  • I love Jason Evert, he's so gentle in explaining everything, so beautifully, i wish i'd heard about him and his books, as well as his wife's, but Crystallina Evert said "it's never too late"

  • pros? it sucks cons? it sucks even more

  • Okay...so because I couldnt bring myself to read the other books because the first one was god-awful, but what I got out of Edward was he ignored Bella when they first met, he was rough toward her (growling and slamming her against walls), and he watched her while she slept outside without her knowing (which would get you arrested any other time). Call me crazy if I say edward isnt my type...

  • Iv gone to one of this guys speeches! He is HILARIOUS!! And he makes so much sense when he talks to kids!

  • that is what i hated about the twilight books. bella's obsessive love. she got all depressed and wanted to die without him. also the fact that she was SO willing to give up her soul for him. ugh. that is why i liked twilight but hated the last three books.

  • he glitters, which is peculiar... and he could bite you. which is a problem... LOL

  • HAHAHA "there is no black magic or white magic... it's all black" HAHAHAHA or there isn't any magic other than David Blane :)

If you haven't read them then you cannot speak at all about them. They are nothing more than a teenage love drama with supernatural characters; EVEN BELLA. DUMB!

  • hahahaha the only reason that edward wont have sex with bella is because he is scared he will kill her.

  • Harry Potter is better anyway. There is real love and friendship in those novels.

Although, "Bella needs to find a life." haha, amen.

  • I LOVE 7:20-7:50 "If you want to jump into a relationship, jump into a relationship with God."

  • I don't see how these differ than any other teen novel-break ups, crying, drama... that is why they read them. Its drama. That's it. Stephanie Meyers may not be a great writer but she is a great storyteller. What I believe we have now is a generation of women who grow up without worthy men in their lives;no fathers, mothers in and out of relationships. If girls are becoming obsessed with Edward, it's because of a lack of real life worthy male role models. That is the REAL problem.

  • The books and movies are enjoyable. That's all. I don't think he is in a position to comment on them without reading or viewing them. They don't "prey" into anything other than to entertain-and happily in the context where self-control is celebrated. Occult? Really? Catholics celebrate Halloween, watch The Wizard of Oz, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter - all tapping into some kind of aspect of the "occult." I would take him more seriously as a speaker if were practice more integrity.

  • @chilemamita The books and movies may only entertain you, but the majority of these little girls or adult women live and die by edward, its insane. It only shows self control in the part of edward not Bella, I bet you read the second book, yeah not the way to handle a break up. Also Evert stated that we can't knock supernatural books for superficial reasons,i suppose he just wants us to be aware of the dangers of the occult if a person is partaking in it.

  • if only people read the bible like they read the twilight books... the world would be such a better place.

  • Beautifully said. This man is smart! I like him. SUBBED!

  • I just love hearing jason talk. He's so intelligent

  • "guys shouldn't bite girls..." how about, "people shouldn't bite people"

  • @delightfulcheesecake how bout TAKE A JOKE . Are u actually paying attention to what's being said? and YES women look for partners - thats what hes saying and YES they do look for a protective element in a man, EVERYONE looks for a protective element in their significant other . It seems like you're just unhappy that they're talking about Twilight .

  • @845world how about YOU listen to what is being said about women, and the double standards this guy is coming up with. I don't give two figs about twilight but jason evert came to my school twice while i was still in high school and every single one of his messages was misogynistic bullshit.

  • @delightfulcheesecake What double standards ? And what is so misogynistic about encouraging a woman to cover up to better her chances in falling in love only because the male mind set is so much more visual than they know? . He plays both sides perfectly, trust me i was a huge skeptic, but it all just MAKES SENSE. I just don't see where your coming from, give me examples ?

  • @delightfulcheesecake Woahwoahwoah, ummmm I think we're missing the real problem about this "biting" issue...... me and my boyfriend are big fans of biting<3

  • "surrounded by monsters" are you serious? girls look for partners, mr. evert they do NOT look for "protectors." Twilight is bullshit.

  • Sexist.

  • @delightfulcheesecake Nope not sexist at all. Some girls like having a guy to protect them and some don't but he is not sexist. If you think about it though Twilight is a rather sexist book as she can't rely on anyone else but Edward. So Jason is merely talking about his opinion as to why girl's like it and sorry to say umm girl's do like it because of that. I wasn't one of them but hey a lot of people are. Also if you don't like him so much why are you even posting?

  • i met him last week, the clips dont do him justice he is so unbelievably beautiful. Changed my life :) thank you jason <3

  • I never took the series that serious, but I understand the argument. If anything, every girl should know they deserve a man who is chivalrous that is sincere and should put themselves on a pedestal. But a guy who also has a pulse. ; ] But come on, we girls aren't that stupid to believe in the idea of Edward and Bella.

  • Jason spoke at my school today :) God gave him a gift, and he almost made me cry :')

  • Can't stop laughing at how old fashioned he is in his view of girls, some women are very independent and in your face and treat men like dirt and don't need a man to save them.

  • @jasiekel86 umm rather be old fashioned than following the world's view of me needing to screw every tom, dick, and harry out there. I deserve Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @OneGirlRevolution100 Spare me the lecture!

