  • review before i fall by lauren oliver

  • so going to read it loved loved loved before i fall

  • I have amor deliria nervosa for this book, can't wait for Pandemonium.

I totally love your review ;)

  • @biankina17isback Right? I'm dying to read it! Especially after that ending! And thank you so much for the compliment!

  • I loved delirium too :D got it off amazon cause of its reviews, and it was amazingggg. Pandemonium out in like, 5 years time xD daym.

  • i love your reviews, they're more entertaining than the normal review.

and i know what you're talking about, i hated twilight & vampire books because it was so hyped. If you're still up for a really good dystopia novel you should try Wither by Lauren Destefano

  • You make me really want to read this book. I've noticed the fad too, and have been scared away from it. The vamp attack on book stores totally freaked me out and I didn't want to encourage this one. But I do like all of those books you mentioned. Maybe this fad won't be so bad.

  • Loved your review! It makes me sad that I didn't love it as you did. I may have to read it again next year.

  • @DeannaReads Aw! I'm sad that you didn't enjoy it! I went into it with very low expectations and really ended up loving it. I'm glad you liked my review of the book though! :D

  • @MrYABookAddict Why thank you, sir. :)

  • @MrYABookAddict Oh honey! Never fear, I always come back. My middle name is boomerang after all. (It's really Michelle, but let's pretend. We all know readers have great imaginations.)

  • I LOVED this book! I am so excited for Pandemonium! And I'm very excited to hear your thoughts on Uglies.

  • I love the explosion! This is a great review! I'm definitely going to look into this book!

  • Ahhh Uglies is SO good. Would love to hear your thoughts!! Did you read Extras? It was so unnecessary. Loved the series though, have you read Westerfeld's other series, The Midnighters? Great review. :) So glad you're back to making reviews! Youtube missed you!

  • @effervescentspirit Uglies is one of my favorites. I agree about Extras though. Interesting story, but yes, totally unnecessary. I probably won't ever read it again. I did read the Midnighters when I was in High School. But it wasn't my favorite. I think Uglies is still his best work. I thought Midnighters was VERY original and interesting, but I think back then, all of the cursing turned me off. And the ending was very sad. I plan on reading Leviathan sometime soon as well. Have you read that?

  • @katemichellouiseweb Yes! It was interesting, a cool idea, but poorly executed. It made me hate Tally... And I loved Tally :( No I agree, Uglies is better, but those were a great read! I have it, but unfortunately I haven't gotten around to reading it! By any chance, have you read Flowers For Algernon by Daniel Keyes? I feel like you'd really like it!

  • @effervescentspirit (In case you didn't figure it out, katemichellouise web is my other user name. This is KatesBookClub) I agree. Tally was awful in Extras. Which I hated. The best part of Uglies is that Westerfeld can make you side with Tally even when she becomes what we have hated for the first two books. It's insanely cool! I read Flowers for Algernon in high school. But it was required. And I rebel with required reading. I'll think about trying it again. :)

  • @katemichellouiseweb Haha, I figured it out, took a second but my mind eventually reached the same conclusion... may have taken a minute or two... 8) Yah I totally agree, but she just flat out sucked in Extras! I hate it when that happens! Definitely give it a shot! :) Reading anything good now?

  • @effervescentspirit Of course! I'm currently reading The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley. A favorite from, you guessed it, High School. :P And The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. For kids, but fun. I have my summer reading list posted on my blog. You should check it out. I'm going to have them all finished by the end of September. And you can also figure out the books I've finished but haven't posted reviews for yet. :) The link to my blog is in the description. Just click the books tab.

  • @katemichellouiseweb Ohh! Let me know how The Lightening Thief is, I'm actually interested in ordering the boxed set. I'm older myself, but I thought I'd give it a shot! Very cool, thanks! :)

  • @effervescentspirit I'm listening to it on audio. It's been a very fun read. it's definitely meant for younger readers, but that doesn't mean it's bad. The story is well told and fun! I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm only halfway through, but I'll be finished in a few days.

