I don't care what people say but Jason ended for me with the 8th. The later ones had good killing scenes and well done Jasons but the movies where garbage.

@rickbattosai exactly. im a huge jason fan, but i really dislike part 9 and 10. part 10 is an okay comedy, but its a terrible scary movie. part 9, was bad because, well, you didn't see jason that much. for me, to be a good friday the 13th movie, you have to see mrs. voorhees or jason.

One of the best pieces Alice has ever sung. Song and movie came out in the height of the glam/metal period mid to late 80's. High schools were full of black metal t's, ripped jeans , long manes, mullets, and attitude. No period can compare.Too much multicultural BS going on now in America that time period will never come back again. It was great while it lasted. This song has groove and cool lyrics even though it's not gut wrenching metal.

As for part 8 I share your views mostly, but I had some fun with it. The end even after I listened with commentary was just terrible and the young Jason did look stupid and kept changing. He even looked Asian at one point! Jason never was a big tall guy yes, but they were just idiots. All things considered Ken knew what to do as he worked around Kane. They just had him doing stupid stuff. 9 was just terrible. 10 was also bad cause I've heard alot of idiots running their mouths that it's true.
If there's anything that annoys me is that people seem to start with FvsJ and assume they know everything after that. It's not likie they watched the series like the people who may have watched AvP did. And they never shut up after that. I'll admit I'm a little guilty of that., but I was finishing Jason's movies at the time. Then I watched Freddy's movies knowing it's the right thing to do before running my mouth. People just seem to watch 9-that though. That really kills me inside.
Seem your a Horror junkie like me very kool man. You should get the deluxe versions of Parts 1-3 They are great. And If you have a good home system the Part 3: 3-D is great. They give you two pairs of glasses for it as well.

See I'm more of the classic horrfan spanning from the earlyist stuff - 1931 frankenstein - the "QUOTE" modern classics like Friday the 13Th, A Nightmare, Halloween, Evil Dead, Night of the living dead, Texas chainsaw, An movies like that. Granted not scary or any thing but still great charictors. An I still like the stephen king stuff also.
No offense but ken is the worst one of all FVJ sucked cause of a lot of reasons. Jason looked like the handicapped kid you just feel sorry for any want to give a hug to. Freddy looked like crap he had splintered teeth an Freddy's never had splintered teeth. The director of FVJ should be bitch slapped an beaten to death for the crap he did. Jason's not some towering giant who kills an all this other crap they said they wanted Jason to be in FVJ. And worst of all was the water scene.
Well I can answer that a little. They wanted a newer Jason no one had seen but not new like in 9. More emotional. And really it wasn't Ken's fault. Kane is Jason sure, but Ken could have done even more if he wasn't doubled so much. That's also why the water thing came which did suckk. Still he seemed afraid of drowning in 8 and I think it's more a memory that Freddy took advantage of.
Friday the 13Th part 8 blew aswell I mean it had its good moments but the whole boy looking normal, the whole going from the lake to ny was just to much. And the movies that followed were shit as well. But my main problem as of now is they are getting people who are just to freakin tall. Jason was never some super tall killing machine. He was 6 3 and a half nothing more nothing less. So it just kinda bothers me.
I mean WTF is up with the Jason: Oh no I'm afraid of the water??? bullshit!!!. The new one is good but it does have its bullshit moments. Like with the ending it just seemed like it was put together wrong it seemed to me it was missing a scene inbetween showing his mask at the bottom of the lake an him jumping up through the doc after the guy an girl. But all around the new one is a good movie. Just wished Kane was Jason.
Kane is cool dude but let's just be a little fair for a second. Hee and Robert ARE Jason and Freddy. No doubt they could play their roles. But don't judge the other actors because the casting directors wouln't take them back. They are just doing their jobs and trying to keep Jason alive. The casting director and script are to blame. I try to give the actors a chance before I judge them. But yeah that little boy was annoying. 5 was kinda cool, but the actors just weren't as good.
And I don't hate ken just the way the made him so damn whimpy in FVJ I mean heel if thats the jason people had to face they'd laugh at him give him a hug or kick his ass instead him Jason kicking every one elses ass. Jason needs to be more real and dark and have the old style not the new style.
I know dude. It's important to note this though: Jason is a very tough angry dude even in FvsJ. But he has this sort of sad emotional side as well. They just tried to increase that and it jsut didn't work. I own every film with him except 9-10. I had some fun with FvsJ and the remake. Kane's great of course. But he couldn't save 9-10 from being disgraces to the series.

