@ppqq66 the Tiger was actually stronger than almost every enemy tank in WW2, NOT ONLY SHERMANS.

also the Panther, Panzer IV G, Jagdpanther, Stug.... all of them were better than a weak Sherman. nothing special about it... and the Tiger II was the strongest tank of all in WW2.

131 is an impressive piece of kit, though small against a challenger 2 MBT (modern British main battle tank) it dwarfs the allied tanks of WW2 (Sherman, Crusader, churchill etc). I have been VERY priviliged to have both been inside her, worked on her and also has a short ride in her (all of 20 feet, but best 20 feet of my life!)

How tall was the Russian T-34? Similiar size?

The T-34 is roughly the same as a T-55 (it is ever so slightly longer and taller than the T-55 but is slightly shorter), in weight it is nearly 15 tonnes LIGHTER than the T-55 having thinner armour and a less powerful engine.

That Maybach V-12 is purring like a kitten. On some older vids, it sounds like it was backfiring and making popping sounds.

The Maybach was fixed to run correctly when the tiger was running in this video, previously it had been running incorrectly set up after the original restored engine had the con-rods blown out the side of the engine (i've seen the damaged ones... heck of a mess!)