  • @katemichellouiseweb Very cool! :) I heard the movie was a bitter disappointment though! Oh, jeez, meant to ask you forever ago but you totally disappeared off of Youtube! Have you read City Of Fallen Angels?!?!

  • @effervescentspirit I didn't see the movie, but then, I hadn't read the book and it kinda slipped under my radar. Yeah, the disappearing from YouTube... I just stopped couldn't get into anything I was reading and therefore didn't have any material. And it took much longer than it should have to read all 7 HP's. I haven't read City of Fallen Angel's yet. But it's on my autumn reading list. I just read Clockwork Angel though and LOVED it! It'll be posted after my next review of Birthmarked.

  • @katemichellouiseweb Just got into the HP books, eh? My friend did the same, took her a while, but so worth it! Oh you must! It was so intense! I won't spoil it for you, but OH MY LORD. Clockwork Angel was SO good, I can't wait for the next one!

  • @effervescentspirit Haha, no no! I've been a fan on HP since I was 11. I was just rereading them before I saw Part 2 in theaters. I loved Clockwork Angel! It was incredible! I've heard that City of Fallen Angels wasn't so great though. But I still plan on reading it for myself. :)

  • @KatesBookClub Oh very nice! How'd you like the movie? Well, you need to go in to it with an open mind and acknowledge that it truly is a new storyline. Some of the things made me a little unsettled but it really is great! No idea how she's going to finish the story! Clockwork Angel was awesome, and I have to ask. Team Will or Jem? ;) When I met the author she asked me that, and I said "I don't know, it's pretty tough!" and she replied "I'm the author, I get to pick!" I am Team will. LOL.

  • @effervescentspirit I LOVED the movie. I thought it was amazing! Alan Rickman's performance was incredible. I think I'm Team Will... but honestly that's because I really think that's who Tessa will end up with in the end. He's kind of a jerk, but obviously he has some issues in his past that we'll figure out. I love Jem to death, but I think he's more of the best friend kind of character.

  • @KatesBookClub I totally agree! He's incredible! Yeah, I feel that. The author releases spoilers every month and she says she's releasing a steamy scene from Clockwork Prince, but she won't reveal who it's with! I'm going to guess Will, but you never know! YES! What was up with the end, and him going to Magnus?! I know that the next two ID books are going to fit in with the next TMI books... but who knows what'll happen!

  • @effervescentspirit It was definitely a very good read. I loved seeing all of the connections with TMI. And I think that the setting was so much fun. I might have actually enjoyed it more than the modern day setting. Agh! I gotta cut it out. My review of CP is coming out in like 9 days! I'm just taking lines right out of it now.

  • @KatesBookClub It's all good, I'll act like it's all new to me ;) Oh ho ho, wait until you read COFA! Much... MUCH more ties! It's such a fast read, you don't even have time to recover from all the madness!

  • @effervescentspirit I hope I enjoy it. I've heard a lot of bad reviews for COFA. But I think they were expecting it to be just like the rest of TMI. I'm still excited to read it and see for myself.

  • @KatesBookClub Yeah, I had pretty mixed feelings for it, since I loved the conclusion so much and COG was my favourite! But it really is a great read. The end will blow your mind!!

  • @effervescentspirit I'm excited to read it. My fall list will start in October, and it's one of the first that I'll be reading! :)

  • @KatesBookClub Very cool! Looking forward to your review ;) The joy of having you back on Youtube! I remember when I first saw your intro to your page, I literally sighed with relief. So once again, LOVE the reviews! :)

  • @effervescentspirit Aw, that is so sweet! I'm seriously blushing. I'm glad I'm back too. That year where I had that hiatus was really awful actually. I'm glad I decided to come back. And better, I'm glad that people like my videos and are glad I'm back too. That means a lot to me. Thank you.

  • @KatesBookClub It's no problem! :) Just speaking the truth girl! :) Imma move this convo to messaging! So difficult to keep up with!

  • Great review :) I've put this book higher on my TBR pile....
