I don't care about the "Holy shit" part, but "Everybody you watch's got his brains in his crotch" is a far funnier line than "Every guy is a snot, every girl is a twat." I think it was Fosse who mad them re-write the line, but regardless of vulgarity, the replacement they wrote is simply funnier than the vulgar original. (And I'm usually all for vulgarity in any form!)
I love this song so much! Such incredible harmonies, singing such filthy words :) I love how two crooks with dirty mouths can sing about others not having class and I can believe them :)
And why did they change the ending? The best line in the song: "Every guy that you watch got his brains in his crotch" Gone. Why does Hollywood have to fix what ain't broken?
"The song "Class" was filmed but not used because it could not fit into the "show-within-Roxie's-mind" concept. It is included as an extra on the DVD release." -IMDB

This is brilliant. Next somebody should come up with a song explaining that you don't have to be rich to have manners or money to be polite. A lot of people seem to asociate class with being Posh rather than just good manners.
The song likely wasn't in the movie because of it's more traditional musical presentation into the story, unlike all the other songs which are presented as Vaudville shows in Roxie's imagination, Roxie has no reason to imagine this occurring and even knew they were discussing this (as it's subject matter suggests this song would appear in the scene when Velma and Morton are listening to the broadcast of Roxie's trial).
I think it wasn't in the movie because it would have given the movie an "R".
This is a great number though. I remember getting the soundtrack to the movie back when it came out and wondering if I had heard this song in the film.
My high school's doing Chicago, and I'm Mama, but we aren't singing Class. It's a shame, it's a great song.

I love the irony in this.
But I think it would be better if Catherine Zeta Jones was less brash.