  • just came back from one of his talks. This guy is amazing to see up close. I advise you to go to his seminars anytime he's in the area. He's incredible, his words never left my head.

  • Values education teachers should learn from Evert and co

  • I think people need to realize that this is FICTION and not real life, nor are any of the characters or situations real i.e. they're vampires and werewolves!

  • @ElMa1788 HELLO EVERYONE... THEY ARE NOT WEREWOLVES!!!!!!!! They are shape-shifters that take the shape of wolves. NOT THE SAME... IN ANY CAPACITY!

  • You want chivalry? Read Austen.

  • @lagim214

That's exactly what I was thinking...

  • "Bella needs to get a life." lol

  • Very good analysis of Twilight. My daughters are just 10 and 8 and fortunately they have not watched the movie or read the book. But at least I know now how to explain the book/movie to them in the future.

  • @nallimixam Don't have them read it. Bella is a real Bitch the entire story. She puts others in harm's way on many occasions for her selfish reasons. Then she drags Jacob along because he is in love with here so she uses him for whatever she wants. Honestly the only reason why Edward wants her so bad is because she has special powers too... he cannot read her mind which hello both guys and girls want what they can't have. He just apparently is the nicest vampire ever.

  • This video is amazing and sooo right! He talked at my school yesterday and he is just awesome.

  • Jason spoke at my school today :D

  • I've read first three Twilight books and read part of the fourth one. I agree that Bella needs to find a life outside of Edward and not be co-dependent on him. There are other problems as well. Edward sometimes forces Bella to do stuff that she doesn't want to do, not sexual though. He also bribes his adoptive sister to hold her hostage while he is away.

Edward literally almost kills himself when he is not with Bella. They don't have sex, but intentionally arouse each other.

  • That film needs new actors as well

  • @SpetsnazChaplain157 i totally agree with that!

  • Absolutely wonderful. You hit it spot on. You should at least read the first novel. As a Catholic YM, I read all 4 to see what the deal was. It's not a huge literary work of genius, but simply a feeding frenzy of what girls are starved for- like you say. You'll probably be scandalized but, there are other things that are wrong with this book: Edward watches Bella sleep and sneaks around behind her father's back. You lose credibility talking about it and not having read it. God Love Ya!!!!!

  • Jason came to my school last friday, and he was such an inspiration. I can't get what he said out of my head. It was simply amazing.

  • @Lickamum He came to my school last week and what he said really affected me.

  • Bella really does need a life and some self confidence.

  • Jason spoke at my school today :)

  • Good analysis. I didn't read the book and I never knew what were the reasons of such a success... Now I comprehend where is the key. Thank you.

  • Trouble's the bill is getting popular, which is sooo sad. Your prayers, please, and to the others who will be reading this comment. Let's pray together! Communion of saitns! :D

  • Hi, Jason Evert! I'm from the Philippines, and I'd like to ask for your prayers. There's this congressional bill that's pushing for the distribution of contraceptives in my country. Basically, the Reproductive Health Bill is for population control. I know the usage of contraceptives is wrong, and the Catholic Church here has been fighting against the bill since the 1970's (I think).

  • Jason Evert speaks beautifully. He's very gentle in regards to not judging past mistakes and pushing us in the right direction. What a beautiful man. Look up Chris Stefanick as well. He's an amazing Youth Speaker.

  • @aliciaanne Jason's senitivity and lack of roughness is so unappealing. Feminine quilities are more appealing in some men more then others, I prefer men who are not praticularly religous. However I still do believe in God. People need to understand why more women go to chruch than men. This is a joke

  • @CES888100 Listen you are obviously very naive, you say your prefer men who aren't particularly religious and there is a reason more women go to Church than men. The reason for this is because men and i admit do not wanna live up to manhood and instead lead a less moral lifestyle based on their selfishness, i used to be like this. Tell me is that masculine or manly, is that rough enough for you. You obviously do not understand what make's a man a man and won't until you experience a selfish man

  • @Paddy234 Do believe that women are better at the physical labor of childrearing because they're naterally more nuturing then men?

  • @CES888100 All woman are created to be mother's physically and/or spiritually. It is part of her femininity. We both are different and these differences compliment each other. A man is to be masculine and a woman feminine, the problem is that some people believe that men and women are interchangeable and this is not true. I thought this video make's a good point in what women want in men. As a Catholic i believe the truth on what make's a man a man and woman a woman is basedon Christian ideology

  • @Paddy234 to me that answer doesn't that you believe you're incapable of doing so nor that women that women are better at it. How come it is acceptible for men to take care of real babies and you can not give a baby doll to a little boy or it often is taken away. Both left and right politically fight for Father's rights. I still believe that secular men are ridculed for express sensitivity if they are not Christian. That does not make them Pussys or Fag. I believe what I want.

  • @CES888100 I never once implied that men were incapable of doing it. My point was that motherhood is in woman's very nature. and is part of her femininity. Your point about the baby doll only proves this, young girl's nurturing nature is expressed even in such a young age, her feeling of contentment in such a desire. I do support Father's right of course but that is not what this is about. What this is about is you implying Christian men as too sensitive when in my fact they are more masculine
