  • THX SO MUCH....

    *SIGH*

...little tears are running by in remembering

one of the finest games on an way-giving home computer....

    AMIGA LIVES FOREVER

  • Such epic memories...

  • aaawwww sweet memories

  • @wadeuss Totally agree although i must say God of war has easily had one of the most memorable scores of any game in a long long time.

  • The song "Eclipse" from the neoclassical band Elend sounds a bit like this in parts. Although it's far from a total ripoff that Dimmu did.

  • @oOharoneOo...when they had the machines we now have? who knows..maybe Bach and Schubert would have made minimal techno in those days ;-)

  • Pfff mozart will never do something like this :)

  • @oOharoneOo No, because he is dead.

  • long live CoLD SToRaGE

  • wats the wrong note that everyone keeps talkin about that dimmu also copied?

  • Shivers!

    Epic memories earing this masterpiece!

  • I don't care what anyone says... whether they stole it or covered it without permission, Dimmu's version is better. Less of that 80's game vibe and more of a simplistic dark feel in their version. They did a good thing by including it on their album, even though I can see how it wasn't creative and a real dick sort of move... I just like their rendition. Props to the composer though, it's a really nice arrangement.

  • @JesusRottingChrist yeah, they could at least said it was a cover.but of course, the sound quality of dimmu's version is much better, even though stormblast is an "underproduced" album.

  • @JesusRottingChrist Keep in mind that the original song had to be compressed into a midi, that'll never sound as good as a real piano, I like both versions though.

  • per me rimane una delle colonne sonore piu' belle mai realizzate e poi e carica di significato in quanto l'autore Tim Wright la dedico' alla madre scomparsa da poco.

    MAGNIFICA!!!!

  • forgot about this track. back then i used action replay software to rip the module and that sweet piano sample. really nice at the time.......

  • very good songwriting dude, but i must admit that I prefere the dark atmosphere in Sorgens Kammer.

  • At least they stole a good soundtrack. They still made it sound awesome.

  • Maybe it's just influenced... :/ Not really stolen!

  • I'm shocked. Why did Dimmu Borgir a soundtrack stolen from a video game?

  • Maybe Dimmu Borgir didn't rip this, just maybe....maybe

  • Dimmu ripped it off by accident though.

  • Its kinda interesting that you guys seem to compair this to Dimmu Borgir's work but really you need to look back a whole lot further to Magnum's Sacred Hour which is the where the 'inspiration' for both came from, for my money Mark Stanway's work on Sacred Hour is better than both that followed....

  • I remember 1:23 - 1:42 brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it.

  • @antimonius199

ure retarded or to young to remember the power of amiga

  • My god this is beautiful.

  • I respect Tim Wright for writing this music. It is so deep and beautiful. But I like Dimmu Borgir to.

Respect for the old true song. And forget the new shit business !

  • Just played Agony on my old Amiga 600 and idd, the intro music is a blast. SHAME Dimmu! eheh, still nice song tough.

  • I like Dimmu's version more than this. That version is kinda minimalistic.

  • @Steilhandgranate

don't forget that amiga 500 got ONLY 512kb of ram, 4 sound chanels (2 left, 2 right) and CPU 7,16mhz

  • today games is very generic and without soul and personality except few like god of war and halo.also the music of today games and the art is fucking shit without imagination, they have all this power and the only thing they do is to replicate reality, its so difficult to understand the mind of gamers we play and we want to see something out of this shit world assholes.look the art of the shadow of the beast and learn from this suckers.

  • @MetatroN197924 agree man but there are some games thta are not shit such as u said halo 1 and 2 halo 3 was meh hehehe have u played blue dragon? its a pretty good game with a good story line music i have found a lot of games that just plain suck no matter how good the graphics r if the game has no good story line no good music its not worth playing or the god damn 50 bucks they cost

  • where can i find this game ?

  • @wadeuss Halo was pretty much the last game that has a recognizable theme, even though it started sucking after 2 :/

  • I use Agony as my name in online games, and the logo as a spray in source engine games, so don't think I don't love this game and it's music. But seriously, look up the themes for the battlefield Series or even Halo. You'll be humming them all week.

  • DEFINATLY better than theirs! :)

  • its good that dimmu borgir stole songs liethis otherwise i woud never hearof them. BTW this version is way better than dimmu borgir's sorgens kammer.

  • I finally managed to buy an original copy of Agony the other day, those things are hard to find!

  • Get the WinUAE emulator and disk images for the game and you can play it on your PC

  • I love this song, it's so melancholic. Does anyone know where I can find sheet music for it?

  • @Ladyluck229 just get on your piano, and while listening to the song, try and play. learn by ear

  • It's so melancholic, yet so beautiful... I love it

  • I just learned Dimmu Borgir ripped this off, haha. I like this better.

  • Just now ? xD

Better late than never I guess!

  • Lol, Dimmu have ripped off loads, Magnum's Sacred Hour for instance, and it's a shame that Dimmu's songs are more well known than the likes of this and Sacred Hour..cos these are both infinitely better than anything Dimmu's ever made while they had that particular keyboardist.

  • @DeimosFacility Hail mustis ? XD

  • @TheRusank Stian Aarstad

  • actually the keyboardist they had at that time, stian aarstad, actually used this melody as well as the intro of the song "one sacred hour" by british band magnum in the first song of their album "stormblast"...but the other band members didnt know hahaha so in the re-recorded version they replaced the 96 version of sorgens kammer with a new song with the title sorgens kammer del II

  • @jmatts78 Not Dimmu, the Band didn't know that they then keyboard player, Stian Aarstad ripped off this musical piece, and it's a shame cuz I like Sorgens Kammer a lot! I listened to Sorgens Kammer first than this Agony theme.

  • @jmatts78 i like to think of it more as a cover to this original theme.

  • for me this is one of the best composition of all time...

  • precious

  • Love the Intro!!!

  • *looks around* Why aren't there any comments here?

The game wasn't one of my favorites, but the theme was incredibly well made.
