currently we have roughly 360000 US mil stationed overseas

Japan is roughly the size of IN, OH and KY put together (360000 sq km)

Germany is about the same size.

WWII has been over for 60 years. The Cold War has been over for more than 15 years.

Still there are 29 US bases in Japan and 15 in Germany yet only 5 in KY, OH, and IN combined.
