there is a Van Ronk gif floating around out there on the net somewhere that has the C and D sections tabed out in prinipal at least. if you cant' find them leave me a message and I'll look for them good luck
Well done! This is the best I've seen this played, next to Chet Atkins. Where can I pick up a copy of this arrangement? I've searched quite a bit, but I gave up a long time ago. Would you be able to give me some direction, or send me a copy?
That was Great, but can you also play the rest of the tune? Everyone only plays the first part on guiter, i would love to hear the other part, too.. ;)
Actually, that was the first TWO parts. The Chet Atkins transcription only has the first two parts so that's all I learned. But feel free to look at the Heliotrope Boquet ragtime video with all FOUR parts. :^)
I was expecting you to play Allan Jaffe's version. What do you think of his transcription. And, I'm requesting you get Ragtime Nightingale on here or any Lamb rag. Maybe I'll beat you to it. I'd love to hang with you, since I play similar fingerstyle.
Some of the Jaffe arrangements I really like (such as Heliotrope Bouquet and Frog Legs Rag), others I'm not as keen on, like The Entertainer and Maple Leaf Rag.
Nice! If fingersqueaks bother you, you could get some FastFret or something similar. That should take care of squeaks and make the strings last longer. (I'd better keep my mouth shut, though, as I still haven't got some of the stuff). :) Keep it up man!
The finger squeaks comment only refers to this song. Although I did use the stuff often when I lived in hot and humid Florida, playing outside where even your fingers sweat and kills your strings in an hour.
very nice, great bass line, makes the tune.

I've seen a couple of transcriptions in C, but I like D better. More flexibility in Dropped D.
