  • A wonderful compilation..

the music is beautiful, and makes for a rather emotional trip down memory lane.

Those 125's look so graceful at speed filmed from a distance..

thanks for your upload - i enjoyed it very much ;-)

  • Hi there again mate - info. on the crossing from 1:30 to 1:35 - it's Causeway Crossing, Steventon, Oxon.

  • ok cheers

  • Deltics, HSTs, an A4, Princess class (I think)...lovely indeed.

  • Any info. about the music? It's great, but Ican't think of what it's called LOL.

  • le onde

  • Thanks!

  • Great video! Unlike you, mappman, the BR era was very much mine - I was born in 1980 and can remember as a boy photgraphing the London trains at my local station (Norwich Thorpe) being headed by 25 kv AC overhead electric locos after BR electrified the London Liverpool Street to Norwich Thorpe line (ex-Great Eastern main line).

  • PPS - I now see that you film on that line, so I need not have said so much about it!

  • yh I film regularly on the Great Eastern Main Line and It's good

  • Trouble is NXEA have brought the line into disrepute. I have photos I took at Thorpe station when I was 7 years of age just after they installed the catenary - during the Intercity era. Aahhh, memories...

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • thanks!

  • br the best of times 50s 43s (with valentas) loco haulded services nse loads and it was wonderful great video!

  • thanks

  • A great tribute to the best era in the Railway industry. I wish it never went away :(

  • thanks, I feel exactly the same, although I was never around really as I was born in 1993 at the demise of br

  • BTW, the music you've used is familiar and utterly beautiful, but I can't think of what it's called or who is performing it. It might be nice for you to credit the music either at the end of video or in the info section.

  • interesting

  • thanks
