I heard Anthony Rapp in person talking about Larson at my school. There's also an entire feature-length documentary about him on the RENT dvd. He had many friends with AIDS who were the inspiration for RENT but didn't have it himself.

refusing to hug a stranger or sign autographs is NOT mean. it isn't in their contract to do all that at the stage door and don't be surprised if an actor just replies "no". they are exhausted and drained after a show and just want to go home. if they agree then you are very lucky.
I assume you meant "wouldn't." When you're a star and have fans, you're obligated to be friendly to them. Idina's very talented, but it's her fans that are responsible for her successful career. If no one likes you or buys tickets to anything you're in, you have no career.
I think it was filmed during or shortly after they shot RENT b/c I think the whold cast did one of these together. I don't remember where I found it though.
