  • That was really easy to understand but I get reply near to the end and I usually end up with two sides complete and with the other two, they need one more to complete except that the colours are next to each other (but across a ridge) does this make sense?! My pyramid had never Been complete! I'd there an easy way to solve this :)

  • I like the advice: "You need to focus on the moves." Right....

  • Are you Lemmy?? the vocalist of Motorhead?? XDD

  • Damn I heard this puzzle was easy but damn I didnt know it was that easy. Nice video dude it was easy to understand

  • oh, well nevermind it solved another side for me

  • when i solved my second side in the first video , my firdst side got messed up

  • how do you lubricate it

    ???

i need to lube mine and dont know how but this algorithm set helped me thanks

  • @dittogeek Not sure I keep mine pretty clean. I would not use WD40 as this will attract dirt. Oil can attract dirt "."

  • you call this easy?!?! I hope that i will find a video camera and show you how its done.

  • LOL kinda don

t understand that much o.O but i found another way =))

  • i foudn some way dont know how but i just randomly solved it.

  • This guy is a legend.

Also, think same number of sides as a cube and individual colors. Just learn the 3x3x3 and every other puzzle becomes more lamen. Afterall all the puzzles derived from the Originall.

  • This guy is a legend.

  • @turdarella Perhaps thats true...lol

  • @merfnet2

    Why?

  • This is totally the next puzzle I'm getting

  • Amazon has some good ones

  • Where do i buy one?

  • This is great! I have been working on this for a long time now. Thank you.

  • @MrSpc4 Awesome, It took me along time too to get it figured out in an easy format. You will find different ways to do it. I have found my self really getting in some strange moves but keep to the formula of down over and up and its seems to work well.

  • genius! I love these instructional vids!

  • this seems like a different method from what im using. i usually solve it in layers (might be harder/slower bu meh)

  • u dont know what to say at 33sec still good vidio mate

  • OMGWTF. after watching this video i actually solved pyramix AND 4x4x4 =O

  • @KK426LH Great.

  • DUDE YOUR EXPLAING AINT THAT WELL DONE THINGS I KEEP GETTING STUCK AT 0:33 ONWARDS :(

  • @CHzCinema If you watch it , stay with the down over and up format. And if you see that at 33 sec. this is what you have just pick one color and solve it. it will work itself out.

  • FFS you go to fast i would of had it :(

  • cool good to know.......

  • 0:25

  • @4x4cubelover focus on the moves

  • Comment removed

  • were can we buy one

  • Thanks for that I can do my triangle thanks to u I got it at Christmas and I couldn't solve it I just messed I up lol tysm

  • Thanks. I kinda learned. I need it in school. And even though I don't have my own. I kinda learned. So, thanks! It really helped.

  • Constructively of course, try being a little more specific with your instructions. It makes the video easier to follow.

  • @TheBenLantz next one I will, thanks

  • i can solve a rubik's cube, and i think it's easy. but this looks a lot easier because you don't need to memorize a bunch of algorithms

  • Ijust got my pyraminx a few hours ago and i figured out a way to solve it really easily

  • easy!

  • hey thanks man im get a pryaminx and a megaminx you helped me alot! thanks!

  • where what you bought?

  • hey what brand is your rubiks pyraminx and where did you buy it

  • @ultraelite9 that wasn't rubiks

    just call it pyraminx

  • Why did you have 2 videos lol?

  • I have 3, because one video does not show all the moves.

  • HELP! i still cant solve it! please, can anybody help me??? :(

  • whats going on?

  • is the pyramid made by rubiks

  • no, i contacted Rubiks, I just called it that, made that mistake

  • same moves/algorithms as the rubiks cube

  • @mandudeguy22 Yes most cubes use the same basic algorithms for the easiest method of solving as it follows they same basic concept for each one. Notice how on a special shape like the Mega-minx (12 sided) there are very close similarities for solving it and the original Rubik's Cube because each piece has a rectangular match on the cube (edges, centers, corners).

  • where did you get this?

  • this pirimi device is fit !!! i want oneeeee

  • that is not rubiks pyramid. its called "pyraminx" and it is tetrahedron (not pyramid)

  • Thanks Dinoyoshi, I have made the correction. I have always thought of it as a rubiks, but I stand corrected.

  • your welcome :) do you speedsolve the pyraminx?

