To tell you the truth, T3 was more enjoyable, considering how much of a flop some people say it was... I went and saw it 3 times in cinema, and I don't intend watching this again at all... disappointing!!!

Nearly all of the lines delivered by The Joker were different in the trailer than they were in the actual movie. And unfortunately, they were better in the trailer. "Here's my card" "I mean, what happened...?" "Let's put a smile..." etc. etc., all better in the trailer. Now you tell me there was no T-100 like there is in this trailer.

I seriously doubt it will end like that. One because with this film the director already stated they were going for starting a new trilogy based on the war. Kyle reese was sent back after they destroyed skynet. Skynet sent the terminators back in time to try and prevent losing the war.This film is based roughly ten years before skynet is destroyed. last time I checked part of the reason the first two films were classics was because of the R rating, Not only did Cameron have Arnold, it was pretty much at his discretion what kind of action he wanted to use in the movie. That rug has been snatched out from under the director of this film, hopefully it will turn out to just be a rumor after all. I'd hate to have to wait for an "UNRATED" version of this dvd to come to shelves with a bunch of cut scenes due to the rating factor.

we dont really know why, the t3 terminator killed john there may have been a justified reason ie: captured so had to be killed to prevent vital intel being recovered by skynet, mortally wounded in combat and put out of misery. the definition of termination is diffrent for terminaters than humans, judgement day had been delayed so long the war might have taken a totally new alt timeline rather than a slightly diffrent one.

Ok i shall firstly thank you for your reply. Its nice occasionaly to get a decent reply from someone that is an actual reply and not just insults/swearing. I know how he was in those films, and yes he does have a broad range. Having bale in it won't stop me going to see the film, and i will probably end up loving it like the previous terminator films. Its just for me they could have picked someone different to be connor. He'll still be great, but i just think he's not rugged enough.

Actually he did. He was nominated for an oscar, when he did "Heavenly Creatures." So he was already consider to be a good director, before he made it big with "Lord of the Rings."

the story looks somewhat promising, but I'm going to see it for the story and character's rather than just go see for Christian Bale cause he plays Batman.
So glad they are making this movie. I think if they ended at 2 it would have been sufficiently wrapped up. But when they made 3 they showed that Judgement Day did happen and the war ensued. So they had to make this movie to really end the series. Although I heard this is only the beginning of the war.
If it will be a dark, postnuclear movie WITHOUT showing off with "oh look, how great our tech guys are, they can make 40+ terminators NEVER SEEN before" it CAN be a good movie. If it will feature plenty of unnecessary cyborgs (like the one, appearing behind bale in the teaser) runnin' around with miniguns and trashing whats left of the world, it will be a sucker. Terminators are (or where in James Cameron's mind) elite killing units, not mass armies. Directos advised to watch T1 & T2..
You know what's great about this? It's GRITTY. It's REALISTIC. It's BALE. Fuck me sideways and count me in. Fuck the third film. Give the TV show a chance. Over and out.
Rebelusx --> Bale has "signed on" for three movies... meaning that if this one does well enough and they decide to make more, he is committed to the role of John Connor. It's no guarantee, but I'm hopeful.

well its dark, disturbing, and it looks like it's got amazin visuals, like that strikin scene wit the parachuter on the pylon. it could even be better than T2 judgement day, but i doubt it. nothin beats that good old shape shifting, blade making, liquid metal worm. but i gotta admit i still feel christian bales has been type cast to the batman, so it dosent make it as beleivable. they should have got someone completly new and who could make a name for themselves.

No Kyle Reese is Johns father and Derek Reese is his uncle. However the show isn't really all that great I just watch it for summer glau. However this movie looks great I mean they've got Christian Bale (batman), Johnathan Noland (a writer of The dark knight), and of course James Cameron is helping to produce the movie look it up on imdb.
We need some cool and bad-ass villans. Proper villans, evil and fuked in the head. The guy from the 3rd Rock From The Sun Joseph Gordon-Levitt will follow in Heath Ledger footsteps playing Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe can move him up. There will be some good stuff coming from Levitt. I will save everything i predict and prove that prophesy is just logic. It's just thinking about something hard enough and you will have your answers. If you have any questions then ask them now.
This movie kind of sucked...but oh well. Nice lead-on to the others, I guess...

Yeah the movies to book translation pretty much confused the hell out of alot of people, because in the books john never actually dies in the future, i suppose for us its unknown if they will follow the future T3 set up, or take the other road and follow the future the books set up.

Did i say he was a bad actor? Don't think so; He was amazing in Equilibrium and the Batman films. What i sed was that he's not right for this film. He's just not right for playing connor. Batman yes. Connor no.

LiquescentShadow --> Give Bale a chance, he has a broad range. If you haven't, I suggest you watch American Psycho and The Machinist. I'm quite interested in seeing where he will take the role of John Connor. You could be right, but why knock it until you see it?

Ok i shall firstly thank you for your reply. Its nice occasionaly to get a decent reply from someone that is an actual reply and not just insults/swearing. I know how he was in those films, and yes he does have a broad range. Having bale in it won't stop me going to see the film, and i will probably end up loving it like the previous terminator films. Its just for me they could have picked someone different to be connor. He'll still be great, but i just think he's not rugged enough.

If we ever get to see the scene in wich Reese goes back in time, i guess Connor will burst into tears shortly after he went trough. "I killed him.I just had to do it.And he never even knew." Yeah, lots of potential this movie has.

As I said the rumor could be totally bogus but John Connor is human in the begining obviously but is killed by the T101 version that looks like Arnold in the end and supposably his skin is taxidermied to the other terminator Marcus.
I'm hoping it's not true I hope John Connor is almost dead and they have to make him half machine to survive, that would be much better.

Actually he did. He was nominated for an oscar, when he did "Heavenly Creatures." So he was already consider to be a good director, before he made it big with "Lord of the Rings."

because chances are hes gonna make sure that he does a good job. a directer thats already well known can slack off and it wont matter as much if it fails but a up and comer might give it their all to make an awsome movie. and ya peter jackson wasnt to good till lotr came out.

So glad they are making this movie. I think if they ended at 2 it would have been sufficiently wrapped up. But when they made 3 they showed that Judgement Day did happen and the war ensued. So they had to make this movie to really end the series. Although I heard this is only the beginning of the war.

If it will be a dark, postnuclear movie WITHOUT showing off with "oh look, how great our tech guys are, they can make 40+ terminators NEVER SEEN before" it CAN be a good movie. If it will feature plenty of unnecessary cyborgs (like the one, appearing behind bale in the teaser) runnin' around with miniguns and trashing whats left of the world, it will be a sucker. Terminators are (or where in James Cameron's mind) elite killing units, not mass armies. Directos advised to watch T1 & T2..

well its dark, disturbing, and it looks like it's got amazin visuals, like that strikin scene wit the parachuter on the pylon. it could even be better than T2 judgement day, but i doubt it. nothin beats that good old shape shifting, blade making, liquid metal worm. but i gotta admit i still feel christian bales has been type cast to the batman, so it dosent make it as beleivable. they should have got someone completly new and who could make a name for themselves.

No Kyle Reese is Johns father and Derek Reese is his uncle. However the show isn't really all that great I just watch it for summer glau. However this movie looks great I mean they've got Christian Bale (batman), Johnathan Noland (a writer of The dark knight), and of course James Cameron is helping to produce the movie look it up on imdb.
