  • @TheBigDickInYourAss

You're the biggest idiot I've seen in my entire life. You mock the other guys spelling while yours is even worse than his,by the way you act I can tell you're probably 12 or something and you're calling the generation you're in "shit posers".If you're not 12,you're a damn 32 year old redneck who dropped out of school and now stays at home flaming videos of bands he doesn't like because he is too afraid of leaving his room since his dad buttfucked him.

  • i just love youtube fights... XD

  • @queenville

Not really a fact, just stating my opinion.

If the troll replied back (he won't,his account was closed) I wouldn't reply back then.

  • the best fuckin bass by CLIFF!!!

  • imagine metallica with cliff and with dave mustaine. and with no lars. that's a bunch of crazy guys. that would have been incredible

    beautiful dreams

  • @frenkiebeats

there would be no metallica without lars, so your comment is stupid and real paradox

  • @vhc107 Ya but lars wouldnt be with them they planned on kicking lars out after the tour but then cliff died

  • @zzzhuh Yeah, of course..

    Remember who made Metallica?

    Lars!

  • @PlushiVid ? no not really at all! lars didn't make the band...he was part of it and still is but there are all kinds of rumors about lars going to be kicked out so don't consider me the bad guy for saying it

  • @zzzhuh

Nah, I`m not considering you the bad guy don`t worry I know there`s a lot of things in the internet, but well Lars and James made Metallica, but Lars actually had the idea of make a band. If you don`t believe me go to wikipedia.

  • @zzzhuh Lars and James made Metallica and then they invited Ron McGovney as bassist and Dave Mustaine as guitar

  • The Bass Exploud My speakers¡¡

    Cliff Em All \,,/

  • damn it if you so damn think that well about cliff burton write it as it's right "REST IN PEACE CLIFF BURTON, and if you can't come posses my body any time"

  • R.i.P Cliff your are the best ...

  • @savard599 Without he, the band is crap.

  • I'd give anything to see it live, even with trujillo...it's not like cliff, but it's the best from metallica in now days!

but in Brasil that'd be impossible

I cannnot complain much, couse I am happy with the early concert I saw of the death magnetic's tour

  • this is fuckin scary......it sounds haunted....metalheads march...

  • R.I.P. Cliff ! =(

  • 5:43 - 5:46 wowe thats WAH sounds really unworldly, i think so can sounds cthulhu's moanig. HPL would be proud.excuse my english :-)

  • 5:44 FUCKIN AWESOME! how did he do that WAAAH!!!! i mean who did that kirk or clif?

  • I think it's Cliff, no, it's Cliff.

    He's awesome

  • yeah. cliff had all those weird effects. and he also used distortion quiet often! he was an exceptional bassist!

  • cliff

  • yeah thats cliff

  • @eroticblack thats cliff+morley wah

  • @eroticblack Sounds like The major ranger on the four string

  • @eroticblack Cliff

  • @eroticblack cliff all the way...its on the studio version too

  • @arehormeus yeah dude ur right!!!! cliff's bass was legendary for this song....! Amazin!!!

  • @eroticblack itc cliff

  • @eroticblack cliff

  • @eroticblack cliff

  • @eroticblack

is cliff man, is cliff Rock in heaven

  • @eroticblack He used a Morley Power Wah (since it goes VERY treble, i think he tweaked it a bit), and a Big Muff fuzz. He basically hits a power chord, and open the wah all the way up. (Don't try this home)

  • @fuzzerify yeah dude you are so fuckin right!! :D:D:D yeah one should not try such EXTREME stuff at home :D:D:D

  • @eroticblack so they can do it on stage, and keep up the great rock'n'roll. :D thx bro.

  • @eroticblack

    i agree

it sounds like wounded whale or pissed ctulhu :)

  • I went to that gig omg thought I would never hear that again....

  • maybe the sound is bad, due to the bad recording technology back then..but i swear that it sounds creepier than on the studio version

  • ??? It's over *NINE* THOUSAAAAAND!!!!!!!! >:(

  • I never knew that they played it live with CLIFF

    THIS IS GREAT !!

    RIP CLIFF

  • @vladcjskate tha's not metallica!!!!!!!

  • This song is in the best of MetallicA and Cliff BurtoN...Awesome!!!...R.I.P ClifforD LeE BurtoN...

  • Damn, that bass thing on 1:45 and 1:48 sounds eerie.

  • the last pic is the best R.I.P! Cliff!!

  • last pic ever taken of cliff

  • whos that with them at 3:34? looks like one of the dudes from anthrax

  • Yeah, it's Scott Ian

  • Scott Ian. They were buddies with Anthrax back in the early days.

  • this si when they first came out like wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy before this is great stuff

  • Hahahahaha Cliff's smokin' a J 1:56

  • kitty kitty kittytulu

  • this is not a fake. i've been a fan of metallica since 1983 and have a lot of their bootlegs and this ids from one that was recorded in 1984-85 when they were playing the clubs and if you listen closely you can hear cliffs distorted bass sound which he was known for.

  • dude i am a fan and i play a lot of there stuff on guitar i know there history (which you probably do as well) and i know they played in clubs but it didn't sound like shit like on how this does that can't be kirk doing it if this was recorded in 1983 i would believe that cause dave mustaine wrote this along with cliff but that isn't kirk

  • actually, this was recorded before they had recorded it on the album officially, so they were likely still working out the kinks of it. that is why it doesnt sound as good.

