  • Hi guys. I have a starter traxxis and I think it has a .18 or something in it. I really like it and haev got used to driving it. But its such a pain to look after with the constant adjusting and then the clean up afterwards. Is Brushless now the better way to go?

  • General rule.......If you like tinkering buy nitro. Brushless is much easier and can be faster. The smell and noise of nitro is a male thing.

  • The Bandit drove a Revo 3.3?

  • Great video, makes me want to get my shit running agin!! To all you brushless suckers, go charge your batteries!! Brushless is BALL LESS!!

  • hi i youst want to now witch car is beter traxxas revo or hpi trophy truggy

    tnx

  • HAHA! good job. i am into dubstep and punk ... exact opposite lol

  • GOOD VID... BUT MUSIC REMINDS ME OF DAYS I LIVED IN ALABAMA... (SMASHING DICK IN DOOR WOULD BE LESS PAINFUL THAN LISTENING TO AN ALBUM OF THIS... IS LIKE BLUEGRASS... OILDALE! I KILL MYSELF )

  • @T00LIX Given the option, I'll have any music other than S&M involving home furniture :-)

  • GOOD VID... BUT MUSIC REMINDS ME OF DAYS I LIVED IN ALABAMA... (SMASHES DICK IN DOOR)

  • Anyone know a reliable site? shopping online to buy the revo 3.3

  • Ахаха, жужжит как комар))

  • @ismael7duarte mira yo vendo un revo 3.3 esta en buenas codciones

  • how fast can it go?

  • Couldn't of picked a better song for this:D

  • put a O.S .21 tm :D in it

  • @ps3dinosaur699 thats because it is

  • That things awesome

  • I got a Redcat volcano sv and it broke in the break-in progress!

  • @eg8sohc same with mine it'l do wheelies at 80kph and beyond even without a wheelie bar.

  • RD Logics quad/Twin oval type pipe imported from the States

  • yeah but will it blend? ¥~|~¥

  • No, but can be used carefully around the wet stuff

  • Thanks :)

  • I have the 2.5R, how big of a improvement is the 3.3? Is it worth buying a 3.3 to put in my 2.5R?

  • My sons 2.5R engine had a case of bearing failure and I bought him the 3.3 as the cost of parts were not feasable. He's impressed with the increase and the shorter chassis makes it more challenging.

  • Nice video!!

  • does it wheelie good

  • Revo's are not wheelie machines, hence no wheelie bar. They will lift but not very high.

  • @ValentinoCrossi maybe yours dont mine will flip right over if i let it

  • @mrtraxxasmaster dude i wanna buy this one

  • No, but can be used carefully around the wet stuff

  • that happened to my oldd truck and i took it in to my hooby shop and he said that u or the person u go it from did not brake the motor in good

  • @lissasbob it also may be your clutch/clutch shoes/ clutch spring my rustler has the same problem. if you can lift it up so the tires dont touch the ground and rev it full then it is the clutch

  • how reliable is this thing? my tmaxx 2.5 isnt

  • My Revo 3.3 has been great, but my sons revo 2.5R has been a nightmare. Both had roughly the same use and apart from the chassis and engine, they share the same components. He now runs a 3.3 motor in it.

  • Maybe due to the fuel/air mixture. Check for any leaks (inlet and exhaust) then set up carb to factory settings is always a good starting point.

  • how much do they cost?

  • This one cost me £340 a few years ago from Modelsport UK, they now retail at £469

  • have you hade any probles with the revo

  • The conrod snapped a few years ago and the steering servo has just packed in, not bad for a fast toy.

  • man i still got my 2.5 those things are BEASTS!!! i cant count the number of times i've flipped and broken push rods...great time.

  • @UTspartan2009 agreed haha

  • nice revo video! check my revo video when you have time! :)

  • Great vid great truck.. I also have one but have to say they are not good for mudding when there running an opeb diff

  • waaaaay too lean man your engine will be no good in 2 months.....richen it when its SCREAMS real loud like that man its way too lean lookes like a year ago, i bet this engine is no more....lol

  • Revo (including the engine) is from 2006, conrod gave up two years ago whilst going flat out on a beach, but otherwise, the engine is still as it came out of the box. It sounds different due to the aftermarket pipe.

  • i have 2 revos and i just got one fixed cuz i took it in water i had to replace the steering servo

  • how did u waterproof the engine? i thought the engine could be damaged by running in moisture

  • The Revo has never been modified for wet use, it only gets splashed not fully submersed. Try not to allow water to enter the carb. But as said earlier, I always clean (pressurised plant sprayer) and dry it out after use then spray with GT85. This Revo 3.3 is now over 4 years old.

  • @badboyazza2009 can't the engine be damaged by moisture though? there's no way to waterproof it....

  • Great video and btw great song choice

You must know the movie smokey and the

    Bandit love that movie!!

  • Classic movie, never get bored of watching it.

  • love that song and truck when my dad and me saw that movie(im 15) when i was 7 years old i kind of felt in love with it :D then 1 year ago he bought me this car and im loving it except when i broke a part hehehe

  • I recommend some sort of waterproofing, but i have never used anything. After each wet session, I fully dry out the Revo and spray it with GT85 or similar.

  • do i have to water proof it ?

  • Well worth the money. I have had several other r/c's and the Traxxas brand has been the best. Also bought the Revo 2.5 for my son. They have been put through all kinds of crap and still running well. Easy starting system and also easy to clean.

  • I am thinking of bying one and just wanted to know if you thought its worth the price? Thanks

  • 4 turns is a good starting point for standard set-up, but my Revo is not standard and I adjust the mixture to suit the current conditions. Running it in dry conditions at -6C requires a different mixture than when it's raining at a tropical 18C. That is why they are adjustable. BTW, try pre-warming the block on the side of a mountain in winter as we use our toys in the wild, not back yards etc.

  • does this car have gears?

  • Yes, it has a 2 speed autobox with reverse. The speed for gearchange is set by adjusting a screw through a little hole in the top of the gearbox.

  • You really need to tune those things, they are so lean!

  • Thanks for the advice, I run it slightly rich due to the RD logics pipe. The temperature in the UK changes constantly so regular adjustments are required. It normally runs at 4.5 -5 turns out.

  • @ValentinoCrossi Well I have to say you have a air leak. The 3.3 HSN is set at 4 turns out of the box. You have a air leak thus making you have to over compensate to allow it to run some what normal.

  • 4 turns out is ok when the ambient temp is above 20C, but try starting and running when the temp drops below 0C.

  • i wish my rustler came stock with talon tires

  • @BiggRob1221 I am sorry but I have a rustler and it sucks

  • Het man I have the same car and I was wondering so you have to so anything to it to drive it in the snow thx

  • Once you get it started (hardest part in the cold) just have fun. Remember to spray it down with warm water after and check the electrics for damp. I normally put it somewhere warm to dry out.

  • perfect song choice bro the like that song sooo much from back innn the day

  • vid wont load

  • Still working at my end, and no other problems reported.

  • song?

  • Eastbound and Down, from the 1977 film 'Smokey and the Bandit'

  • I recognise that gold rover at the start

  • The Revo is quicker 0-60 ;-)

  • Great action

  • Thanks, must try some action with bullet cam fitted chasing a FireBlade !