  • I think the speedsolve is great if you want to impress. I have learned that speedsolving looks real neat but what I have found more interesting is solving as I am talking with people. Then all of a sudden its solved. I really dont need to look at it to much except for a few modifications when something weird happens. I would like to see someone solve it in the time they say after i mess it up. Sometimes I think alot of what you see online is fixed.

  • where can i buy one?

  • thnx............i can do it....

  • erm i solve it without any help lol

  • This is a really poor tutorial. Solve one face-layer and then rotate bottom 3 edges with 1 of these algs. R' D R D R' D R or R' D' R D' R' D' R Then ORIENT last 2 edges- R' L R L' turn puzzle CC - L R' L' R.

Hold pyraminx so last 2 edges are on the up face and away from you when doing the last alg.

  • ok..merfnet2..

    can you give a solution...

    i not understand..

how to find the base an the next step..

  • i solved the pyramix the second i bought it.

  • I solved the pyramix a day after I bought it.

  • ur last video ruins me every time i cant tell wat ur doin

  • did you use your own method to scramble it, or did you scramble it randomly?

  • no just messed it up randomly

  • yeah right!!!!!!!

  • in the last vid you mest up yellow, what hapen???

  • what the heck man,why does everyone call it a rubik's pyramid ? IT'S NOT MADE BY RUBIK'S YOU DOPE !!! it's called pyraminx,check mefferts(.)com,geez -_-

  • 4x4 parity is easy...

  • misnamed: pyramids have square bases :-) Just thought I'd put that out there.

  • A square based pyramid has a square base :) Just thought I'd put that one out there.

  • hey where can u buy a rubix cube pyramid

  • cant make it

  • Awesome, no algorithms like a 3x3x3 rubik's cube

  • pyraminx has parity? great -.-... Just like the 4x4...

  • i just bought one on ebay im sooo excited!

  • @cpmaniac

  • this seems to be a more intuitive puzzle than anything

  • managed to figure it out myself in the end but great vid

now i can do 3X3 cubes

4X4 cubes and the pyramid now =)

  • i can do 2x2=30sec 3x3=45sec 4x4=4min 5x5=7min 6x6=9min 7x7=11min pyramid=5min and megaminx=6min

  • i havent even got half of those lol =)

  • i got 3X3 - 45 secs

    just learnt 4X4 - about 6mins

    pyramid about 3mins

  • i got 3x3 1min 2x2 45sec 4x4 8 min 5x5 15min

  • how can you do 7x7 in 11 mins but 2x2 in 30 seconds? why do your 2x2 solves take so long..?

  • i can't keep track of the moves for the last two sides. can someone type them for me?

  • I have a question. at the bottom layer, middle piece, it is mixed up. gold has a green piece at bottom. green has red piece at bottom. red has gold piece at bottom. blue is all fixed up. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

  • when you get one side, start another, then another, then another. it will work out.

  • i really dont understand. i'm sorry. (^-^)

  • you do it wayyy different to me O.o

  • I LOVE THIS GAME

    THANKS

  • this was really helpful thx:)

  • I solve the Pyraminx like a 3x3x3 for speed. It requires more intuitive sense and/or memorization skills (for the algs), but its worth it.

  • for 4x4x4 the best tutorial is from Dan Brown

  • if u can solve a traditional 3*3*3 R's cube in under like 2.5 minutes and have memorized how to do it, would solving the pyramid have the same criteria for the standard algorithms of solving the cube?

  • yep pretty much. you will find the same moves will happen over and over again.

  • i still can't solve the pryaminx, but i solved the 4x4x4 rubik's revenge ages ago, by watching dan's tutorial!

  • i don't understand, when i do my second face, it messed my first face! and there's no algorithms?

  • I agree with this, it happens every time!

  • if you know the solution to it, tell me!

  • Just keep on fixing the faces, and make sure they are on the right side. you can tell the side by the top ends. eventually, everything will end up on the right side and it would be solved. it doesn't matter if you mess up any other faces unlike the rubik's cube.

  • thanks it works!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no problem! :)

  • its called a mefferts piraminx

    duh

  • change the title

  • the triangle thing i need help it is in the

    right place but backwards

  • if i think i know what your talking about look at the first video at about 4m11sec it will show that you need to kick the color out of place in order to move it into another position.

  • u only show how you solve it you dont f'in

show the other problems for the second layer

  • you don't solve this in layers. Its not the cube look at the first video I explain the basics of thats really important to understand.

