How Many Strings Can an Electric Guitar Have All The Way Up To 7 8 9 or 10 or 11 But With One Neck Only Please Reply Quickly To Tell Me But Someone Who Knows
@isabarriga I suppose you could have as many as you like, but after a while you couldn't reach the lowest. There's gotta be 9s but I think I've only seen 8s
@isabarriga there are 12 strings, but ther each string is doubled. in terms of different strings 8 is like the max, a normal amp cannot handle a deeper string.
A classic Les Paul has a mahogany neck and body with a maple top. Depending on what you want, you can make it out of other woods for a different type of tone.
@idanbo1 please don't confuse "Les Paul"Shape" with an authentic Gibson Les Paul.
You could make a "Les Paul "Shaped" guitar out of Balsa wood and fine Italian marble. Like King (and others have said), it depends on what you want it to sound like.
Personally, I want a Helium Bubble wrapped with a carbon fiber sealed center core, with a polished rare earth top and back with a baby seal tooth bindings...
Bamboo 50K year old shark tooth inlays, and picks made from rare tortises!
I actually have 2 in progress with red cedar carved tops. Red cedar is used as a tone wood in acoustics. Mine are not solid cedar and I would think a solid cedar guitar may be quite lightweight as it's not a dense wood. Mine aren't done so I have no experience with it yet. It's all good!!!
I was wondering what your opinion on Koa wood is? I've been inspired by the Travis Bean guitars that use Koa wood without any top or back or sides.
I definitely want the finish to be the bare wood of koa but enhanced with clear acrylic or stained or whatever like the Travis Bean guitars. However, I'm not sure that the tone will be great.
So what would it be like if I had a maple body, with a Koa top?
i shouldnt say much yet, but u should consider making guitars out of multi wood body's. maple/walnut mahogany/alder(my paul). good job tho!! u seem to have patience!!! keep it up !
I usually let it dry in my shop for 3 months after I resaw it. It's supposedly dry when I get it but I let it sit around some more after it's opened up.
Goes to show how much work is really involved in making a quality custom guitar. This is going to be great actually watching the step by step proccess!
what is that wonderful tool called that he use at 1:00-1:10?

The one I'm marking with? It's called a tri-square and can be bought anywhere.
KingBlossomGuitars 1 year ago
@KingBlossomGuitars yes that - one more question what kind of wood will you recommend for a guitar to play blues with?
moellerdk93 1 year ago
@moellerdk93 mahogany, if you like gibson blues, alder or (swamp)ash if you like strat blues.

KingBlossomGuitars 2 years ago

I've never worked with Koa. I' guessing it would be like mahogany but others could tell you from experience.
KingBlossomGuitars 2 years ago
there are 2 factors to consider when using multiple woods
the way in which their tones "mesh" together
and the way they interact with temperatures (all woods expand contract slightly differently from one another)
wont go into technical details (although i wont pretend to be an expert) but mahogany and koa is a good duo when considering both of these factors.
ive never heard of a maple and koa combo, not to say it mightnt be good, just that i dont know

can I use narra?
karloynion 2 years ago
Yes...I don't know what kind of tone wood it is.
KingBlossomGuitars 2 years ago
I have read an article that narra has a sweet tone. Please describe what sweet tone is.
karloynion 2 years ago
I'd suggest going to a guitar store and asking to try a guitar with sweet tone.

im thinking about making a guitar, need some help since itll be my first, im also thinking about using pine. any suggestions?
20108024 3 years ago
I wouldn't recommend pine, it's not a good tone wood. Consider poplar or alder, mahogany, maple
KingBlossomGuitars 3 years ago
i want a bright sound, so i think mahogany is a warm sound.
20108024 3 years ago
maple gives a bright sound, so does alder. single coil pups

I suppose that marking on the wood with anything other than pencil is not advised?
glasscorpion9 3 years ago
Not especially, it's easier to remove if you need to....not as permanent as ink.
