and the corporate media. These media commentators have never read the Bible, so who cares what they think about Christianity? They don't know a damn thing about it.
Black liberation theology is bunk

Amen!
This man makes absolute sense!
America should take care of it self.
Screw everyone else.
Black and White in this country have to come together first before we can even hope to do any good in the rest of the world.