Ah yeah. I just have the From Crystal Lake to Manhattan set and the Freddy vs Jason dvd. Plus two 4 in 1 dvd's for Nightmare on Elm St. Those two are my favorite slashers.
I've got the best of the best Of horror. But strangely enough I do have FVJ the two disc version. I grew up on this stuff. My parnts went to a drive in movie theather to see Friday The 13Th Part 1. And my father workd for united artist theater so as a kid I got the chance to see the movies over and over And I guess thats where my love for the movie and it being played by Kane came from. But no matter what any one says Kane is Jason.
Most annoying of part 5 was the black kid who got on my damn nerves way to much. Then in His name was Jason: He talks more bullshit than any one. Talking about how he'd put on the red suit an kick Jason's ass again. Stupid fucker wasn't even in a Jason movie to begin with an he spent his time screaming not doing shit until Tommy killed off the impostor then the black kid wants to step in act all tough an take credit. honestly he acts like a typical black racist jack ass. Part 5 blew hard.
I'm going again to see the new movie. I liked it but still wish it was kanes jason. I'm a big kane fan. But its still good just wished kane was jason in it and I wished the chineese guy didn't get killed I kinda liked him he was kool.
Saw the remake today. Well atually it can't really be called a remake. It's something different than that. Very good film though. The only two I hated were Jason Goes To Hell and JAson X but I own and love every other Jason film. And I plan to buy that new one too. Great deaths and everything!

Way ahead of you. It's freakin awesome! It's amazing how much this series went through. Slaashers aren't scary to me, but they sure are fun. And Jason is probably the best known slasher. Everyone knows the hockey mask. It wasn't as succesful in the eyes of critics as Halloween, but the overall success is almost tied.
Well I have to say Kane too. However I also loved Ken Kirzinger, Ted White, and David Mears. Ken was in FvsJ and while knowing Kane could have done it (and seeing Ken thrown in part 8 in the bar) Ken did an awesome job and could have done more if he was allowed to do his own stunts. Ted I have to respect cause he really got into character in 4 by being anti social, and Mears was just good. I don't know what to say cause don't really know alot about him past the remake but still he was.

For me the only Jason there honestly is, is Kane. I mean the way he moves the way he just seems to fit that part so well. Granted the guys who played Jason before Kane was really good for those films but to be honest Kane is better. Kane is Jason.
freddy vs jason was AWESOME evryone needs to watch it im only 10 and i still could handle it cuz i was born with parents that loved em but i ohnly dont like the nude parts in the movies like the sex before the dude gets killed and the girl takes her shirt off to go take a dip in camp crystal lake.but still its FRIKKIN AWESOME i also made some cool vids iof me and my friends making horror films form when i found his old 07 halloween jason mask. Also I'm well aware of how he never possessed any one in Jason X and did in Jason Goes To Hell. I was refering to BOTH the changes New Line made after they bought him after Paramount made part 8. Yeah part 8 wasn't great either, but it went somewhere I guess. I just don't like what they did. His methods are still the same, but his powers just bugged me. And I never thought the kills in 9 and Jason X were great. The acid death scene was okay, but that's it. Most were off camera or just to plain.
Also I did like maybe one or two scenes in the Jason X film, but mostly it was just something you'd see on sci-fi. Jason could never regenerate tissue or possess people. Out of all the 3 films New Line made, Freddy vs Jason was the one I didn't hate. I'm not saying it was perfect, but it was just for fun and it wasn't changed in any extreme way and some scenes just worked. Again Friday the 13th isn't amazing, but it's fun and the new generation of kids should have some knowledge of it.

Furthermore remakes aren't always bad. Not as great as the originals, but they can be fun and good. This isn't an origin story, but it shows some of what he did in the first few films and more. They don't ruin the character, they reimagine the story. It's like the 2007 Halloween. It wasn't perfect, but it had it's moments. Remaking the character is not nearly as bad as letting the movies just stop. New generations are coming and we must keep Jason alive.

But hey Rob Zombie made a Halloween that was different as well and some of it worked. Not all by any means, but some. I never said anything that you think I did. No no I know the Halloween wasn't great or was saved by the review. I meant more on the message the guy sends in his review. I know Jason kills and that's fine. It's just not alot of his kills were on the level of other films. And I meant his new powers were the changes that didn't work. Kane Hodder is a great Jason. I just meant the story wasn't anything big. Yeah the stories in some of the other films sucked too, but Jason made them work. Jason didn't do anything big for me in that though.

If you like Jason X that's fine, but give some reason why you do. I just thought it looked way to sci-fi and that it was stupid how they pulled those changes out of nowhere. I don't mind certain changes, but not when they affect the character's entire profile. And the 2nd one was fine. He didn't have the mask and I loved the end of it. If you hate the bag, then don't watch the remake cause I heard it will be there for a bit.

