Hi im i live in sweden and i don't know where to get that kind of rope do you know any sort of store like a hobby store or a hardware store where can i buy it like what kind of shop?
@TheKangarooguru They keep them for survival purposes, you can make traps, use the inner strands for sewing your clothing, making shelters and many, many other survival uses.
@90rubixcube You can skip the begining by forwarding the video, in case you dont know it!! And I havent used that intro for years. Check my newer videos!
@iiTamsterZzz It has several inner strings that can be used individually or together for a number of tasks in the bush or camping or in an emergency! It depends on what yopu need or what you want. Bring extra cord just in case!
@iiTamsterZzz the only reason they use paracord (probably 550 paracord) is because if you actually need it for a survival situation, the cord can be used (and it withstands over 500 lbs of force). you CAN use sting, but then it's practical purpose is basically made pointless. paracord is pretty easy to get. just type "Cobrabraid" into google and you'll probably find what you're looking for ("Cobrabraid" is the type of weave used). they have DIY kits out there too.
Hey I'm from Brasil, but I moved to the US when I was 7 and joined the US Army. Your English is really good for a Brasilian. If you want, I can send you some 5-50 cord. I like helping Brazilians it reminds me of home. You can email me at gustavo.h.dias@us.army.mil and we'll chat. Boa Sorte
@gusbrfltx Brother, Im glad to see a Brazilian serving in the US army as I got a couple of friends in the service there right now too! Im also thankful for your offer of help with the paracord man! And also, thanks about my english although I know I mispronounce afew words here and there but Ive never been to The US before!! Boa sorte para vc tbm meu amigo e conterrâneo! God bless Brasil and America! Take care buddy!
I used to have a "goarmy" bracelet I wore unless I was sleeping or showering to support my brothers since they are both in the national guard I looked EVERYWHERE for a replacement to the extent I called the recruiting office and no dice so I thought about buying a survival bracelet and they were 20 - 30 bucks a pop and then I came across your video and decided to make my own out of camo shoe laces until I can find some para-chord :-D
I am a soldier and ive worn a paracord bracelet my entire time in, i actually wear them as an anklet (around my inner boot) because then its out of the way of my writs for writing typing shooting etc, but easily accessible. it also gives me more cord when i need it, which we use paracord daily in todays army... never go out w/out it.
@triplef4evr fuck u bro! lol almost the entire world uses metric system except freaking us and 2 other countries! what the hell's with pound n inch. the fuck
Thanks for posting this! Just one question, i know how to put it back together (after watching your video) however, how do you quick release the bracelet, say when in an emergency?
@scoop909 Thats a down side of it cause it´s gonna take some minutes to undo the thing! If you really need some cord quickly at hand you better have some of it ready for use instead of in a bracelet! Thanks
@giutoniolo I did think that! Even when ive seen expensive versions for sale in shops, they have advertised them as if they were quickly release. I made one and it wasnt the case lol.
perhaps you should have left the camera in a stationary position, so the intricacies of the knot are easier to see, as opposed to the continual change of perspective..?
Your accent is cool :) Great video very well said and easy to understand :D i learned how to make one of these bracelets in less than a minute Thank you for posting this video!
was wondering if you knew how to make the same parachord bracelet, but instead with a knot at the finished end. so when tying it around your wrist you just slip the knot through the loop instead of tying the extra cord on like you did with the red.
Finally got some cord from my son who just got back from Iraq. I will attempt to make one of the bracelets with a dogtag attached so you can see it. Let you know when I get it done. Thanks!
I love this. it's so much better to not have to cut the cord. I am confused how to untie it though. what do you pull on to get it undone? if you burn the edges, is it stuck together? I would love to know this, but thanks anyway for posting such an awesome video!

revo33freak 1 year ago
@revo33freak It´s called "survival" because paracord has many uses in a survival situation from fire making (primitive bow drill method) it can help with shelter, fishing (using the inner strands), to make snares and traps and tie and lash whatever you need in the bush. Plus cord is one of the most dificult items for sb to replace in the bush and it always pays off to have some extra cord with you in case the stuff hits the fen. I hope that helped! Thanks for viewing it man!
