Nekojiru series is awesome too. At least, Nekojiru Jirujru was created by Nekojiru, but Nekojiru Soup was created in a memory of her death. I love Nekojiru, she was an amazing person. It's too bad that she is dead.

If your just pondering why the movie is different from the show or other general background information its a perfectly fine place to go for information. Or if someone is tired of heaing "Derp dis isnt leik teh movie! Wrrryyy??!!" Its a lot easier to say "google/wiki dat shit" then, "heres a link to several scholarly articles on the matter. Read them. There will be a quiz"

@slade535 I know you made this comment a year ago, but this was Nekojiru's last work. She was Sato's wife. Sato, made Cat soup after her suicide for obvious reasons. & since this is loosely based of her childhood & life. I conclude that they have a lot to with each other.

the wikipedia says nekojiru's husband was yamano hajime, sato wasn't mentioned at all. Unless sato is a pseudonym for yamano.