  • its short for clifford i think

  • in fact is clifford lee burton, so? is hes name, is not the name is the person, and the person make the name

  • yeah ur right i guess..

    i didn't understand a word of all that..words..

  • OH MY GOD!! 3:08 is soooooo amazing!

  • their 3 diff names for this song when hell freezes over call of ktulu and call of chuchulu or something like that

  • when hell freezes over was what mustaine named it.

it later got changed to the call of ktulu

and chuchulu and ktulu are jus different spelling for the same name.

  • ktulu is some kind fictional monster

  • It's Cthulhu not Chuchulu

  • Ripped from wikipedia

Cthulhu has also been spelled as Tulu, Clulu, Clooloo, Cthulu, Cighulu, Cathulu, Kutulu, Qthulu, Ktulu, Kthulhut, Kulhu, Thu Thu,[3] and in many other ways.

  • god down to the earth on 1962 and return to the heaven in 1986...

    We Miss You Cliff

  • maybe it sounds like shit because its live and not the studio version ya fuckin moron any band except for a couple doesnt sound like their studio songs

  • mediocre quality but overall this kicks ass

  • Great pictures ! But , hm, are you shure , that Metallica´s playin ?? Sounds a little bit week !

  • de donde sacaron eso es una reliquia!!!!!

  • ahem...over 20 years ago...ahem...dipshit

  • The wobbly tape gives it a cool effect.

  • much creepier than the new one, its awesome in a macabre way.

  • great song!!

    and great photos!

    Cliff em' all!!!!

  • to be honest with y'll. that doesn't sound like metallica at all! IMO, i mean the sound sucks big time especially the drums. i think it's a cover band who played this. GO MetallicA!!!

  • If you listen to the beginning, someone yells 'METALLICA!!' really loud. I'm not really sure someone would scream that at a cover band unless they were the same name. >.>

  • It's a bootleg recording, moron. The sound quality usually sucks on those.

  • Cliff is my inspiration for effects on bass

  • I'm not a bass player but I think he's inspiring how he'd play some main riffs and leads on his bass. Like the intro to "For Whom The Bell Tolls"... For years I thought it was a six string guitar, not a bass. Or in this song he stands out at all the right parts.

  • Orion too, the last solo right before it gets heavy again. Its a bass! Who woulda thunk it!

  • Yes. Great example. And my top three Metallica albums are the first three with Cliff.

Jason and Rob are good bass players and deserving of Metallica. But both of them combined don't come close to Cliff in my opinion.

  • same

  • HAHAHA i recently found that out too, after 3years with the album. damn i can finaly hear cliff!!!! its a gift from God himself!!

  • "Dude thats a bass!"

  • My god, if it isn't Dave vs. Kirk, it's Cliff vs. Jason vs. Rob. Leave it alone and enjoy the music. Cliff's ghost would kick all your asses if he heard you all bickering like a bunch of bitches.

  • I agree with you, if you love MetallicA you love James, Lars, Kirk, Cliff, Jason and Robert... (Dave NOT XD) U.U MetallicA is a religion...

  • Not Bob Rock either lol

  • The main reason Cliff and Jason are so different is because Jason only followed the guitar, and didn't put a whole lot of thought into his playing. Sure he has energy and presence, but Cliff was undeniably more talented at the bass than Jason. Cliff turned it into a whole different style of playing, going off on his own tangent a lot but still keeping with the general idea.

    Jason played bass.

    Cliff played lead bass.

R.I.P. Clifford Lee Burton, Major Rager on the Four-Stringed Motherfucker.

  • but what you have to realize is that like 90% of the basslines that jason played were written by james and lars. jason had next to zero creative input during his time with metallica, that's one of the reasons why he left.

i'm not saying that jason was better than cliff, cliff was my first bass idol. but you need to give jason more credit.

  • That IS true... I guess the loss of Cliff just got to them so much that they didn't want to have another Cliff. That would explain the creative limitation. Cliff was creative as anything, and Jason probably is too. Maybe letting Jason be creative would've reminded them to much of Cliff.

Maybe they just didn't like the idea of someone being better than Cliff, and that's why they restricted him and ridiculed him so much.

    Just a few thoughts. :]

  • You definitely don't give Jason enough credit. He makes some pretty great basslines. This is a dude that chose not to have a family or even a wife for quite a while to devote his life to music. It wasn't him. Metallica themselves kept him down, and it was a terrible move on their part, limiting his creativity when he had so much to offer. That said, Cliff was outstanding.

  • Yeah, he did very cool basslines, but is better original Cliff's than hims in For Whom and Ktulu

  • yeah and the fucking epic bass solo in orion

  • you know what else. they didn't give jason enough freedom to do his own thing when writing music. so that must've greatly hindered his ability to write some good basslines for band

  • dude, that's one of the reasons he left..

  • i know that's why he left lol i'm just stating we might've gotten some badass basslines if they would've let him.

  • well, rob got us some pretty awesome basslines too..

  • Jason was perfect !! Cliff was supernatural and godlike ! And Rob is a big fucking Gorilla with no atittude. If Rob would have came to the auditions after Cliff died I bet James and Lars would have laughed treir asses out

  • This is incredible

  • jason wasnt bad but rob is awsome and so was cliff