I liked Jason X. The only one I didn't like was part 10, because it wasn't Jason enough for me and his bloated head didn't work for me at all. Part 5 was well, part 5 and for me, Part 7 was the best of the best. Reason, cause he fought a telekinetic that kicked his ass and it was the best fight I ever seen, Jason get(not even, Freddy) and it was 150% as out of place in a Jason movie as outspace is/was.
Umm part 10 actually was Jason X. That came after Jason Goes To Hell (part 9) and Freddy vs Jason came afterwards. I did like part 7 for the various weapons Jason used, and the look. I think the figth with Freddy was more matched though so I think that was technically more fun.
Well it was in a way. It was just two different kinds. The dream fight and the real world fight. Plus we had to develop the characters in a 90 minute movie so yeah they had to make time. I thought it balanced out. The Tina vs Jsaon thing in part 7 though, THAT was short.
Oy, I guess that is my point. The Tina fight was shorter, but alot more spectacular with effects and usage. The Freddy fight lacked pizazz. Jason being impaled multiple times by steel support rods was way kewl. But still the only part I really remember other than the hit with thewater tower or whatever it was.
Still loved it. But yeah, it was part 9 for me that sucked. Even part 8 was OK.
The remake looks great though. Can't wait. I almost gave up on New Line Cinema & Jason.
Well as vs movies go it looked great. As far as I see it was far better than Alien vs Predator or any Godzilla vs _ film. These guys had a real reason to fight and were the only slashers who could work. But yeah New Line finally might get Jason right. It doesn't have to be exactly right, I wouldn't mind some changes, but as long as the character's profile and methods aren't changed out of nowhere I'm perfectly fine!
Yep tht's his first look. However part 8 made him look waaaaaaaaaaaay less deformed. Picture a little kid with just a little deformed area around his eye. None of the ones after part 4 were like the first parts, but they were fun (not counting part 9 and Jason X)

Hey I have a question: I know Jason wears that mask to keep us from seeing his face, but wouldn't that look weird anyways? I mean it looks awesome on him, just wondering cause the only time it really worked was when he first used it in part 3 when that girl thought he was that one boy who wears alot of masks until he shot her with a harpoon. I guess it's to keep us wondering what he does look like throughout the film so his face'll just freak us out. But apart from that he's still makin a scene.

Well I can answer that a little. They wanted a newer Jason no one had seen but not new like in 9. More emotional. And really it wasn't Ken's fault. Kane is Jason sure, but Ken could have done even more if he wasn't doubled so much. That's also why the water thing came which did suckk. Still he seemed afraid of drowning in 8 and I think it's more a memory that Freddy took advantage of.

Friday the 13Th part 8 blew aswell I mean it had its good moments but the whole boy looking normal, the whole going from the lake to ny was just to much. And the movies that followed were shit as well. But my main problem as of now is they are getting people who are just to freakin tall. Jason was never some super tall killing machine. He was 6 3 and a half nothing more nothing less. So it just kinda bothers me.

I mean WTF is up with the Jason: Oh no I'm afraid of the water??? bullshit!!!. The new one is good but it does have its bullshit moments. Like with the ending it just seemed like it was put together wrong it seemed to me it was missing a scene inbetween showing his mask at the bottom of the lake an him jumping up through the doc after the guy an girl. But all around the new one is a good movie. Just wished Kane was Jason.

Kane is cool dude but let's just be a little fair for a second. Hee and Robert ARE Jason and Freddy. No doubt they could play their roles. But don't judge the other actors because the casting directors wouln't take them back. They are just doing their jobs and trying to keep Jason alive. The casting director and script are to blame. I try to give the actors a chance before I judge them. But yeah that little boy was annoying. 5 was kinda cool, but the actors just weren't as good.

I know dude. It's important to note this though: Jason is a very tough angry dude even in FvsJ. But he has this sort of sad emotional side as well. They just tried to increase that and it jsut didn't work. I own every film with him except 9-10. I had some fun with FvsJ and the remake. Kane's great of course. But he couldn't save 9-10 from being disgraces to the series.

I've got the best of the best Of horror. But strangely enough I do have FVJ the two disc version. I grew up on this stuff. My parnts went to a drive in movie theather to see Friday The 13Th Part 1. And my father workd for united artist theater so as a kid I got the chance to see the movies over and over And I guess thats where my love for the movie and it being played by Kane came from. But no matter what any one says Kane is Jason.

Saw the remake today. Well atually it can't really be called a remake. It's something different than that. Very good film though. The only two I hated were Jason Goes To Hell and JAson X but I own and love every other Jason film. And I plan to buy that new one too. Great deaths and everything!

Way ahead of you. It's freakin awesome! It's amazing how much this series went through. Slaashers aren't scary to me, but they sure are fun. And Jason is probably the best known slasher. Everyone knows the hockey mask. It wasn't as succesful in the eyes of critics as Halloween, but the overall success is almost tied.

