Very good review.. keep going because I actually watched your whole review because you brought up some great points and I like your quotes from the episode.
The only qualms I had were- the scale of some of the mock up paintings were off- which isnt so important. Why did the monster have to resemble a chicken? Also why in 1890 (or other episodes set in the past for that matter) did no one react to Amy's clothes? -wearing a short skirt, her hair down/wind blown, and an over coat that wouldnt likely be worn by women in that era. Id like to see The Doctor and companions dressing to fit in where they can as they did in some classic episodes.
Very well written episode for Dr. Who- sensitivity to detail and the characters emotions. It hit me on a personal level- I am an artist and many of my peers are- and I am a fan of Van Gogh. Many people struggle in life. I've dealt with depression, tried to help others where I can. I've lost people who've died through careless behavior or suicide in recent years. So I cried along with Vincent at the end- and shared Amy's frustration that someone like him couldn't be saved despite their efforts.
I thought th episode was fantastically done although the end could have been a bit more subtle.
few things you might want to do if you want to improve your number of viewers. your content is good, very good infact. you offer alot that I've not seen many other reviewers offer. My only problem with this video is that it really should be cut and edited better. I reccomend keeping your reviews shorter and editing out the bad stuff rather than filming in one go. I subbed
@thatguywhopwns thanks very much for the kind words. Believe it or not, I used to be a media student but haven't worked out how to edit clips using digital tech. I tried just to do it in one take and it was as I said a straight take from my blog. I'll take what you said on board and give it some thought next time. :-)
