Sexism (Kanga does NOT HAVE to be a mother, stupid gender role reinforcements of patriarchal oppressors)
Hatred for the mentally ill (Eeyore's obviously depressed and abused)
Illiteracy (they misspelt heffalumps)
And finally, Christopher Robin should not be galavanting in the hundred acre woods when he clearly is not prepared to be a productive adult in modern society. Study harder, Christopher!
@KrisAdamsPictures Actually, "The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh" was released in 1977. (The three short films used as segments to the movie itself were previously released separately in 1966, 1968, and 1974.) "Winnie-the-Pooh and a Day for Eeyore" was released in 1983.
When I watched this short I was somewhat confused why Pooh's voice seemed lower. Now I know Hal Smith was doing his voice. Why couldn't Sterling Halloway do his voice idk for sure but I did hear from an interview with Paul Winchel who does Tigger's voice that the people for the WTP projects said Halloway wasn't "feeble enough" to continue with this short but I don't care Sterling and Jim Cummings are THE best VA's for Pooh and idk what I'll do when the 4th actor for our favorite bear comes to
Does anyone else see Rabbit as having no gender? I know that he's a male rabbit...but I never considered him being a male or female...not even in my childhood.
Deep in the hundred acre wood, Where Christopher Robin plays, You'll find the enchanted neighborhood, Of Christopher's childhood days. A donkey named Eeyore is his friend, And Kanga, and little Roo. There's Rabbit, and Piglet, and there's Owl, But most of all Winnie-the-Pooh. Winnie-the-Pooh, Winnie-the-Pooh, Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff. He's Winnie-the-Pooh. Winnie-the-Pooh. Willy, nilly, silly, old bear <3 NEver Gets Olddd !! LOVE YHU WTPPPP !!!!!!! :3
@timeador1 The song was created for Honey Tree, and by that time, Tigger wasn't introduced, which probably explains why he had his own introductory song "The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers".
I felt like a total idiot the other day, being 20 years of age and seeing the new Winnie the Pooh the day it came out, but the wonderful memories it gave more than made me feel better about it. Pooh is still as awesome at 20 as it was when I was a child, and Eeyore is my absolute favourite!
For some reason, I have no idea why (don't ask), in the 2007 version of this short that is featured on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Disney went back and redubbed some of the voices.
Now, Pooh is voiced by Jim Cummings, Rabbit by Ken Sansom (orig. Will Ryan), Kanga by Tress MacNeille (orig. Julie McWhirter), and Roo and Christopher Robin by either Trevyn Savage and Aaron Spann respectively or vice versa (orig Dick Billingsley and Kim Christianson)
I was born in 89' but I have many more fond memories of this pooh though I have some of Disney's many adventures too but my family didn't have cable for most of my childhood, my Grandmother had taped this one and played it for every grandchild I had were the tape out so much she eventually gave it to me, it still sits in the cabinet under my TV.
Pooh is still so timeless any kid can enjoy it even in today's world when most 8 year old's have a cellphone.
Why did they bother making an alternate version of these credits with a different font? (the "real" one is in the sidebar at right) You can hardly read these----the arrangement is a mess and the saturation (is that the right word?) is all wrong---you can't see the letters against the background half the time. It's odd enough to make an alternate version, but even stranger that it's LESS readable than the original.
Strangely, this one also uses a different closeup shot of the Pooh doll.
This was the only Winnie the Pooh film I never liked. It's because of the music, to me it sounded too dramatic. I always did love the other three. I did like the stories, especially the original books from this fourth film, but not the music to this fourth film though. Other than that, I enjoyed the Winnie the Pooh first three films and the original AA Mille books when I was little.
Funny, I always had the exact same distaste for this one for the same reason----I didn't like the music. But I had the complete opposite reaction from you----to me, this music is lighter and LESS dramatic than Buddy Baker's scores for the first three, not more. Baker's music lent a slight wistulness to those films that this one doesn't have, in my opinion giving it a little less depth.
Is it weird that Winnie the pooh was inspiration for the name of my Teddy bear?! Just a little XD his names cherry the bear. Mostly cause He's a dark red color so there's the explanation for cherry. Eeyore's so awesome and cute :) in a gloomy way
I am almost thinking Pooh's voice in this one was done by Hal Smith! I never knew he did Pooh, but this is definitely not Sterling Holloway or Jim Cummings. Any verified facts about this would be appreciated.
@xXAmyXBabeXx If this is indeed Hal Smith, then that is just another credit in his long list of credits. Not bad for a guy who became famous playing a town drunk in Mayberry!
@daffydoug I just Googled it. I was spot on. This was indeed Hal Smith as both Pooh and Owl in this one. I suppose there was just a TINY bit of bleed through in his voice that gave it away for me. Still amazing, though!
OMG i had the entire tape set and books. But alas I ended up watching them so much that they got messed up and we had to throw them away. But last christmas as a surprise my mum got me all of them again. No matter how old you are you always remember Pooh and all of his hundred acre wood friends!!!!!!!
@cbsteffen The voice actor was Will Ryan, who also lent his voice to Rabbit in "Welcome To Pooh Corner". In "Many Adventures of WTP", Junius Matthews voiced Rabbit.
Yeah. That's sort of why I wanted to see this. I want to see how weird some of the characters sound. I'm guessing Hal Smith's Pooh is kind of weak. That's why Disney chose Cummings as the new Pooh voice after this. They thought his voice was more like Sterling Hollaway's original Pooh voice.
It's funny! I used to memorize this entire video, and now with me being 22, I feel like watching it for the first time. Thank you soooo much for putting this movie up!
Thank you so much for uploading this. This is the rarest version of "Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore," because it's from the Winnie the Pooh and Friends VHS from 1985. The only thing you need to do to keep this up on YouTube is put a copyright notice in the description.

The narrator's voice kinda reminds me of Nicholas Courtney, the man who play Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart in Doctor Who. God rest his soul.