Well I have to say Kane too. However I also loved Ken Kirzinger, Ted White, and David Mears. Ken was in FvsJ and while knowing Kane could have done it (and seeing Ken thrown in part 8 in the bar) Ken did an awesome job and could have done more if he was allowed to do his own stunts. Ted I have to respect cause he really got into character in 4 by being anti social, and Mears was just good. I don't know what to say cause don't really know alot about him past the remake but still he was.

For me the only Jason there honestly is, is Kane. I mean the way he moves the way he just seems to fit that part so well. Granted the guys who played Jason before Kane was really good for those films but to be honest Kane is better. Kane is Jason.

Also I'm well aware of how he never possessed any one in Jason X and did in Jason Goes To Hell. I was refering to BOTH the changes New Line made after they bought him after Paramount made part 8. Yeah part 8 wasn't great either, but it went somewhere I guess. I just don't like what they did. His methods are still the same, but his powers just bugged me. And I never thought the kills in 9 and Jason X were great. The acid death scene was okay, but that's it. Most were off camera or just to plain.

Also I did like maybe one or two scenes in the Jason X film, but mostly it was just something you'd see on sci-fi. Jason could never regenerate tissue or possess people. Out of all the 3 films New Line made, Freddy vs Jason was the one I didn't hate. I'm not saying it was perfect, but it was just for fun and it wasn't changed in any extreme way and some scenes just worked. Again Friday the 13th isn't amazing, but it's fun and the new generation of kids should have some knowledge of it.

Furthermore remakes aren't always bad. Not as great as the originals, but they can be fun and good. This isn't an origin story, but it shows some of what he did in the first few films and more. They don't ruin the character, they reimagine the story. It's like the 2007 Halloween. It wasn't perfect, but it had it's moments. Remaking the character is not nearly as bad as letting the movies just stop. New generations are coming and we must keep Jason alive.

But hey Rob Zombie made a Halloween that was different as well and some of it worked. Not all by any means, but some. I never said anything that you think I did. No no I know the Halloween wasn't great or was saved by the review. I meant more on the message the guy sends in his review. I know Jason kills and that's fine. It's just not alot of his kills were on the level of other films. And I meant his new powers were the changes that didn't work. Kane Hodder is a great Jason. I just meant the story wasn't anything big. Yeah the stories in some of the other films sucked too, but Jason made them work. Jason didn't do anything big for me in that though.

If you like Jason X that's fine, but give some reason why you do. I just thought it looked way to sci-fi and that it was stupid how they pulled those changes out of nowhere. I don't mind certain changes, but not when they affect the character's entire profile. And the 2nd one was fine. He didn't have the mask and I loved the end of it. If you hate the bag, then don't watch the remake cause I heard it will be there for a bit.

I liked Jason X. The only one I didn't like was part 10, because it wasn't Jason enough for me and his bloated head didn't work for me at all. Part 5 was well, part 5 and for me, Part 7 was the best of the best. Reason, cause he fought a telekinetic that kicked his ass and it was the best fight I ever seen, Jason get(not even, Freddy) and it was 150% as out of place in a Jason movie as outspace is/was.

Umm part 10 actually was Jason X. That came after Jason Goes To Hell (part 9) and Freddy vs Jason came afterwards. I did like part 7 for the various weapons Jason used, and the look. I think the figth with Freddy was more matched though so I think that was technically more fun.

Well it was in a way. It was just two different kinds. The dream fight and the real world fight. Plus we had to develop the characters in a 90 minute movie so yeah they had to make time. I thought it balanced out. The Tina vs Jsaon thing in part 7 though, THAT was short.

Oy, I guess that is my point. The Tina fight was shorter, but alot more spectacular with effects and usage. The Freddy fight lacked pizazz. Jason being impaled multiple times by steel support rods was way kewl. But still the only part I really remember other than the hit with thewater tower or whatever it was.
Still loved it. But yeah, it was part 9 for me that sucked. Even part 8 was OK.
The remake looks great though. Can't wait. I almost gave up on New Line Cinema & Jason.

Well as vs movies go it looked great. As far as I see it was far better than Alien vs Predator or any Godzilla vs _ film. These guys had a real reason to fight and were the only slashers who could work. But yeah New Line finally might get Jason right. It doesn't have to be exactly right, I wouldn't mind some changes, but as long as the character's profile and methods aren't changed out of nowhere I'm perfectly fine!

Yep tht's his first look. However part 8 made him look waaaaaaaaaaaay less deformed. Picture a little kid with just a little deformed area around his eye. None of the ones after part 4 were like the first parts, but they were fun (not counting part 9 and Jason X)

Hey I have a question: I know Jason wears that mask to keep us from seeing his face, but wouldn't that look weird anyways? I mean it looks awesome on him, just wondering cause the only time it really worked was when he first used it in part 3 when that girl thought he was that one boy who wears alot of masks until he shot her with a harpoon. I guess it's to keep us wondering what he does look like throughout the film so his face'll just freak us out. But apart from that he's still makin a scene.
