You cant change a gas pump price per gallon by typing in " a cheat code" Older gas pumps you have to take apart the gas pump and change it by hand, newer ones the only way to change it is inside on the computer. Major oil companies spend billions of dollars every year doing 3D seismic surveys all over the world looking for oil. And even they are never 100% certain of finding commercial quantities of oil when they start drilling (sometimes coming up "dry"). But you know better than they do???

Higher octane does not give more power. 99% of people don't understand octane. The higher the octane, the more resistant the fuel is to detonation, which means it's harder to ignite. It's to take advantage of advanced ignition timing in an engine with high compression. Putting higher octane in a tank where you don't need it is a waste of money.