  • that was bad

  • loooooooooool i keep on accedently solving it but thank anyway man very good and clear make more :)

  • where do u get the rubiks pyramid from?

  • its actually called a pyraminx and its made by mefferts

    type pyraminx on ebay

  • sometimes you have to kick the piece out of place in order to make it work. just mess the thing up a bit and it may work its self out. I would have to see it. thats what i usually do.

  • ok how the heck do you Flip a piece? all right except two peices and need to be fliped

  • that was actually very affective

  • nice tutorial man! very good! two thumbs way up!

  • man that was pretty easy... you dont even need algorithms... just plain logic...

  • yep, crazy huh

  • Where did you get your rubiks pyramid from?

  • I think you can get them from old toy stores. Ebay will bethe best bet.

  • Hi wat happens if everything is right except one piece. This piece is just oriented the wrong way. I could take it out and swivel it and it would be all good but I wanna know how to do it without screwing with the pyramid.

    Thanks

  • If it's a corner, just twist it. If one of the sides, then the only thing to do is take it apart. There's no way to go from solved to solved with one side twisted without taking it apart.

  • where do you buy these thing?

  • mefferts(.)com

  • Piramid?!? Now i've leaned something new! xD

  • bro thanks, i fully learnt how to solve it in like 10mins. And im cabbage haha

ur a good tutorial dude guy person...

  • SWEET! It took me a long time to make it click in my head. Internet is a great thing.

  • hey thanx man. i don't even ow none of these things and i think i can solve one now. sweet

  • if you go to google and type in JPuzzler theres a pyramid applet you can play eith.

  • good job man

    you have some serious skill

    keep up the good work

  • u got skill

  • where do you buy a pyramix besides through the internet?

  • maybe a specialty toy store

  • At one point when you're holding it it looked like an evil smiling face.

  • how do you prevent pieces from popping out, cuz its been happening alot lately

  • Don't think there is any prevention for this. The pyramid is just old and they do wear-out. Best thing to do is get another one. I wore one out like that a while back. Also dont force the turns.

  • yo, one of my pieces popped out??? hw i put in back in?

  • Yeahh, thanks that was real help...

  • :O how did u turn ur rubiks cube into a pyramid?

  • u fail T_T

  • what do you mean? the rubiks pyramid is seperate from the cube

  • wow? thats pretty cool lol.

  • it only took me one day to solve this puzzle when I got it, with no help.

  • yep pretty easy

  • i dont have a pyramid but it looks like fun and u look like u teach it easy

  • where do you get a pyraminx

  • you can get them at a toy store. maybe toys r us, some people are looking at ebay. I found mine or my many replacements at a toy store in a mall.

  • they acutally stopped selling them at local toystores, youll have to find a specialty puzzle store, or just buy it online

  • EASY?

  • nore sure if its that easy, I had to do it years ago, unless they changed how its made. Try just messing the thing back up and start to fix eachside again one at a time, If there is a strange glitch it might work its self out or if there is a real issue it will show its self agian.

  • its only easy if you spend time with it. just finish one side at at time and choose another side/color it will just work it self out. I can get i done in under 2 min usually. Im not a super freak my any means but just take your time and it will just click. You will just understand it. i have taught people in less than an an hour and they can still solve the thing to this day. Years Later.

  • thanks. it did help some but what happens when you have all sides done but on 2 sides there is one block out of place?

  • if you just have one block out of place chances are that it was removed and put back in wrong. You might be able to force it out and pop it back in.

  • That pyramid looks cool.

  • wow i dont have one. but it does look cool and kinda ez for what it looks like.

  • it took sometime to understand it, but once you get it down you should be able to solve in it under two min.

  • oh crap i erased someone, talking about having the colors messed up, That will happen just do one side at a time and it will solve its self out.

  • i think its easier

  • Is easier then rubik's cube? If so I might give it a go, I can solve the 3x3 cubes now.

  • sweet, glad to help

  • thx for the tutorial, i actually solved my pyramid

  • WOW thanx!!! I ordered one a couple of days ago and then saw this. It does look easier but it looks harder and more impressive.

  • no problem. I just hope i explained it well enought.

  • thank you :) I just ordered one from ebay. it does seem easier than the Rubik's Cube :) I'll let you know how I'll do :) but yeah thanks again :)

  • great, good luck. if you have question plese post them
