@justkahuna I respect you sir, and I am going to join the Military air force or military in a few years, and I hope we will soon be able to pay you and your lost men, our gratitude for serving us for the past few years.
Thank you all for your service. May those who never returned find peace, and their families.
To all who did make it back, we honor you more than you can know. Some day you will get the thanks you deserve. I just hope we can show our gratitude sooner rather than later.
its a tradition in my family to join army airborne in my family so i plan on it in 2 months but stories like this that my uncle told me from personal experience in vietnam with the 173rd make me want to go running to the recruiters station on my own.
Thank you gentlemen for doing what our forefathers have done before yourselves. Looking at the dedication for ones country i am glad i served in the United States Military following in my fathers foot steps. We will never forget the sacrifices of those who have done so for our freedoms.
Thank you to all who have served. As a Marine, let me say i respect every one who has served, is serving, and will serve. Freedom doesn't come free. God bless America.
This is a very good song, and hearing the All-Americans sing it put chills up my spine. It was because of men like Lawrence Joel (the medic who was awarded the MOH), and the men who laid their lives down that day, that helped lead me into enlisting. That, and the fact that my dad was Army (Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 101st Division Artillery). I would like to to thank every one of my fellow servicemembers. Hooah, and Ooh-rah.
Fuckin Awesome!! I remember hating having to sit and listen to the chrous when I was in the 82nd. Didn't know what I was missing out on. Thank you for posting.
As a former member of the 173rd. Airborne Brigade Bco.2/503rd Infantry (Airborne) Vietnam 65-66 and 82nd Airborne Div. 2/505 Infantry (Airborne).I would like to ask for all to please respect this forum and honoring this song for the Men of the 173rd.Airborne Brigade (1/503rd.)who lost their lives on 11/8/65.And Niles Harris who told this story. I lost good friends that Day and it irks me when I see or hear interservice Bravado at the expense of these lost gentle heroes. A Brother at Arms.
thank you for what you and your brothers in arms did and are doing to this day yall are the reason we are still free you guys went thru hell over im just glad you made it back
I wish the sound wasn't so shitty these guys are really good. but sorry to the all americans but I would rather have a Screaming Eagle watching my back
I am in the United States Navy. I witnessed the death of my best friend that I've known since Kindergarten. It was by far the worst experience of my life, and it just so happened on November 8th, 2005. Our ship got blown up at sea. Me and one other man survived. The rest passed, including someone who I considered a brother. One day, I will see him again. I love you and miss you, bro.
