Thanks for posting this great Bruce Springsteen classic. The sheet music for Roy Bittan's wonderful piano part on "Because the Night" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.
Nils started out on an accordian and mastered that at the age of 15, then went on to master the piano and by 19 played guitar and ended up with Neil Young and Crazy Hourse playing piano and countless others and his own career! To hear him and see him you would think the quitar was his lifes past... but certainly was his future!
I saw them in Philly on this tour, because they did not come to Arizona which is where I live. Amazing how Nils was still moving and doing flips on this tour with two bad hips, bone on bone during the tour. Nils just had a bilataral hip replacement.
gotta love this. bruce and nils have known each other since they auditioned at the Filmore West in 1969 on the same night. here they are almost forty years later rockin' out like there's no tomorrow. so cool... watching this solo is no less than watching great rock and roll history being made. awesome...
Vraiment excellent ,ça doit être vraiment génial de savoir jouer de cette façon !!! Merci NILS

Nils solo was by some way the highlight of he Springsteen gig I saw in Dublin last summer; he just nailed it. Wish he had done more.

He was the lead singer and writer for "Grin" before Neil and the Horse...if you ever get a chance to see him on his own...well it's unbelievable..

@norwayfinland That's why they already played together on stage.
Knopfler invited him on stage, you can found it easily on youtube.
